The Newbie God Is Summoning Heroes From Earth [World Creation/ Management]

Chapter 103. The First Level 4 Creature and Lacius’ Disappearance.

Inside the Divine Space, Cedric muttered to himself. "I think I need to put Ghiana together with Lacius on my crazy scientist lists. Luckily, unlike Lacius, who has no bottom line for the sake of achieving his immortality, most of the things Ghiana does are simply to make Elisa happy."

He suddenly recalled the moment he sent Elisa to the Crystal Cube World. 'Should I say Elisa's choice to pick her mom as her cheat was extremely smart? After all, the cheat I could give her definitely wouldn't be as powerful as her mom.'

At last, he finally stopped monitoring the world and continued to fix the V2 dragon. Because Cedric had fixed most of the problems before, he merely spent another decade before stopping.

Looking at several thousand dragon bodies in front of him, Cedric nodded in satisfaction.

"Finally, those dragons' ability and intelligence won't decrease even after more than a hundred generations."

"Now, what should I do next?" Cedric muttered while lying on top of a massive mattress he had just created.

After staring blankly at the ceiling of his house for a few hours, Cedric sent his mental power to the Crystal Cube world.

This time, he didn't have anything in mind and merely used his mental power to check a random corner of the world.

After a whole day, he moved his mental power toward an elven city and peeked inside the elf's internet.

Because Cedric only told the elves to stop their study to develop the internet, the internet itself wasn't removed. But a new type of computer, smartphone, faster internet connection, or advanced website won't be created.

That means for a long time, the elf's internet will only have email, a forum, and somehow, a video-sharing website.

What a pity that the connection speed is absolutely abysmal because the study on the internet must be stopped in its infancy.

It took a long time to upload and download a video to the internet, which means most of the users merely used it to communicate through texts.

Thankfully, that slow connection doesn't matter to him. After he observed how Ghiana created the internet before, Cedric already understood how Ghiana's prototype internet worked.

He moved his mental power into a plant that worked as the internet's storage server and immediately used his mental power to decipher the data stored within. This way, he can browse anything he wants without caring about the internet speed.

While he is reading a novel the elves shared through their network, the System suddenly appears.

[Somehow, you look like a good-for-nothing who simply scrolls social media every day.]

"I've been working hard for a long time. So, I definitely deserve this break. Furthermore, I am simply wasting time until an important event arrives."

Cedric moved his mental power to Elisa and checked her status.

[Life Level: Peak Level 3
Exp: 99%
Potential: Upper Level 5
Talent: Lesser Nature Affinity.]

After giving Elisa a Basic System Screen, Cedric can also use it to see Elisa's Exp.

Although Elisa had turned into a NEET after reincarnating as a tree, she still spent time increasing her life level.

Thanks to her hard work, Elisa was already on the verge of reaching Level 4. Coupled with her high potential and Lesser Nature Affinity, once her EXP reached 100%, she would only need to kill a random demon to advance.

Furthermore, just like how she had instinctively learned a training method after her previous advancement, she would most likely gain a training method for Level 4 as well, thanks to her Lesser Nature Affinity.

At last, Cedric concluded, 'That means I don't need to create a training method from scratch and can simply adapt the one Elisa comprehends.'

[Tsk, tsk, tsk. Not only have you kidnapped her, but you also plan to exploit her.]

The System's remark made Cedric roll his eyes. "Do you have the memory of a goldfish? Did you forget who's the one that excitedly asked me to kidnap Elisa?"

[…]

After sending that ellipsis, the System disappeared. But Cedric also kind of lost the mood to browse the elves' internet because of it.

That's why he continued to send his mental power to travel around the Crystal Cube World.

As his mental power wandered, Cedric saw the southern ocean, where a few ships were sailing in search of islands with precious resources.

That's when an idea struck him. "Let's fill the ocean with more interesting creatures."

In the ocean, aside from normal creatures like fish, shrimp, clams, seaweed, and the like, there were only a few magical creatures.

Even the number of demons in the ocean could be counted on one hand, and most of them lived in the southern waters, where many ships often passed by.

The more he looked at the empty ocean, the more certain Cedric became.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"I'm still not too sure I can create a hive-mind creature before my world levels up. So, I'll create ocean creatures while spending my extra time studying hive-mind creatures."

With that decision, Cedric opened his panel to check the amount of GP he had.

[Name: Cedric Hills
Level: Pseudo Lesser Divinity (Actual level: Peak Level 3)
Law: None.
World: Crystal Cube World
World Level: 2
World's Average Potential: Lower Level 0
GP: 7.804
Annual GP income: 10]

With more blessed dying from battle or natural causes, the GP he gained had long since risen to 10.

But just like when his world was still at Level 1, there was a limit to the annual GP gain. After his annual GP income reached 10, it stopped increasing, no matter how many creatures died in his world.

Thanks to the increase in GP and the fact that he'd had almost no expenditures for nearly two centuries, Cedric's total GP had actually increased for the first time since he became a god.

Compared to when he had just returned after kidnapping Elisa around two centuries ago, his GP had grown by more than 1,000 points.

"No matter how many times I open this, seeing my GP finally stop decreasing brings tears to my eyes." Cedric slightly wiped the corner of his eyes and began contemplating.

'It took more than 500 years for my world to advance from Level 1 to Level 2. Reaching Level 3 will definitely take longer.'

'Even if I assume my world will advance after 500 years, by that time I'll have gained more than 3,000 GP from the annual income. That means, as long as there's no sudden massive expenditure, I'll have at least 10,000 GP by the time my world levels up.'

Cedric then calculated the cost of creating creatures, expanding the world's size, and other things before finally deciding to create two extra intelligent creatures, aside from the dragon V2.

After reaching that decision, Cedric continued to contemplate, "Talking about ocean races, I'll definitely create a mermaid. The problem is, what other race should I create? Should I even create two intelligent life forms that live in the ocean? What kind of relationship should they have with the mermaids?"

To seek inspiration, Cedric began observing the Crystal Cube world.

While his mental power was traveling under the ocean, he saw an octopus, and an idea struck him. "Hmm? Creating an intelligent kraken might not be a bad idea."

The more he thought about the giant kraken, the more satisfied he became with the idea.

Just when he planned to start creating the mermaid and kraken, Cedric suddenly froze. He sensed something and sent his mental power toward Elisa.

***

At the center of Elisa's city, there was a rabbit-like demon lying in a cart beside her. The corpse had several holes in it, with fresh blood still flowing from within.

It was bound tightly with an iron chain, showing that it hadn't wandered into the city on its own but had been brought in after being restrained.
Cedric could easily guess that the demon had been brought by other elves for Elisa to level up. Especially when he saw how her body had begun causing ripple-like mana fluctuations.

When Cedric saw the energy fluctuation that lasted for a few minutes, his mouth twitched slightly. "Damn, leveling from Level 3 to 4 actually caused such a ruckus."

That energy fluctuation was also how he sensed something happening near Elisa, which showed just how eye-catching it was.

Once the elaborate mana fluctuation ended, Cedric immediately observed the change in Elisa.

[Life Level: Lower Level 4
Exp: 0%
Potential: Upper Level 5
Talent: Lesser Nature Affinity.]

After scanning her body with his mental power, Cedric concluded that the change from Level 3 to Level 4 was different from the levels prior.

If every increase from Level 0 to Level 3 merely increased the energy within a creature's body, at Level 4 the energy within them seemed to gather into a center.

Cedric wasn't sure why it happened or what kind of change it would cause, but his gut told him this change was quite important.

While Cedric was checking the change in Elisa, she also felt the difference in her body.

She tried releasing her blessed power outward, and a massive change immediately swept through the surroundings.

Everywhere Elisa's power passed, plants grew wildly while flowers blossomed without caring about the season. Even the elves' plant houses weren't spared, as they began to grow uncontrollably with flowers blooming everywhere.

Her power affected more than half of the city before finally stopping.
The sudden change caused the surrounding elves to panic until Elisa sent messages to calm everyone.

After that, she called Ghiana to test her newly increased abilities together. This time, however, both of them tried to limit the area affected by her power as much as possible.

From testing her control, mana reserves, and ability output, to replicating the training method Elisa instinctively comprehended after leveling up due to her talent, both of them were busy maximizing the gains she had received from advancing to Level 4.

In the Divine Space, Cedric has also thoroughly studied most of the changes within Elisa's body.

"It seems I'll have to put aside creating mermaids and krakens for now. I'd better focus on developing the Level 4 training method for the three races first. It might not be used in the near future, but it'll probably give me some extra inspiration when I get around to creating the mermaids and krakens."

Cedric had already studied the training method Elisa comprehended by directly observing her energy circulation path. Using that as a foundation, he replicated several elf, human, and dwarf bodies to serve as study material.

"Let's start with the elves." After muttering so, Cedric began drafting several possible training methods. He then chose the body of an elf, pushed the energy within it to the peak of Level 3, and finally sent a strand of mental power to possess the body, testing the method he had devised.

At first, nothing went wrong. But after a few hours, the elven body he possessed suddenly began bleeding from its seven orifices before the elf's stomach abruptly exploded.

"As expected, creating a training method for humanoid creatures based on a plant's method is incredibly difficult," Cedric complained, then immediately possessed another elven body and restarted the experiment.

This time, it took him three years to adapt Elisa's training method into something usable by the elves. Once he had the elf's method as a basis, everything else went much smoothly.

Although the energy circulation pathways of elves, dwarves, and humans differ, the differences weren't nearly as extreme as in Elisa's case.

While working to create a method suitable for humans, Cedric suddenly recalled Lacius and decided to check on his condition.

Because Lacius is training while petrifying himself, coupled with the fact that his potential is extremely low and has already become a burden for his growth. Even after using magic ore as a resource to increase his level faster, Lacius's growth speed is actually lower than Elisa's.

"Still, he should've reached the peak of Level 3 around this time," Cedric muttered while sending his mental power into the Crystal Cube world.

When his mental power arrived at the secret underground space below the temple headquarters, Lacius was nowhere to be seen.

Cedric continued by spreading his mental power throughout the entire temple, yet still failed to detect any trace of him.

A few years ago, while waiting for Elisa to level up, Cedric had checked Lacius's hideout and found him still petrified within. But now, after only a few short years, Lacius had awakened.

"That can only mean he's reached the limit of Level 3 and is searching for a way to advance." Cedric couldn't think of any other reason for Lacius to leave his undergound lair.

Returning his mental power to Lacius's underground base, Cedric activated Past Observation to see where Lacius had went to.
