Chapter 4. Dwarves X Elves. Wait, That Sound Wrong!
After calming down, he returned to the main topic. "Among those three Divine Items, which one do you recommend me to use?"
[It depends on what you're planning.]
He explained. "If I plan to share about coal and methods to craft bronze, which one do you recommend?"
[It is recommended to purchase Divine Intervention: Dream.]
Cedric thought for a moment and agreed with the System's suggestion. He then clicked on the purchase button to buy the Divine Item.
[You've purchased Level 6 Consumable Divine Item, Divine Intervention: Dream. For 100 GP.]
With that notification, a pale pink octahedron crystal appeared in his hand. The crystal gives off dream like feelings which make him enter a trance.
Cedric pulled his eyes from the crystal and asked. "How do I use this crystal?"
[You can send a bit of your mental power inside the crystal. Then, simply pull the target you wish to use the 'Divine Intervention: Dream' on using your mental power.]
"Eh?" Cedric let out a confused sound. "How do I send my mental power inside the crystal?"
[Controlling your mental power is similar to controlling your GP just like what System did before. The only difference being you aren't required to move your GP.]
[Do you wish to spend 100 GP and let the System teach you?]
He read the explanation and shook his head at the offer. "I'll try it on my own first. If I fail, I'll ask for your help."
Cedric closed his eyes and tried to control his GP just like what the System did before.
It took a few attempts before he finally got the right feeling and successfully did it. Then, he tried to leave the GP behind while controlling the mental power to move out of his body. This too, took quite a few attempts before he finally succeeded.
The feeling of releasing his mental power is quite similar to blowing air from his mouth. But he can control the 'wind' even after they leave his body.
Not only that, even though his eyes are currently closed. He can still observe his surroundings thanks to the mental power he released.
While looking around the Divine Space and having fun moving with his newly learned mental power, Cedric passes by the clock he created and finds out he has spent a whole month trying to release his mental power.
The realization shocked him as the mental power he controlled became unstable before finally dispersing into the surroundings.
When he felt it, Cedric panicked and asked, "I accidentally lost my mental power. Is it now gone or can it still recover?"
[Your dispersed mental power can be restored over time. You can still release it, although they will be slightly weaker for an extremely short time.]
"Oh, okay." Cedric calmed down and released his mental power once more. This time, he already knew how to release his mental power and could release it even with his eyes open. The feeling of having two points of view is quite weird.
Without playing around, he controlled his mental power to enter the Divine Intervention: Dream.
Once his mental power reaches inside, an ethereal space appears. The ground is made of something similar to clouds, meanwhile the air is filled with ethereal mists. In the sky, a pale pink light descends from between the mist and shone into the cloud like ground.
Cedric thought of the [Divine Intervention: Dream]'s description and tried to change the color of light that fell from the sky.
He tried to change it just like how he created things in the Divine Space before.
The mental power he placed inside the Dream Space released his will and the sky's color changed to pale gold from the initially pale pink color.
The Dream Space that initially feels like a red-light district immediately turns to something that gives a sacred feeling.
As the sky inside the dream space changed color, Cedric faintly felt the energy inside the [Divine Intervention: Dream] decrease.
Initially, he wishes to craft a massive palace complex. But after some thoughts, Cedric changed his mind and merely created a throne. Next, he willed for a body to appear and sit on the throne.

With a face that's an exact copy of Cedric's, the body sat on the throne while wearing a pale white linen robe and a golden crown imbued with many beautiful jewels on his head. His right hand held a scepter made of gold with a massive crystal decorating the scepter's top, while on there was a silver sword hung on his waist.
Cedric controlled his mental power and tried to enter the body he created in the dream space.
Although the sensation is a bit weird and differs from controlling his actual body, he actually succeeds at possessing the body he created in the dream space.
While moving around the body in Dream Space, he rubbed his chin. "Something feels lacking."
After thinking for a long time, Cedric found out what he was lacking. "There is no sense of mystery! Also, the ones I am going to pull are creatures from many races. If they saw me take the form of a human, they would think I favor humans more than the others. Although that is indeed correct. After all, I am also a human, at least previously."
So, he changed his face and covered it with a blinding light. As for his body, he decided to make it change form every so often once he pulled some people from the Crystal Cube world to the Dream Space.
Finally, he controlled his mental power to observe his Crystal Cube world.
***
At this time, the sun in the Crystal Cube world has just risen. Even then, the weather is still cold as the season of fall has almost ended, and winter will soon arrive.
Cedric's sight first appeared nearby the dwarf's magic mountain and saw them busily collecting ores and coal. Some of them can be seen standing next to something that looks like a furnace made of stone.
The dwarf standing nearby that furnace placed some of the coal that he should've gathered before inside and used the flame to melt the ores he already gathered to collect the pure metal hidden. Then, he mixed the metal together with varying compositions.
The sight reminds Cedric about the description from the Basic Dwarf Package he purchased.
"As I expected, the Basic Metallurgy knowledge included in the Basic Dwarf Package also taught them how to craft bronze already. Guess I won't need to pull them this time and can save on the [Divine Revelation: Dream]'s energy."
While Cedric is in thought, the dwarf he observed has finished mixing his metal and crafts it into the shape of a stick.
Then, that dwarf took his metal stick to the mountaintop and arrived in front of a hut. To that dwarf's left, nine other dwarves stood, all of them of varying gender and age. When a new female dwarf arrived at the mountaintop and saw there were already ten dwarves, she went away from the mountain peak.
A moment later, a male dwarf went out of the hut while also holding a metal stick in his hand. Using the dwarven language, the dwarf that has just come out said, "Have you come for today's challenge?"
All the other dwarves nodded and showed their metal sticks. Every single stick they own has similar thickness and length.
The dwarf who spoke before raised his metal stick and grabbed the opposite end of his metal stick with both of his hands. "Let's start!"
Starting from the leftmost side, the dwarf that has been standing walked forward and grabbed his metal stick with both hands. Then, the two dwarves pushed their metal stick against each other until the stick looked like the 'x' symbol.
Both dwarves keep on pushing the metal stick before one of them finally bent. When the challenger dwarf whose metal got bent saw it, he sighed and pulled the metal before going down the mountain.
Soon, another dwarf comes forward and the things before repeating themselves.
Looking at the dwarves pushing their metal stick against each other, Cedric muttered. "Are they testing each other's metal's hardness?"
He watched their tradition until the fourth dwarf came forward before losing his interest.
He then moved his mental power and began observing the elves.
Unlike the dwarves that wore clothes made of animal skin, the elves wore clothes mostly made of huge whole leaves tied together with a vine. The leaves look just like a banana leaf, but much bigger and stronger.
They folded the huge leaf in half and tore a hole for their head to enter right in the middle of the leaf's fold. Then, they used vines and tied it around the waist area of the gigantic leaf.
Although the clothes they wore are more akin to decoration rather than something to keep warmth. But, due to the magic forest they stay at constantly keep a spring-like temperature. Even in the late fall season, the elves didn't seem to feel cold at all.
Looking at the forest that's constantly in spring season, Cedric said. "Well, guess I finally found out why the forest in the Basic Elves package is called a magic forest."
He then observed what the elves were doing.
Most of the elves are gathered in groups in many open areas nearby the rivers that pass by their magic forest. They're using the river water coupled with some clay and mud to make sculptures. there are also elves busy weaving some dried leaves into baskets and decorating them with flowers and leaves.
It doesn't seem to be a competition though, as they simply praised each other's craft once it is completed.
Cedric muttered while looking at the beautiful statue an elf had just made, "Although I feel like this is a waste of time. But, I must say the elves truly have an amazing talent in arts. With limited materials, they could actually make such a beautiful art pieces."
While those elves are busy crafting their arts, he saw one of them seems to grow hungry and left the opening to wander around the forest.
That elf simply looked around the forest and found a few fruits to eat. Once he was done, he wore a sleepy look and raised his head to see the brightly lit sky before going toward a group of houses previously created by System.
Those houses are made from a mix of woods, clay, mud, and stones. The materials combined nicely to make a house that perfectly blends with nature.
Upon entering one of the houses, the elf I followed went to a bed made of weaved mats and slept on it.
For information, the sky is still brightly lit. That's to say, this guy actually slept in broad daylight!
Cedric thought the elves simply have chaotic sleeping times. But after scouring through the magic forest, he saw most elves were playing with mud and clay nearby the rivers.
Except for sick elves, none of them sleep in broad daylight.
"I've decided. I'll pull this elf into the dream space later!" As the elf has taken his attention, Cedric decided to use this elf as the core of his plan to teach creatures about bronzes. "But before that, let's check on how the humans are doing."
