120 The not-immortal Blacksmith II – Back to Max
19th of Arah, the second Month of Snow.
2291 years since the new gods came.
Maxwell's Journal.
I haven't written for almost a month! The voyage has been fast. Very very fast. There was fishing, and fun. I have never tried "Water Skiing" before. Not really my thing but Brianna enjoyed it immensely, as did Grendel. The chef can make fish taste like not fish, which is a good trick in and of itself, but his not fish was excellent.
I have made an investment in the ship's business, and hope that someday there will be a fleet of ships like this cruising the oceans.
We land tomorrow in the port city of Bagaanderge in the Duchy of Shifract. I hope regaining my land legs goes smother than I remember the last time I made a long voyage like this.

Land legs are the least of my worries. We had to visit a money changer once we made port to get local currency. The man tried to take advantage of us like we were some kind of yokel. Brianna worked it out with a kind smile, and some words I never thought she knew…I should have known better.
21st of Arah,
We are playing tourist. As usual, I'm visiting the temples, the oldest parts of the city, and the bakeries. I haven't run into any of "Them" yet at the temples. So far so good.

Tranquility peaked around the corner of her temple in Bagaanderge, and gave a shudder. "Good. He's leaving."
"Who's leaving?" A sweet and melodic voice asked from behind her. She spun, only to find herself looking eye to eye with an elven woman she remembered quite vividly.
"Why, lady Brianna! I didn't know you were here!" Tranquility lied. "But I must be going! Have a good visit!" She waved her hand, and disappeared in a puff of glitter.

24th of Arah,
I have heard an interesting thing. Apparently, the small kingdom of Dys; better to call it tiny; is ruled by an undead, and has been for over a thousand years. I think I want to visit. It's a 3500-mile trip. I will have a chat with the family about it.
25th of Arah,
Both Bri and Grendel are intrigued at the idea of meeting an undead who isn't (by most accounts) trying to actively kill them. We will be waiting until spring to head out, we've had more than enough of winter shenanigans.
