Chapter 1755: New Knowledge
The Primordials had thoroughly hidden the knowledge of the Primordial Beast's existence, and there was no mention of their names in any historical compendium; their memories had been utterly erased from Reality, and yet, the moment this Primordial Beast stepped through into the Great Abyss, its powers could not be denied or hidden.
It was not a creature of power in the way a Titan was, a force of sheer cosmic strength. Its power was subtler, deeper, older. It appeared as a shifting, humanoid form woven from the roots of a million world-trees, its skin like bark etched with the maps of every living planet, its hair a cascade of flowing bioluminescent moss, and its eyes—its eyes were pools of still water reflecting the first spark of life in the universe. In one hand, it held a pruning knife made of a dying sun's last light. In the other, a pot filled with black soil from which a tiny, perfect galaxy, teeming with nascent life, was sprouting.
All of the immortals here at first believed that they were looking at Primordial Life, and this would have been acknowledged if not for a massive burst of Aura exploding from the body of the Primordial Beast that announced its name to all, before quietly retreating to a section of the Arena where the perception of none could reach.
The message it gave was short; however, it caused an avalanche of shock that rippled across all creation, and if the gathered powers here thought that this battle would be the defining pivot of this Era, they realized that they had not yet given it enough importance.
Its message was,
"I AM THE PRIMORDIAL BEAST ARUDORON, THE WOOD DRAGON, GARDENER OF THE ENDLESS REALMS. YOU DO NOT KNOW MY NAME OR HOW LONG I HAVE TOILED IN SECRET. IF THE CHAMPION OF THE PRIMORDIAL BEASTS PREVAILS AGAINST THE PRIMORDIAL, A NEW AGE SHALL DAWN!"
One of the greatest mysteries about this duel between two Primordial entities had been the participants of the battle.
One of the participants was rumored to be the Throne of a Primordial, and not just of any Primordial, but the Primordial Demon.
There were numerous Old Ones who had escaped from the Great Desert after its destruction that were there during the Primordial Era, and they knew that of all the Primordials, the first demon was one of the scariest entities to ever face in combat.
Unlike other Primordials, he preferred to be more hands-on, and he was the last Primordial to leave Reality. Most believed that he had never rested like the others, just retreated to the depths of the Great Abyss to wait.
Also, he did not have a Throne. You see, other Primordials had Thrones, but they were rarely used; they seemed content to allow Reality to slide into chaos or order without putting any effort into regulating all of existence, but every power knew that if a Primordial Demon had a Throne, Reality would be a far different place.
Because of the demon's unceasing need for a challenge and battles, even after the Primordials had won the war and eradicated all resistance, the fighting between the Primordial Domains would not remain quiet and circumspect; instead, it would have been an all-out war with the Great Abyss against all Primordial Powers.
It was a well-known secret that the other Primordial Domains had been scheming against the Abyss to ensure that Primordial Demon was not given a Throne, but it seemed that was about to change.
Now, there were talks that this battle would involve a Throne of Primordial Demon, and if that was not disturbing enough, the second combatant was an unknown Primordial Power that sought to supplant the rules of the Primordials.
No immortal present here was foolish; most were at the eighth-dimensional level, and they had seen the changes ongoing in Reality. They all knew that what was happening was outside the purview of the Primordials; the only thing they did not realize was a name associated with these changes.
The Ouroboros Serpent that destroyed the Great Desert was an unknown being, but its power had shocked all of creation, the shattering of the Celestial Court, the creation of the New Light, now worshipped by many factions in Reality, and the tremendous growth opportunities being enjoyed by all lifeforms were more than potent signs of what was coming.
But now, that opposition had a name… Primordial Beasts.
In the height of the Abyss, Staff frowned as she communicated with the Incarnation of Rowan inside her consciousness,
"Bold… this Beast, he wants to take your glory for himself. Was this part of your plan?"
The Incarnation did not reply for a while, as if it was no longer present, but Staff could still feel his presence, like an ache behind her eyeballs, and she waited patiently for his reply or his non-reply. It was hard to predict the direction of Rowan's thought.
"I had expected something like this after revealing my serpents to Reality. The mysteries of the Primordial Beasts are deep, but now they are nearly completed."
"What do you mean by that?" Staff asked with unabashed curiosity.
The Incarnation whispered, "There are six Primordial Beasts that emerged in this Reality, like the Primordials, they seek out Realities in order to consume Origins, but unlike Primordials, they are a rather symbiotic species, and they proliferate life, even as they take sustenance from Reality."
Staff chuckled with a bit of nervousness, "I am sorry, but Origins, Realities? Do we have multiple Realities, and are they freaking alive?!"
The Incarnation paused; somehow, it seemed both of them were shocked at the same time. Staff was surprised by the bombshell that Rowan had just revealed, while he was shocked that she was still very ignorant about the fundamental nature of existence.
For a while, both were silent before Rowan sighed,
"I have been distracted and spoke before giving you enough background on the nature of existence. Forgive my oversight, but when I was created and placed inside your consciousness, I did not know many of the things I just spoke about, and this knowledge inside of me is relatively new."
