Chapter 16: chapter 16
~ Roxanne's POV~
{ Master, I recommend using Tsukuyomi on Vali Lucifer without inflicting any injuries. }
" Wait, Ciel, wouldn't that be overkill? Tsukuyomi is powerful enough to cripple someone mentally, and with Vali's personality, he would fight even in the Genjutsu. The more someone resists it, the more powerful the backlash it will inflict on them. " I asked in disbelief.
Yes, I created this technique as a way to punish Euclid, since he prided himself on being able to defend against any mental attack with his magic. This is the perfect counter for him because, unlike in the Narutoverse, beings here don't use the method of disrupting mana flow or chakra. So, it is a very useful technique in my arsenal. However, unlike Itachi's Tsukuyomi, I modified mine so that the more chaotic one's mana flow is, the more draining it is to escape the Genjutsu. Usually, people don't bother to keep their mana flow in check during a fight, which further makes my Tsukuyomi deadly for such hot-headed individuals.*
I also discovered that while you cannot die from it, you can be mentally crippled if you exhaust your spiritual power to the limit.
{ Then would you allow me to customize Enduku to immobilize the target? } Ciel asked immediately.
Tsk, she planned this, didn't she? Ciel knew I wouldn't use anything deadly against Vali, so she proposed this first to get permission to experiment with Enduku and the Sacred Gears.
"Sigh, Ciel, you can do that, but don't go too far with your experiments." I said with a defeated sigh.
{ I have no idea what you're talking about, Master. I only follow orders.} Ciel replied with a not a desblief tone.
" Yeah, yeah, I know that." I said sarcastically. It was already confirmed when she said those familiar words.
Sigh, I really wonder if it was wise to create Enduku. I only made it because I thought it would look cool if I had the Gate of Babylon. Well, no use crying over something I don't entirely regret.
" Putting Enduku and Vali aside, Ciel, has anything notable happened with our spy network? " I asked to change the subject.
Well, I kind of expected the mess in Grigori, since it's clear that Kokabiel is revolting. Loki might be troublesome since he doesn't want peace. As for the vampires, they finally stopped their pointless search. I was hoping to blow up a few of their secret labs to divert their attention if necessary.
" So, nothing out of the ordinary, right, Ciel? " I asked.
{ Yes, Master, everything is still going according to predictions. } Ciel replied.
" Well, let's go home now that everything is solved. "I said as I got up from my seat. I then activated a teleportation magic and went back home.

The next day, Issei could be seen heading toward the ORC building with a resolute expression. As usual, he entered the building and went straight to the office. Inside, there was a petite, white-haired girl sitting on the sofa, munching on some snacks like always.
Seeing her, Issei thought, ' Well, here goes nothing.'

Issei and Koneko could be seen running toward the marketplace. Why the marketplace, you ask? Well, it was because of the map he was carrying. This map had been given to Issei by Shaltier (Roxanne in disguise). At first, Issei was skeptical about it, thinking, "Why the hell would those two go to the marketplace where there's no supernatural activity?" But he was speechless when he reached the center of the market.
There, he found Irina and Xenovia in their nun clothes, shouting things like, "May you bless this lamp!" or "May you have some kindness!"
As he was about to talk to them, a piece of paper suddenly fell from the map in his hands. Curious, he picked it up and read it, only to be dumbfounded.
Koneko, seeing Issei's confused expression, took a peek at the paper and was equally puzzled. She turned to him and asked, "Where did this letter come from, and why does it say, 'You should order another serving'?"
Issei calmed down and replied, "Well, first, this letter is from my informant, who is also the one who gave me this map. As for your second question, I was about to invite those two to a restaurant to start our negotiations."
At first, Koneko didn't see anything wrong with that, but after a moment, her eyes widened, and she muttered, "She predicted your movements when she gave you that map."
Issei nodded grimly, but suddenly, Ddraig spoke up: "Although you two have been playing to her tune, she didn't have any bad intentions when she gave you that map, Issei. So you should forget about this piece of paper and continue with what you were doing."
Issei and Koneko nodded and went to meet the church duo. The first to notice them was Irina, who cheerfully called out, "Issei-kun, did you come here to receive a blessing from God and have your sins purified? I knew you'd come to understand God's teachings eventually! Come, I'll do your purification personally!"
While Irina was rambling about God this and God that, the devils were on the verge of crying. Why, you ask? Well, it was because Irina managed to insert *God* into nearly every sentence she spoke. Koneko was relatively fine due to her longer experience as a devil, but Issei, being a newly reincarnated devil, was on the verge of fainting from the overwhelming backlash he was receiving nonstop.
Fortunately, he was saved.
"Okay, Irina, that's enough, or you might actually purify him with your words alone. So, what do these devils want with us?" Xenovia interrupted.
Before Issei could answer, Koneko asked an important question: "Why are you two begging in the streets?"
