The Radiant Light - [English Version]

Chapter 11: Unforgettable experience

In a noisy corridor filled with the sounds of chiseling, the cracking of crystals, and the wind rustling through the windows, a masked figure is walking. It is Zebraem, heading toward the room containing Renacer, to enter behind it and test the peak of his abilities. Suddenly, a voice calls out from behind.

**Voice:** "Sir Zebraem, wait a moment! Can we walk together?"

**Zebraem:** "Dande."

Dande is sitting in the fourth seat to the right of Diego, in the same row as Zebraem in the previous meeting. He has wings made of dandelion petals that constantly fall. They emerge from his back and cascade like a stream, but they never touch the ground because they vanish just before reaching it. His physique is similar to Zebraem's; both are about 1.8 meters tall and quite well-proportioned. The two walk down the corridor together, chatting.

**Dande:** "I was informed by Lord Diego about enhancing power by entering Renacer, so I came here. He also told me you were heading to the room containing Renacer."

**Zebraem:** "Hmm. How did you recognize me?"

**Dande:** "It's not very difficult. Your aura is always very distinctive. This form looks quite powerful."

**Zebraem:** "I rarely use it, so you don't see it often. This is actually the form I possess. My human form was merely to fulfill the tasks assigned by you."

**Dande:** "The Lords are always very busy, aren't they? I hope you continue to strive for our common goal, Sir Zebraem."

**Zebraem:** "Diego told me that the enemy inside Renacer is a peak manifestation of oneself. I want to know how strong I can become."

**Dande:** "Lord Diego told me the same. He also mentioned its mechanism. That makes me a bit apprehensive."

**Zebraem:** "Mechanism? He didn't mention anything to me."

**Dande:** "Why didn't he tell you?"

**Zebraem:** "I guess it's because he was granted the ability to foresee the future, so he knew you would come here and mention this, hence he feared wasting words on me."

**Dande:** "Perhaps. Lord Diego wouldn't make such mistakes."

**Zebraem:** "What he cannot predict are the thoughts suddenly influenced by emotions."

A moment later, they arrive at the door of the Renacer room. Upon entering, they notice that the room is predominantly black, similar to the corridor they just walked through. Approaching the Renacer gate, they both feel a strange aura about it. It emanates a blue hue with a faint, pleasant fragrance wafting through the air.

**Zebraem:** "Is this room filled with incense or something? Why do I smell this strange fragrance?"

**Dande:** "Not before. But after it was brought here and placed, it began to emit that smell. Perhaps it started to exude the fragrance after Aykon (referring to the Reversal of Fate) entered."

**Zebraem:** "So how do we get inside?"

**Dande:** "Lord Diego told me that you just need to place your hand on the door and channel a bit of energy into it, and the door will automatically open. Apart from the one channeling the energy, no one else can enter."

**Zebraem:** "That Diego! He didn't say anything to me!"

**Dande:** "Let's... proceed, Sir Zebraem." (Dande tries to avoid mentioning Diego)

Zebraem places his hand on the door and channels a bit of energy into it, as Dande instructed. The door displays beams of light tracing the patterns above it and slowly opens. Zebraem and Dande can see nothing inside; it is merely a dark curtain fluttering slightly like ocean waves. Zebraem wants to enter first, so he informs Dande. Zebraem casts a series of defensive spells, including Physical Protection (which enhances defense against physical attacks), Interruption Resistance (which increases resistance to effects while casting skills), Mental Attack Resistance (which boosts resistance to mental attacks), etc. After casting several defensive spells, he takes out a vial of blue liquid and drinks it, which is Ethan. Ethan has the ability to temporarily expand the user's energy reservoir for about 30 minutes. With preparations complete, Zebraem reaches out to touch the black curtain and slowly enters.

Inside the back of Renacer is an infinite expanse; Zebraem sees black mountains in the distance. Above him is a crimson sky with booming thunder, and the temperature inside is exceedingly high, likely over 70 degrees Celsius. Every time a lightning bolt appears in the sky, the light shines down on a figure standing about 50 meters away from him. He tries to focus on that figure, which resembles him exactly, and it is also... looking at him with bright red eyes full of murderous intent. That figure begins to take a stance, lowering its center of gravity, one hand reaching forward, clenching into a fist, as Zebraem sees its form clearly. Suddenly, Zebraem feels his body immobilized; he thinks of the technique Gane. Gane is a technique where the user channels a large amount of their own energy into a part of the enemy's body that the user is looking at, rendering it motionless in space and unable to be shifted by the affected individual. The amount of energy used to execute Gane will always be at the level it was used when cast; once cast, no more energy can be channeled. If the targeted individual channels an amount of energy greater than what the user channeled, the technique will rebound upon the user. The energy of the affected individual will resonate with the user's energy and then be pushed back, causing significant harm to the user. In cases where the targeted individual attempts to channel energy into the Gane-affected body part but the amount is insufficient, resonance will still occur, and that body part will remain immobile. The rebound will only happen if the affected individual channels an amount greater than the initial energy plus the energy previously resonated. This is a powerful yet risky technique, only those with a large energy reservoir and confidence that the energy used in executing Gane will sufficiently pressure the enemy would dare use this technique. Moreover, channeling energy from one's body into another is a task that requires intense focus and is difficult to control the energy flow as intended.

Back in the battle, Zebraem is very surprised by what just happened; his entire body is frozen due to Gane. He tries his best to channel a large amount of energy from his reservoir into his entire body to break Gane, but it has no effect. A thought suddenly flashes in Zebraem's mind.

**Zebraem:** "Why am I executing such a risky technique? Moreover, on the entire body of the enemy. That means if I fail, my body will be torn to pieces." (Thinking)

While Zebraem is still confused and grappling with his thoughts, in just a split second later, an attack with terrifying speed rushes toward him. Everything in front of Zebraem gradually becomes blurred, and in his ears, a sound emerges that only appears when there is no other sound. Then, Zebraem is blasted out of Renacer. His body is covered in blood, with burnt areas exposing his bones.

**Dande:** "What's wrong, Zebraem? I will take you to the emergency room; it's just next door. Hang in there, Sir Zebraem!" (His tone filled with panic, worry, and horror)

Dande never thought a Lord could be injured to the point of death after just one minute of stepping inside Renacer. He is terrified and hurriedly carries Zebraem to the emergency room.

**Dande:** "Hey, where's the doctor?!!! Lord Zebraem is gravely injured; he needs treatment right now!!!"

A group of people rushes over and carries Zebraem away; it seems they had prepared for such a case in advance. The doctors place Zebraem in a containment chamber filled with a pale blue liquid.

**Dande:** "What is this?"

A man covered in numerous red mushrooms appears and approaches Dande.

**Mushroom Man:** "Sir, my name is Ganoderma. This is a liquid extracted from Renacer; we call it Resurrection. Lord Diego said that the injuries sustained inside Renacer have very special characteristics and can be healed quickly with this liquid, so we created a containment chamber to preserve it and use it for cases like Lord Zebraem's. We were also informed by Lord Diego beforehand about this, so we were prepared."

**Dande:** "Lord Diego told you? So he knew what would happen next when Lord Zebraem entered there. Yet he remains so calm!"

**Ganoderma:** "We deeply regret it; Lord Diego instructed us not to let anyone else know about this. Otherwise, we would face severe punishment." (He speaks with a somewhat fearful expression)

**Dande:** "I don't blame you. I only blame Lord Diego for being so ruthless, but after all, he is a demon." (Dande sighs)

Their conversation ends at that moment. After seeing Zebraem's condition, Dande has no intention of entering Renacer anymore. He decides to wait until Zebraem wakes up to ask what happened inside before making a decision.

About a month later, Diego organizes a meeting to announce the use of Walls to separate the world with auroral walls. The Marshals have gathered fully, all are those who were present in the meeting on the day the Reversal of Fate entered Renacer. There are no unfamiliar faces, only one is missing: Zebraem, who is still recovering.

**Diego:** "I organize this meeting to inform you all that the city for the return of Lord Zebraem has been completed along with some other important matters. First, I want
