Chapter 146 Seed of Blessing, Seed of Curse
Returning from the Celestial Realm. Mohe, Doro, Charlette, and Feiker.
The spoils were the goddess's corpse, Charlette's power, and a "Seed of Curse" "Seed of Blessing."
The Seed of Curse was the goddess's own hatred and curse, while the Seed of Blessing was imbued with the power known as blessing. After Mohe gathered them, they condensed into seed form, which she favored because it was the form chosen by the World Tree, the form selected by the initial creators of life forms in this world. She found it quite insightful.
She had always done things this way, when creating a race or life form...
Numerous angels just floated in the sky, as if transformed into motionless dolls.
"...Mr. Doro, what do you think should be done with these angels?"
When Doro and Mohe returned, the land creatures' counterattack against the angels ended. The sole king had returned, and the orders given by the Wise King naturally lost their effect, as everyone awaited the sole king's decision.
Doro thought for a moment and said, "Let these angels return to the Celestial Realm and live their own lives. Now that the goddess is gone, I want to see what kind of spark such a race will eventually ignite."
"Following your orders."
Mohe picked up the pure white Seed of Blessing, and white light rippled. Then, the angels seemed to receive some sort of instruction, and they all returned to the Celestial Realm through the teleportation gate. Mohe then closed this gate with her power and found the Elf and Roland sisters, instructing them to sever the connection between the Celestial Realm and the ground.
After completing this task, it had already been two days since they returned from the Celestial Realm.
"The Seed of Blessing, the Seed of Curse, which one do you want your child to possess?"
Mohe found Doro and candidly advised him, "I've modified the form of this power a bit—after experiencing your birth, the goddess's fall, the birth and shattering of the blessing, I've gained further understanding of certain powers. If your child possesses such a seed, it will be his foundation to ultimately take a significant stride forward."
Doro stared at Mohe, saying, "Are you suggesting that if my child possesses the Seed of Curse or the Seed of Blessing, he will have the potential to transcend our realm?"
"Yes, Mr. Doro. If it weren't for your composure, the goddess's death, or the understanding of blessing and curse powers, I wouldn't have been able to create such a thing. I wouldn't have been able to manufacture this 'potential.' Which kind of power do you prefer your child to have?"
Doro was somewhat puzzled: "How can you be sure I'll agree to something like this? Letting my child possess what you claim to have created with your so-called Seed of Blessing or Seed of Curse? You clearly have ulterior motives, and in these domains, your understanding is far deeper than mine. I can only rely on instinct and intuition to judge your actions."
"That's your choice, or, you can further rely on your instinct."
"Such arrogance from a maid, is this how you speak with your master?"
Mohe immediately knelt, holding a tray with the two seeds respectfully.
She raised it high above her head, even though it was unclear where she produced the tray: "My esteemed master, your most loyal servant sincerely hopes you no longer suffer eternal loneliness and sadness as I have. If your child can attain eternity through these seeds, then in the long years to come, you will find solace. This would surely be a delightful thing. I assure you, in creating this, I acted with pure goodwill."
The goodwill of the Demon King Mohe.
Doro didn't believe in Mohe's goodwill, but...
"I will consult the child's mother."
Mohe's words touched Doro's heart.
Simply put—even though Lisidorwei, who by Mohe's gift attained eternal life and became part of the Blood Race, her eternity was a "false eternity." It's not true eternity. She wasn't like the goddess, who even in death could spawn new beings solely from evil thoughts, nor like the goddess, who even in death might someday revive. The distance between true eternity and false eternity is incomparably vast—not to mention everyone else.
Charlette, possessing the goddess's power, did not truly own this power. Her life was also finite.
As for everyone else...
Could Adeline possibly reach this realm?
Both Doro and Mohe anticipated it, but at the same time, they weren't very optimistic.
When thinking this way, Doro suddenly realized... even though he hadn't yet experienced it, Mohe's existence had already proven to him... that time would infinitely pass. This realm is undoubtedly lonely. Despite the intense feelings he held for Mohe right now, perhaps one day those feelings would cool, perhaps he and Mohe would become like Mohe and the goddess, at that time with him alone sitting on a solitary throne, watching everything beneath the heavens, anticipating repeated "rebellions" and "interesting events."
Such a vision seemed already reflected before his eyes.
That vision was undoubtedly not far off!
Whether Mohe's intentions were goodwill was not very important, but she mentioned "seed" and "potential," which sufficed to capture Doro's attention. He couldn't ignore this, so he found Lisidorwei, Rose, and Ah Xion—the earliest maids of the former mansion aside from Mohe.
