The Post Sky Tipping Era

A new Cross-border Gate appeared before Li Yi, and through a corner of the gate, Li Yi could glimpse a part of World No.17.

It seemed to be a modern world, with skyscrapers rising in the distance.

However, this world appeared to have suffered some great calamity, seeming somewhat lifeless, though the environment wasn't too bad. There was cosmic energy in the air, though its concentration was low, it was still enough to sustain cultivation.

"Go."

Without a moment of hesitation, Li Yi immediately rushed toward the Cross-border Gate.

But just at that moment,

the Sky Moon Demon King, who was battling Earth's strong men in the sky, noticed Li Yi's move to escape across dimensions. Instantly, several beams of moonlight broke through layers of obstacles, shining towards him.

Even though Li Yi's speed was fast enough, the moonlight was even faster, covering him in almost an instant with such a broad range that there seemed no place to hide.

Li Yi was prepared. The two layers of Red Gold Treasure Armor on him shimmered with divine light, forming an indestructible defense, so even the Demon King's power pouring down couldn't easily kill him.

He managed to rush into the Cross-border Gate under the cover of the moonlight.

However, the Cross-border Machine beside him wasn't as lucky. It was crushed into powder instantly, leaving only three intact miracles: the Dragon Scale, Luanyang Feather, and World Heart Gem.

Li Yi's face sank as he quickly collected these three intact miracles into the Five Elements Bracelet before the gate closed.

However, without the Cross-border Machine, does it mean he'll be trapped in World No.17?

"Li Yi, don't worry. Once the time is right, we'll open the Cross-border Gate and bring you back."

Said Li Weiguo, seemingly noticing Li Yi's hesitation while battling the Sky Moon Demon King.

Upon hearing this,

Li Yi dispelled his doubts and temporarily felt at ease hiding in World No.17, avoiding the deranged demon king from dragging everyone on the battlefield into a fight just to kill him.

And just as the Cross-border Gate was about to close,

Master Xuanzhen, Luo Bing, Fei Xue, and other four Mahayana Cultivators were a bit dumbfounded. Li Yi had escaped across dimensions, so what were they supposed to do?

They couldn't stay on Earth, and returning to the Xuanxian Continent meant certain death.

If they had known this was the plan, they would've had him take them along.

these Mahayana Cultivators, with a sweep of their Divine Sense, would have no problem finding a cross-border point. Once they reach the Barbaric World and mention Li Yi's name, the cultivators there would naturally accept them.

And with so many Tri-Floral Realm cultivation experts at Red Gold Mountain, these few Mahayana Cultivators couldn't stir much trouble and would be better restrained.

Having dealt with that, the Cross-border Gate finally closed completely.

Li Yi now found himself in an unfamiliar world, ignoring the battlefield as he surveyed his surroundings. He realized he was outside a city with several highways nearby.

However, many abandoned cars were parked along the roads, and the climate was somewhat harsh.

The sun shone intensely above, the surrounding land baked into sandy soil, with the wind blowing up clouds of dust.

"This seems like a wasteland world." Li Yi remarked, not seeing any signs of human activity.

It seemed that at some point in the past, a great calamity occurred here, yet he saw no human remains, which confused him.

But it didn't matter.

At least this world was safe. A wasteland is still a wasteland, but there was enough material in the Red Gold Five Elements Bracelet to sustain Li Yi for quite a while until the Cross-border Gate opens again.

Thinking of this, Li Yi immediately moved and flew toward the city.

He intended to find a place to rest.

Li Yi landed in the center of this abandoned city.

It was equally desolate here. Though the buildings maintained their original appearance, they resembled danger zones that had tipped after the sky fell, suddenly abandoned at some point in time, and heavily weathered by nature.

Fortunately, he hadn't gone to the Incense Fire God's world; otherwise, with the cross-border machine destroyed, he'd be stuck there forever since the others didn't know the coordinates of the Incense World.

"Next time I return to Earth, I'd better get a few more Cross-border Machines, just in case."
