The Mystic Saiyaman.

Chapter 6: Act 01 - Book Club.

[ Previously ]

- "Did I do the right thing?" - Gohan thought as he flew swiftly towards his house to get ready for another day at school.

- Destroying weapons won't save these humans, that's not how it works. - A bestial voice answered inside.

- By doing away with weapons, most crimes could stop occurring... there might still be risks, but it would be a solution, you know you can do something so simple. - Gohan replied in his mental space, where a large imposing dragon figure opened its eyes from rest.

- It's not because it can be done that we should do it. - The voice replied again.

- Think of the lives we're going to save, humanity has had a genocidal history since the dawn of its creation, maybe without weapons around, things will settle down and I won't have to interfere in the world all the time, with crimes popping up every hour around the globe.

- Cigarette. - The voice said.

- What? - Gohan asked confusedly.

- Cigarettes kill much more than guns... and people are aware of this, but they continue to smoke. - The voice said seriously. - You want to save lives... arrest everyone so that no one else smokes and ends up killing themselves with these drugs.

- Also take away the cars of those who drive fast, threatening the lives of innocent people who are walking.

- Also take away everyone's pet, which they leave without a muzzle to walk down the street, threatening other people's puppies.

- And to finish off, kill everyone who doesn't recycle... anyone who doesn't take care of their own planet is just another accomplice in what will in the future be a natural apocalypse caused by their own actions.

- I'm trying to bring peace to the world, Shenlong... how hard is it to understand that? - Gohan retorted, annoyed by the moral lesson.

- You don't get peace through control... you're a warrior, a hero... not a dictator. - Shenlong replied, his voice sounding almost welcoming. - That's why I chose you, you have the power and virtues of someone who wants to change the world for the better, you're not like other warriors who train and fight for the sake of fighting, in fact? you're the only person who hates fighting and still does it, and I've come a long way.

- And what do I do? Look what happened last night. - Gohan said with a deep sigh. - If, even with my interference, crimes like this occur, what will happen when I die?

- Gohan, I'm not saying I disagree with your speech. - Shenlong said, under Saiyaman's confusion. - In fact, I believe that the evolution of this world will only flow when they let go of the differences of the past and use this new magical art of theirs.

- I still don't understand? - Gohan asked confused, since his speech was almost like that of a dictator.

- You act, boy... but don't change who you really are. - Shenlong explained as he closed his eyes again. - Keep acting with your speech, show everyone that you want worldwide acceptance of every country through control, rent the government states demanding their weapons and nuclear keys... they really don't need it.

- Humans are at a point of evolution of their own, clinging to weapons of war will really only do harm, when they should instead focus on this diluted magical aptitude of what you know as the KI... but really to unify the countries... you'll have to be the villain of the story and not the hero. - Shenlong explained, with Gohan already understanding. - Be the dictator villain in front of the cameras, don't show submission to any country... but that's clear as an act. That way, humans will stop their rivalries and unite to fight a common enemy. Because, really, the only person fit for the job is you, someone who won't abuse power and will keep them united and evolving.

- Without a common enemy, humanity will continue to be divided by its rivalries and a world war will break out in the future. So yeah... now that crime is down to almost zero with his hero persona, it's time for the planet to unite in an alliance against the greatest villain they've ever had, their own hero turning against humanity.

- So, even if I continued to save them for the rest of my life, keeping them neutral... with my departure, a war could break out again? - Gohan asked himself seriously as he rapidly approached Japan.

- Boy, I'm a fragment of the creator's divine essence... so, yes, I have some tendencies towards free will, but I also know that they need a push. - Shenlong explained as his tail went around the entire mental space inside him and slowly touched his chest, where the tattoo of seven spheres rose in pure power. - You of all people are capable of this, because I don't have to remind you of the fact that it was you who allowed yourself to have a dragon sealed in your soul, in order for humanity to stop abusing my powers, which perhaps in a decade's time could result in my divine essence becoming obscured with evil dragons appearing and ravaging the universe in pure evil.

- You're already the most powerful warrior on this planet, the first-class singularity who carries a fraction of the Creator's power... and now humanity's number one enemy... do this and it's certain that the whole planet will join in an alliance against you... and we know that they can't fight back, so... yes, the world union will continue and the eminent evolution of humanity will finally catch up. - Finished the divine Dragon of creation... who once again returned to his long sleep inside his host, finally letting him get on with his daily routine and keeping the Dragon Spheres with him and away from any inappropriate use that in the future would only bring chaos to the whole planet.

[ 1st Arc: School Life ]

While waiting for all the members of the book club to enter the newly refurbished premises earlier that evening, Gohan aimed to ignore all of Videl's feverish questioning, which she was exasperated about how he had fled her dormitory into the skies last night, destroying all the glass panes in the process. Her mind was too turbulent to dwell on idle chatter and she had only one focus there before she left.

- "Look, Piccolo... they're not wrong, I couldn't even protect my father." - Gohan remembered when his master and best friend had asked him why he was so down. - "And there are no excuses... I let it all go to my head and belittled my opponent when I had the power in my hands to atomize him out of existence."

- "Listen! I'm not going to pretend to understand what you're going through... because I don't." - Piccolo interrupted any vitriolic argument about how Goku's crappy friends excluded Gohan from all social interactions, blaming him for the death of his great friend and the only link that kept the Z warriors together. - "Now come on, Gohan... where's that determination you had that made me change into someone better? The ability and responsibility to carry the weight of another reality on your back, where you not only allowed one of your great friends to return to his time, but also sacrificed years of your youth in the time room in order to train Mirai Trunks in the transformation of Super Saiyan 2?"

- "You still have that ability, guys like you don't lose it." - Piccolo explained now turning to how Gohan a year after Mirai Trunks' departure was stopping training and weakening because of the opinion of the other Z warriors, and his mother's orders to study and create a life. - "You have potential, don't allow yourself to fall into a sedentary state and delude yourself that you should only focus on your studies... your father chose to stay on the other plane believing that threats would stay away, but that's far from the truth and you can bet that soon a new enemy will emerge."

- "Early tomorrow morning, I'll leave for the time room with the aim of improving myself beyond the potential you've shown in your Super Saiyan 2... and I want you to be the one to train me this time." - Piccolo surprised Gohan with such a request, an act shown in his gaze, but which he soon thought through.

- "I only trained Mirai Trunks because of the responsibility he has in a post-apocalyptic world. And it was training for the ki of a Super Saiyan, not a Namekuseijin." - Gohan tried to cut off this idea.

- "And what of it?... a coach is a coach. You're the best person I've ever seen train someone... it's in your blood and intellect." - Piccolo touched his shoulder and smiled, trying to cheer up his best friend.

- "You know I've always hated fighting." - Gohan muttered sullenly

- "Just come with me, try to turn something brutal and dangerous that you hate, into something that you come to admire... create your training methods using that genius mind you have and create a similarity that will keep you in shape in order to defend yourself in the future, along with keeping your academic and professional life on an even keel." - Piccolo smiled as he finally took off and pointed below. - "And your mother has already agreed with me, so... what do you say? Do you want to give up being a student and become a real master?"

With Gohan staring below, it was there that he saw Chichi and Bulma smiling at him in affirmation, hinting that they were well aware of what they had both been discussing until now.

Sighing with memories of the past, thoughts of even before Bojack's attack where Gohan found himself between two choices, quit his training and focus on his social life, or improve himself and make Piccolo his disciple, strengthening him so greatly that not even Vegeta at the time could achieve it.

Seeing that the room was in turmoil with the conversations of several students from the student council and a few select students chosen to join the group, Gohan finally chose to continue his persona as the master who trained Mirai Trunks and Piccolo, now guiding these children in something that would at least help them in their academic life:

- Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. - Gohan began with a serious look at Erasa, Sharpner and a few other students from other classes chosen by Videl and Rias, who fell silent and turned their attention to him. - This beautiful place will be where each of you will stop being the joke of your class and become adults next month. Due to some incidents in my routine, the training section will start every day at 05:00 in the morning. - Under automatic murmurs of denial, Gohan soon stopped walking around the place and raised his voice slightly in order. - Show up at 05:01!... and you'll be gone, with no chance of any help in getting your long-awaited paycheck.

- We're going to train in this room for three and a half hours a day, every day... I'll prepare the right breakfast to influence your minds to focus as much as you want and you'll dedicate the first break to coming back here, there'll be plenty of time to enjoy your second break and the rest of the evening with who knows what you decide to do. - Gohan explained as he sat down in the central chair at the large table. - Everything school-related will result in a focus of eleven total hours worked. God took Sunday off to rest... but we didn't, we don't have time and you'll be here again on Sunday at 5am.

- The next salary deposit is in less than a month... I want you to think about it. - Gohan explained as he pulled out his phone on which he had opened a message from the school board, to which they had transferred an extra salary bonus on the same day as the general payday. - You may not know... but the top five students usually receive a participation bonus at the end of payday, our focus here is to make each of you the best in your class, regardless of the lettering on it or on the crest of your uniforms.

- It's your choice... your parents knew what they were getting into when they signed the enrollment contract. - Gohan said when he felt his main cell phone vibrate, with Bulma's image appearing on it. - If you do the right thing, your relationship with your parents will never be the same again. - He finished as he indicated to Videl that he was going to step away to take the call.

- All right, let's start with introductions and an idea of what our book club provides, and for this first month we're only going to keep the most focused and integrated into the club... As you may know, my name is Satan Videl and I'm the principal's daughter. - She introduced herself while Gohan stood up and asked something that attracted some attention because of the name called out in the call:

- Bulma? - Gohan asked over the phone, looking a little conflicted at what he was hearing on the line. - So you watched it? Yeah... Bulma, I did... what the hell did you expect? - Gohan raised his voice slightly, almost exposing something he shouldn't in front of these people. - Look, how about a date? Come home for dinner, I'll prepare your favorite dish, we'll have some wine and we'll talk where I'll explain everything to you... and no, I'm not some fucking new Vegeta wanting total domination of the races. - He ended the call by sighing and lightly pressing the top of his nose to the center of his eyes in an attempt to calm himself down.

{ February 10 }

With only a few days of study, Gohan focused on making academic and well-prepared summaries to teach the whole group, where in a few days he could soon captivate the attention of many students, but in the midst of so many he finally sighed in resignation when he faced a trio of perverts who kept drying out the girls in the class, who strangely enough in Gohan's view were always following him around the school and helping him in everything he did, almost as if he were a teacher there and not a student.

Videl was explaining everything to Gohan, enjoying seeing how they made a good pair, where when he finally got tired of talking, she would take his side and vice versa, now being one of the moments when he closed his eyes to the trio, who again let out a few mysterious giggles that they really thought no one was listening to.

- Very well... - Gohan sighed, cutting off Videl, who then got up and walked around the room where each student was relaxing in their seats. - We're here to build a team, the sooner you understand that, the better your chances of staying in our group. The salary allowance that the school provides is a merit that the school management gives to the best students, but not if you keep thinking small and getting in the way of your classmates, not if you try to harm those who are really focused to make fun and waste our time. - Gohan said, looking seriously at the trio of students, who swallowed dryly at the emerald glow that the Saiyaman's previously dark eyes were now giving them.

The "Perverted Trio" is a trio made up of the three most perverted students at the academy who commit lewd acts with the female students. In addition to Hyoudou Issei, the other members are Matsuda and Motohama, who are first-year D students and the only members hand-picked by the student council president.

Gohan didn't know how someone like Rias had chosen these kids out of so many great potentials, but seeing how they didn't change even with the warnings and still made the girls uncomfortable, it was time to nip it in the bud:

- Today is Friday and someone has to leave. - Gohan announced, handing over their backpacks and pointing to the exit door.

- Not me, choose any of them. - Issei, a short brown-haired boy standing to the side, replied, pointing to the other students. - Choose anyone.

- You're my choice. I said we'd be a team... but did you become part of it? - Gohan asked in reference to how every student there, regardless of Elite or Abortion class, accepted each other and took an interest in the subject presented by Gohan and Videl.

- But I've beaten everyone in debates and club matters, coach. - Issei objected, with Gohan sharpening his gaze and indicating to Issei's two friends that the rejection suited them too.

- Me, me, me... you only care about yourself, you don't understand the concept of a team. - Gohan handed the boys their backpacks. - It may be cliché, but there's no "I" in teams and there won't be in this one... Now, out. - He finished in order, with the three of them running from the room.

- Let's get one thing straight here... don't make the mistake of thinking that I'm your friend, because I'm not. - Gohan announced to the whole class, watching Akeno leave the room in a corner, surely going to find Rias. - I'm here for one reason, to train you by whatever means I deem necessary and that's that, and you must already know the news so don't think that this is just theoretical studies, it's physical training too... your world now has a common enemy based on government speculation of your former hero's declaration of war, right now, in Korea, China, North America, South America, all over the world! - Gohan explained sternly. - They are studying and training to perfect themselves and defend themselves against this new global threat.

- That's why I'm preparing your minds and physical bodies to perfect themselves, so that when the magic classes begin, you'll be prepared to withstand the use of this energy and stand above the rest.

[ ... ]

- So you cut off one of the smartest students, along with his friends. - Rias asked in order about how Gohan expelled the trio she had chosen, causing Saiyaman to sharpen his brow.

- You're wrong... I chose the best for the club, no matter who I chose. - Gohan began with Videl staring at him in the background, where he had said from the start that he sensed something wrong coming from those two on the student council. - Furthermore. - His voice rose slightly as the air seemed to become heavy. - Since when do I owe you any satisfaction... you may be president of the student council and have allowed this club to be created, but don't fool yourself at any time that you have any power over my choices of who stays in the group or what we instruct here. - The Saiyaman finished as he turned his back on the redhead, making it clear that so far he had only been polite to her, not submissive to her demands like everyone else in the world seemed to worship the ground she walked on.

Perhaps if it had been before this month he wouldn't have been so direct with her and cut the discussion short. But in the midst of so much discussion between the Z warriors about how Gohan was acting as a villain and Videl asking how he knew how to fly, he had an extremely short fuse for any silly arguments and the inflated ego of some spoiled teenager.

{ February 11 }

- It's very simple. - Gohan announced that as soon as everyone had arrived and eaten, the real physical training began, followed by theoretical lectures on the subject they would be studying in class that day. - If they don't make the top five in their classes, they won't have a chance of receiving their salary bonus, which is nothing more than their total salary doubled and deposited in their bank accounts at the end of the first day of each month.

- In three weeks' time, we'll have the closing of grades, participation in debates and class attendance. - Videl explained as he walked around the other side of the room, smiling at how Gohan made everyone submit and focus on the book club.

- As you've already seen, there's no such thing as me in a team. This word "I" is forbidden and from now on it is eliminated from our vocabulary. - Gohan explained, watching everyone do push-ups. - Whenever the word "I" comes out of your mouths, the whole club will do a hundred push-ups. - He continued to explain, watching as everyone seemed to get upset about the punishment, barely noticing how they had already surpassed the number of push-ups they did on the first day of the club. - Either you become "us", or we don't stand a chance.

{ February 20 }

- The truth is that the only permanent thing in the universe is change. Instead of complaining that they're tired, they should question whether they're dedicating themselves enough and improving themselves beyond that. - Gohan tried to motivate everyone who was worried this morning when they received the news that their greatest hero had attacked the United Nations and totally disarmed the world's greatest powers, thus declaring the start of a war against humanity. - If we walk, talk, eat, drink and think like champions, we will be unbeatable. We are humanity, it doesn't matter that the Great Saiyaman has turned the tables and become a villain, it's humanity he's up against and together we can take anyone down.

- Well done, you're getting better. I can see progress. - Gohan smiled when Sharpner, who was the strongest in the club, collapsed in exhaustion after forty minutes of training and everyone seemed to want to follow his level of physical training.

- I think they liked you motivating them. - Videl commented amiably to Gohan, seeing that each of them had already passed the two hundred push-up mark and were managing to have a friendly and intelligent debate every morning on the world, political or religious issues discussed in class.

{ February 23rd }

- It's hard to want to go out in the street with such a big threat, isn't it? - Gohan asked as another day began at the club, in less than a month all the world powers had surrendered their war and nuclear weapons, as all firearms seemed to be destroyed overnight and the major countries announced that they were creating a worldwide tactical organization with members from every part of the country, in order to study the new enemy. - I could lie and say that life is going to be easy from now on, but no... the truth is that humanity has angered the only person powerful enough to crush them... but ladies and gentlemen, none of that matters to us.

- This situation we're in will be overcome... so let's just worry about studies, training, leisure, friendship and relationships... leave the war to your leaders. - Gohan laughed with Videl. - And if the Golden Warrior happens to land in this country, we'll beat him out of here. - He continued, with all the club members now laughing at the joke, finishing their breakfast a little more motivated.

[ ... ]

{ February 28 }

- You've all heard me tell you a million times this month to change the way you think. - Gohan said at the end of the break and the last day of the month when they studied and did their final activities to see what the result would be at the start of classes the following day. - Changing your way of acting, and in the midst of so much political, religious or military chaos... I'm pleased to see how you've stood firm without letting yourselves be shaken by the pressure against society... and look out, the world seems to think so too... the Magna Carta treaty announced this morning in the world's newspapers is the biggest world alliance since the dawn of time, big countries protecting smaller ones, free exchange of information and supplies to keep everyone healthy, the whole world is joining together against a common threat, hardly noticing how it has wiped out all hunger, misery, crime and inequality in a single month. - He showed the impressions of how every aspect he said was on a healthy high that they had never seen before in history. - It's not the end of anything, it's just the beginning for us.

- What do you mean? - One of the students asked.

- Are you still with us next month, Coach? - Erasa asked anxiously.

- Are you kidding? - Gohan laughed. - Do you really think I'm going to give up on you when you've only learned to debate political issues and do push-ups? It's now that the real training begins and I feel you're ready to develop an art a little superior to what you call magic? - Gohan said mysteriously as he extended his palm upwards and there a static noise began to carry. - Let's leave the toys for the children's club outside and focus on what really is the KI present in every human being and living organism in the universe. - He finished with a sphere of energy becoming visible and charging in the palm of his hand.

And with that I end the sixth chapter of Mystical Saiyan.

I hope you've enjoyed how I'm approaching the fact that Gohan is seen as a villain. I'm not going to focus too much on mentioning the changes in humanity, so I've tried in this chapter to give a summary of what I'm leading up to, whether it's humanity coming together against him and in the process evolving on its own.

The next chapter will finally see the start of magic lessons (KI diluted in humans), and Gohan being trained in the true use of magic, which is the powerful and explosive KI available to anyone with the willpower to train and break through human limits never seen before.

Seriously, did you really think I was going to make Gohan focus on magic? People, magic is a shortcut that humans have had to use ki, when strong people who reach human limits are able to exploit ki, but in order not to discard magic, it will be something that Gohan will learn and exploit to use against humans and even enhance elemental techniques to atomic levels like that of a Kamehameha.

In other words... there's a lot of ground to cover, so I hope you'll keep following and don't forget to give us your support in the comments. XD
