The Kodak Theatre was lit up by thousands of lights, with the grand figure of Oscar standing at the end of the red carpet. One after another, glamorous stars stepped onto the carpet, capturing the attention of countless onlookers. On this special night, stars and movies were the protagonists of America. Every little movement on the Oscars' red carpet could be the subject of discussion for an entire year.

On the Oscars red carpet, the most attention usually goes to the favorites for the awards and the trending stars.

So, when Matthew walked down the red carpet hand in hand with Charlize Theron, they immediately caught the attention of all media present.

Instantly, the two became the absolute center of attention on the Oscars red carpet.

"Are they really together?"

"My God, they are such a perfect match."

These murmurs rose among the photographers.

The flash of cameras blanketed Matthew and Charlize, making it almost impossible to keep one's eyes open.

Under the relentless spotlight and countless gazes, Matthew led Charlize up the red carpet.

"Slow down!" Matthew, noticing they were moving too quickly, pulled Charlize back slightly. "There's no rush."

Charlize cooperated fully, immediately slowing her pace and frequently waving to both sides of the red carpet.

With a promotional duty to fulfill, Matthew naturally extended their time on the red carpet as long as reasonably possible.

Charlize leaned close to Matthew and whispered, "I've been feeling awful lately!"

Matthew turned to her with a look of deep affection, "Sally, how could I have touched your heart if I hadn't done something special?"

Charlize didn't reply, simply holding Matthew's hand as they continued forward.

Their walk down the red carpet was indeed slow. By the time they reached the media area, Salma Hayek was just thirty feet behind them.

Once in the interview area, Matthew and Charlize stood in front of the reporters and cameras, displaying their affection.

Meanwhile, the internet live feed of the Oscars ceremony heated up with discussion.

"The coolest couple is finally together!"

"Matthew is so much better than that other guy—what's his name—the one from before!"

"Charlize Theron has finally found the right man."

"Best wishes to Matthew Horner and Charlize Theron."

Since the video of Matthew's heroic rescue of Charlize from last year was still fresh, there was hardly any backlash against their union—most people thought they were meant to be together.

In the interview zone, Matthew and Charlize stood before the ABC News cameras.

"Matthew," the female reporter asked curiously, "what is your relationship with Miss Theron now?"

Matthew looked affectionately at Charlize and smiled, "Sally is my girlfriend."

The reporter then turned the microphone to Charlize, "Miss Theron, were you moved by Matthew's grand gestures?"

"There was some of that," Charlize responded more reservedly. "Matthew and I have known each other for years, we understand each other well, and after spending time together in Munich, I realized he's the one I need, so I accepted his pursuit."

Then the ABC reporter posed a rather spoiling question, "Matthew, last year you rescued Miss Theron from domestic violence at the hands of Stuart Townsend. What do you think about her relationship with Mr. Townsend?"

At this question, Charlize's expression soured. Matthew gently squeezed her hand, a signal understood by Charlize who held her silence.

Matthew responded openly, "Sally is my goddess, the perfect woman in my eyes." He turned to Charlize, "Every girl might meet a few frogs before finding her prince."

Charlize's mood improved with this comment. Compared to Stuart Townsend, the 'frog', Matthew truly seemed like a prince.

Matthew leaned in and kissed Charlize on the lips, and she, playing along, wrapped her arms around his neck. Both appeared blissfully sweet in their display of love.

After the interview, Matthew and Charlize entered the Kodak Theatre together. Since they were among the last to walk the red carpet, they bypassed the VIP lounge and went straight to the main hall.

Both were presenters and had seats close to the stage. Settling in, Charlize, who had maintained a regal demeanor on the red carpet, relaxed. She greeted Antonio Banderas to her right before turning back to Matthew and whispered, "Was everything you said just now true?"

Matthew replied softly but seriously, "Sally, every word I've told you is true." He placed his hand on his chest. "Can't you feel my sincerity?"

Charlize hesitated, then said, "You're a great friend, but perhaps not the right lover."

Matthew smiled and kissed her hand, "I'll prove it to you."

Charlize looked at him doubtfully and fell silent.

Initially, she thought Matthew was joking when he said he wanted to truly pursue her. But

since Munich, she started to realize he might be serious...

Was transitioning from friends to lovers the right move?

The sound of music interrupted her thoughts as the Oscars ceremony began. Chris Rock, the host and comedian, took the stage to start the show.

Matthew was soon called backstage to present the Best Picture nominee "Finding Neverland." His opportunity to present was partly thanks to the efforts of Peak Entertainment and also due to his relationship with Johnny Depp.

"Finding Neverland," starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, was a biographical film tailored by the Weinstein brothers of Miramax for Oscar recognition.

After rehearsing a week earlier, Matthew was well-prepared. When it was his turn, he took the stage confidently.

The script was carefully crafted by the organizers. Matthew read directly from it, "The film tells the story of James Barrie in early 20th century London, who, inspired by four fatherless children, wrote a children's book about a boy who never wanted to grow up, creating the now-iconic Peter Pan..."

After introducing the film, Matthew exited the stage, completing his first appearance at the Oscars.

On the red carpet, he and Charlize had stolen the show, but tonight, the real stars were the Oscar winners.

"Million Dollar Baby," directed by Clint Eastwood, was the night's biggest winner, claiming four awards, including Best Picture. "The Aviator" won five awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Cate Blanchett. Jamie Foxx won Best Actor for "Ray," becoming another African American to claim the title.

In the Best Director category, Martin Scorsese went home empty-handed again, while Clint Eastwood took the prize for "Million Dollar Baby."

The biggest disappointments of the evening were undoubtedly Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, both of whom left without the awards they were contending for.

After the ceremony, many stars headed to the 'Oscars Night' party. However, a significant number of reporters shifted their focus to Matthew and Charlize, capturing their entrance into a hotel together...
