The Order Of Swords

Achlys and his gang were wandering over a plateau surrounded by the deep mist formed by the aurora gates found deep inside the caves of these tablelands. "Cryoo... how long will it take for us reach the next town!? I am bored" Lecia complained and started whining.

Cryo sighed and replied as he face palmed. "Almost there, dumb head...! Now shut it!" He was annoyed by her constant whining and immature act as they made their way in the misty plateau. Achlys amused by their spat, laughed.

A while later, as they continued walking, Cryo felt an ominous presence and shape shifted to a human.

He looked at Achlys who noticed the same and searched for the source.

He looked straight up and saw something closing in towards them from the misty sky.

"Oh shit! What the hell is that!?" Cryo instinctively jumped back and stood in front of Achlys for saving him from potential threat.

Their eyes widened as they saw a child fell on the ground from such height and his blood spread all around with splat of blood covering Achlys and the others.

"Eww! Thats Disgusting!" Lecia screamed and she tries to rub the blood off her body and clothes.

"Just where did this young boy come from!? Who dropped him from the sky?" Cryo asked.

Achlys horrified from this view fell on the ground "huff... Huff... Huff..." He succumbed to fear as he stared at the body and started shaking.

Meanwhile in Achlyss mind realm, Bellona sitting on the throne of flames surrounded by blazing fire spheres noticed the state of spheres changing and turning blue. Bellona realizing about what was going on got off the throne and saw it all. "SHIT! SHIT! THIS IS REALLY NOT GOOD!"

Using her telepathic powers, Bellona contacted the two via spirit wavelength straight out of her marking. "Cryo...! Lecia! You got to help Achlys!! He is having a panic attack...!"

Cryo and Lecia hearing the voice turned around and saw Achlys in a poor state.

"Lecia, do something!" Cryo noticed some steam coming out of Achlys body. "That must be it! His fear is overheating his mind realm."

"On it...!" Lecia instinctively hugged Achlys in hope of calming him down.

Meanwhile Cryo grabbed his hand and with a bit of thrust, punched him in the chest with some ice magic on it.

This made built up energy in Achlys heart, the gateway to mind realm react to the foreign energy making its way through and neutralize it.

A few minutes later, Achlys stopped shaking and came back to his senses.

Cryo helped him stand up and supported his stand.

Bellona noticed the changed in situation and thanked them for their good work. "He is still scared, huh..."

Achlys finally got back to normal and fainted from the all the energy transfer and neutralization process.

"He is unconscious now." Cryo lifted Achlys and carried him on his back. "Here, hold his sword."

Cryo noticed Lecias worries. "No need to worry, he is alright now. Just needs some rest, thats all."

She held onto his sword and they made their way onto the next city.

Lecia ran her hands through his hair. "Poor boy...Is there a reason as to why he cant withstand the sight of death in front of him?"

"I have no idea how he is so vulnerable to death despite having faced many strong trials." Bellona replied.

After walking for an hour or so, Cryo who was watching over the horizon noticed a huge city.

"Lecia, we are finally there! There is a city in our view!" Looking at Achlys he said, "We can ask for some help there."

Lecia nodded and held his sword tightly. "Lets go...We need to make it there before sunset! I dont want some random souls taking over my body." Lecia genuinely felt creeped out.

The residents of the city of Libertatis, Pegaluves, also known as the angels of human realm roamed around the city busy with their daily life.

They have a body of a human and wings of a bird, each pair of wings coming in different colors and sizes which made differentiated them from each other.

There is a legend that there was an angel of upper realm who married a human which lead to the beginning of the Pegaluv species. Though they are known for their hatred of towards humankind but no one knows the real reason.

Achlys and his gang made their way into the city of Libertatis.

They were mesmerized by the view that was before their very eyes. The clouds that were high up in the sky looked as they could be caught with a little jump if they tried.

Skies were filled with Pegaluves flying across and some portraying their talent in various fields.

"Wow! They look so cute!" Lecia pointed out to the pair of Pegaluves dancing in the sky.

"Wish I and Achlys could be this romantic." She pated Achlys head and gave him a forehead kiss. "Youll be all fine soon." She said faintly, only for his ears.

As they made their way into the city, Cryo felt as if something was wrong. "Dont you think these guys are staring too hard?"

"Yeah, everything went quiet all of a sudden too."

"You must not know about the rumors and the way Pegaluves treat humankind."

Bellona said, worrying about Achlys. "You need to hurry to a safe place soon, Achlys is a human."

"Rumors...?"

Cryo noticed through his peripheral vision, some guys approaching them with weapons they held onto.

The murderous intent they released were noticeable to everyone in the gang. People kept their door and windows and soon streets became empty, not even a single grain was left.

"Those guys are here for us." Cryo became alert.

"We need to run; we cant fight with Achlys resting right now."

One of the Pegaluves charged with a boomerang and threw it with a very high speed.

"Oh fuck it now!" Cryo was ready to throw some arms. "ICE WALL!" A giant wall of ice rises stopping those Pegaluves from charging at them with sharp and deadly weapons.

"This shouldve stopped it..." As he felt relieved for creating a wall in the nick of time, the boomerang permeated through the wall without even putting a single scratch on the wall.

"What the heck...!?" Cryo baffled by the swift movement of boomerang through the wall charging at them.

"Cant even stop a puny weapon, dumb bird..." Lecia sighed and took the matters in her hand.

"Gravity Shell!" she creates a huge sphere with different gravity acting inside it. "Ill make it a hundred times!"

The sphere charges at the boomerang to capture it but fails to as the weapon made its way through it without a single dent.

"What the heck is wrong with that boomerang!?" Lecia astonished as its one of the strongest magic didnt work against a single weapon.

"Wait a second...That weapon is nothing like your everyday weapon." Cryo stares the boomerang as it was heading towards them. "Thats clearly an artifact! It was warp through time and space."

"No time for that!" Lecia pulls Cryo who was holding onto Achlys on his back to save them from that weapon.

The Boomerang hit the ground and exploded with ropes coming out from the metal shell left after the explosion.

"Are you stupid!? You could have died just now!" Lecia screamed at Cryo with anger.

"It wasnt just the boomerang you should be wary of!" Two Pegaluves with tridents suddenly came behind them for a surprise attack.

"Shit!" Both said in sync, they turned around to dodge it.

"Shit...we wont be able to dodge." Lecia tried to escape.

"Ice wall!" Cryo created an ice wall to stop their tridents from stabbing them. "Ice Blade!" He created a blade of ice to fend off any long ranged attacks.

Meanwhile the ropes from behind tried to capture them as they tried to run away from it.

"No matter where you go intruders, these ropes have never lost a race." The Pegaluve with a squad captain badge on its chest said in a mighty tone and laughed. "Run as far as you like, but as long as you are in our territory...no one can save you."

The squad captain had golden brown wings that were as large as a human body, his small yellow horns and wings shinned as bright as the sun when he made his way to the ground.

"Who the heck are you, Bird man!?" Cryo infuriated by their actions yelled at the squad captain.

"Watch out!!" Lecia tried to warn Cryo but it was too late. She was busy with fending off the two Pegaluves with tridents.

"Oh shit" Cryo who didnt had time to react got caught by the ropes and hung upside down along with Achlys who was still unconscious.

"Honey!" Lecia ignored the two Pegaluves and ran towards her friends.

"After her!" the two Pegaluves also started chasing her.

"Run away, you idiot!" Cryo yells at her.

Uncountable number of ropes chased Lecia along with the two Pegaluves.

Meanwhile the squad captain walked towards Achlys.

One of the two Pegaluves threw the trident at her suddenly came before her eyes, meanwhile the other caught up from behind.

"You? this is enough to catch me?" she jumps high up in the air.

"Zero Gravity Enhancement! I will leave the rest to you, dumb bird. Make sure to protect him at all costs." She ran away and disappeared between the clouds.

The squad captain ran his hand through his hair and made its way to the cheeks holding it tightly. "A human is something that I despise the most." He pulled his head by his hair. "Fucking shits!" He slapped Achlys and then punched him in the abdomen.

"I am gonna fucking kill you if you touch him again!!" Cryo yelled at the squad captain and tried to untie himself.

"That rope is at least a high grade artifact, it wont break that easily." He unsheathed his sword and pulled by his hair again. "This marking...I wonder if I can steal it."

He tried to stab it but as soon as the sword touched the marking, time stopped and Achlys hair changed to red and his eyes turned to pure gem orange reflection the light of sun itself. The squad captain stopped moving and his sword fell from his hand.

"His eyes...?" Cryo noticed that his eyes balls were not there.

"ARGH!!" the squad screamed in pain as his head started get bigger and bigger. His eye balls crawled inside his skull. Every citizen of the city heard his blood curling scream. His hair started to fall off and blood came flowing out his eye and mouth. "Stop it! Stop it, please! Someone save me! Argh!"

"Bellona whats happening!?"

"He is under a curse of Loop of death. He experiencing the pain and suffering his victims went through when he mercilessly killed them all without heeding to their cries of help." Bellona replied.

Achlys woke up and saw the Pegaluve still screaming in pain as he pleaded for mercy. "What is going on!?"

"Oh you are awake...Thank god." Cryo sighed in relief.

"He tried to steal your mark but the defense system of the mark got better of him and put him under a curse." Bellona explained the situation to Achlys.

"He is in so much pain...is there no way to stop it??" Achlys looked horrified as he heard those screams of agony.

"What are you even saying? He tried to kill you a minute ago!"

"Haha!" Bellona laughed at the question Achlys put up. "Typical Achlys...this means he is back with us now. Though the only way to stop him is to kill him, there is no other way."

Achlys suddenly started having flashbacks of the boy that got killed.

"Ill do it! Dont let him do it! I am his sword." Cryo suggested.

"Bellona can you do something about this rope?"

"Sure, can do." Bellona burned the ropes to ashes and freed Cryo and Achlys.

The rest of the Pegaluves didnt move a inch in fear brought up the screams they heard.

"This is the effect of being in peace for too long...the army lost its determination and will." Bellona said softly to herself

"Close your eyes, Achlys...think of Tiabishi and dont open your eyes no matter what."

Achlys did as told and closed his eyes.

"Lets do this...fucking shits are gonna pay." Cryo cracked his fists and neck as moved towards the walking corpse of squad captain.

He created giant spikes that came out of the ground where he was lying and stabbed him through his body.

"Bow of Ice..." he created a bow with his magic and targeted his head with arrows until he got satisfied.

He threw away the bow and created a sword, beheading the squad captain and relieving him from his misery.

"Scram off! You can stay if you feel like getting beheaded..."

The rest of the Pegaluves flew away in fear.

Tiabishi ran around the town in search of clues, when suddenly she heard someone create with a huge thud he created as he walked.

She noticed an old man walking towards her with a huge sword that he held as a cane.

The old man walked through her ignoring the young elf that looked worried and was in search of someone.

"Uhm...Mister, have you seen someone with a phoenix?"

Tiabishi asked the old man stopping him in his path.

The old man suddenly pointed out to a certain direction with his huge sword, holding it in his left hand.

"The sword guides the future and the souls follow it to its end..."

The old man said and left with the huge sword.

"Just who was he?" Tiabishi was confused by the mysterious old man and his sword.

"He was really strong...I will not even a last a few seconds against him if I fought him right now."

Ignoring any further misleading thoughts, Tiabishi went into the direction pointed out by the old man.
