The Most Satisfied Reincarnate

Chapter 102: Academy Prepare(2)

As the colossal shadow dragon's immense maw made contact with the two elemental dragons, a sudden eruption of radiant light burst forth, engulfing the entire chamber in a dazzling spectacle.

*Thrum* *Thrum*

Within the jaws of the shadow dragon, however, was not what it expected. Instead of a satisfying meal, it found itself struggling to swallow an enormous egg that had materialized before it, defying the confines of its mouth.

*Thrum*

Undeterred, the shadow dragon relentlessly gnawed at the colossal egg before it. Even though they were ethereal manifestations of energy, their attacks could still have tangible effects.

*Crack*

With the forceful impact of the shadow dragon's tooth, a hairline fracture spiderwebbed across the surface of the giant egg.

*Crack* *Crack*

Another crack formed in a region devoid of teeth, a clear indication that the egg was about to hatch.

*Blast*

Desmond experienced an uncanny sense of deja vu as he witnessed this unfolding spectacle. It mirrored the very scenario he had envisioned. The explosive release of energy from the shattered egg sent the shadow dragon stumbling backward, though it possessed no consciousness to comprehend the events that transpired.

*Roar* *Roar*

Amidst the remnants of the eggshell, the resounding echoes of two mighty dragon roars reverberated. As the residual dust settled, a wondrous sight came into view—a dragon with two heads, standing upright on its hind legs with a pair of separate tails extending in opposite directions.

This magnificent creature seemed to embody the fusion of the two dragons that had come before, with their individual forms now seamlessly melded together.

On the left side, a form dominated by the swirling essence of wind emerged, accompanied by the majestic head of a wind dragon. On the right, a body radiating fiery energy and perpetual sparks, with the fierce countenance of a fire dragon.

The size of this extraordinary dragon was on par with both the colossal Black Dragon and the imposing shadow dragon that loomed before it.

*Crash*

Having completed its transformation, the two-headed dragon seized the shadow dragon's head directly before it.

*Swoosh*

In an instant, torrents of elemental power erupted from the twin-headed dragon's maws. The combined forces of wind and fire surged forth simultaneously, causing the flames to intensify dramatically. No longer limited to scorching only the front, the inferno now engulfed the entirety of the shadow dragon's head, consuming it in a blaze of searing heat and roaring winds.

*cries*

The shadow of the dragon head let out a mournful roar, trapped in the unyielding grip of the colossal dragon before it.

...

Meanwhile, Desmond, seated on the floor, wore a smug smile as he observed the unfolding spectacle. "Well played, but it's not enough..." His eyes narrowed as he noticed a looming figure advancing toward his two-headed dragon.

*Roar*

Abruptly, a black dragon materialized behind the shadowy dragon head, its maw gaping wide towards the Two-Headed Dragon. In response, one of the heads of Desmond's creation swiveled around, unleashing a powerful burst of elemental fury at the sudden intruder.

*Swish* *Crack* *Crack*

An icy blast surged forth from the Black Dragon's mouth, clashing vehemently with the fiery torrent emitted by the Two-Headed Dragon. Initially, the two forces appeared evenly matched, with the flames melting the ice while the ice attempted to quell the raging fire.

However, as time wore on, the torrent from the Black Dragon gradually gained the upper hand, inching closer until it reached the very maw of the Two-Headed Dragon. It was at this juncture that the disparity between a mere figment of imagination and a genuine dragon became glaringly evident.

In an instant, ice encased every part of Desmond's Two-Headed Dragon, rendering it motionless, while the Black Dragon employed its formidable tail to shatter the frozen creature.

*Roar* The Black Dragon bellowed, its gaze fixated on Desmond's previous location, only for its roar to dissipate as it realized the human was no longer there.

*Clank* Glancing downwards, the black dragon discovered its own hand instinctively intercepting the strike of an iron sword aimed directly at its heart.

*Groan* The Black Dragon emitted a deep groan, beholding Desmond, who had seemingly vanished earlier, now standing before it, clutching an iron sword.

Swiftly, Desmond discarded the sword, fully aware that a mere blade would never penetrate the dragon's impenetrable scales. But what about a thousand swords?

*Clank*... *Clank*...

Without delay, Desmond began an incantation after discarding the sword, and a barrage of iron elemental blades rained down upon the same set of scales.

*Groan* The Black Dragon groaned, almost amused by Desmond's futile efforts. Though the assault had no impact on its robust physique, the dragon refused to remain stationary like a slaughtered pig.

*Gasping* The Black Dragon parted its jaws, gathering natural energy, and Desmond's mind brimmed with satisfaction. This was the perfect opportunity.

*Swish* A gargantuan sword, composed entirely of iron elements, materialized in Desmond's grasp, impaling itself directly into the waiting maw of the Black Dragon.

*Roar* The Black Dragon unleashed a furious cry of agony as it was forcefully propelled backward, its gaze fixed upon Desmond with a seething, murderous intensity. It had not anticipated such a cunning ploy from its adversary.

In that moment, the Black Dragon caught sight of a pair of shadowy figures hurtling toward it. Meanwhile, Desmond continued his incantation, conjuring forth several additional massive swords.

*Swish* *Swish*

Controlling the colossal blades suspended in mid-air, Desmond directed them to assail the Black Dragon directly. Blood trickled from his nose as he forged and manipulated these colossal weapons.

*Roar* The Black Dragon spiraled into a state of uncontrollable rage at the sight. The sword lodged within its maw was dislodged, its tip stained with traces of dragon blood. Simultaneously, every scale on the Black Dragon's body seemed to stir with life.

*Clatter* *Clatter* *Clatter*

The scales shifted akin to gears in a vast machine, detaching themselves from the Black Dragon's form. Fresh scales sprouted forth from each dislodged scale, their motion resembling magnets drawing them toward specific destinations. With each arrival, the old scales melded with the new, forming a protective layer that now adorned the Black Dragon's body.

The newly added scales assumed the appearance of intricate dragon armor. A helmet-like structure formed on its head, enshrouding the Black Dragon's visage, leaving only a broad field of vision exposed. At its shoulders, artificial horns materialized, further accentuating its terrifying countenance.

Transformations also occurred along the length of its tail, now adorned with numerous small, needle-like protrusions.

Desmond had harbored suspicions regarding the Black Dragon's shedding of its old scales. Sensing an opportunity, he began an incantation, summoning a small iron pillar aimed directly at the dragon's eyes.

*Clank*

Desmond's apprehension grew as he witnessed the dragon's old scales abruptly shielding its eyes from the oncoming assault. He attempted to accelerate the speed of his colossal sword, but the dragon's transformation outpaced his expectations.

"Liar! I have never witnessed a dragon undergo such a metamorphosis! Damn humans! Damn the author!" Desmond muttered, his belief in dragons depicted in books crumbling entirely.

*Groan*

Though the dragon refrained from roaring, its anguished groans only served to intensify Desmond's sense of unease, deepening the uncertainty that gnawed at his heart.

*Crash*

*Crash*

Desmond's colossal swords met an abrupt demise as the dragon's tail mercilessly shattered them. Frustration surged within him, and he couldn't help but unleash a vehement expletive at the black dragon. "Fuck! That's cheating!"

Blood streamed from his head, the toll exacted for expending such a tremendous amount of energy.

[Negative Energy Expelled]

Desmond froze as a translucent screen materialized before him. "Negative expelled? Since when?" he pondered. Behind the ethereal screen, the black dragon, poised to resume its attack on Desmond, gradually began to fade away.

"I see... thanks to the system, I reached my limit..." Desmond's body slumped backward, no longer concerned with the dragon's presence. He slowly closed his eyes.

Within the confines of the ritual chamber, Desmond reopened his eyes, finding himself in a familiar space. "Huff, it's so exhausting..." Attempting to rise to his feet, he cast a glance at his right hand. "Sigh, it was all just a dream..."

A sense of disappointment flickered in his eyes as he realized his right hand had not undergone any growth. Desmond surveyed his surroundings, noticing that the chamber's walls appeared strangely brittle. "What has happened? It was not like this before..."

His gaze drifted downward, and he discovered the pentagram still intact. "Fortunately, it's still—" His words halted midway as Desmond suddenly experienced a searing sensation deep within his body. "ARGHHHH!" he bellowed in agony.

He felt his blood surge, his entire being growing feverish as perspiration dripped down his flushed complexion, veins pulsating visibly.

Desmond gritted his teeth, demanding answers. "What the fuck... system!"

[System conclusion: Congratulations to the host for successfully confronting the latent animosity residing within every material. Now the host must endure this pain and allow the blood to repair the host's body.]

Desmond emitted a strained groan, his body still aflame with the pulsating veins of agony.
