Chapter 56: y
Ergou looked at Liyun to get new orders from him as to what he should do now.
"We wait; he'll be done in a few minutes. That's how this works for some reason; they always do things fast."
Liyun simply shrugged, his expression calm as still water. Then, with hands clasped behind his back, he floated out of the room. Ergou followed, his armor clinking softly with every step. The night was quiet, the moon hanging high like a silver lantern of the heavens, bathing the courtyard in soft spiritual light.
Ergou looked at Liyun from behind, and he looked like a tiny Sage cultivator, master of everything.
'Nice, the system reset is almost here, hehe, maybe I can pee on that villain to get a better reward.'
Liyun was thinking about the time. The system reset at twelve every night, but in the cultivation world the moon was the only clock, so he had no choice but to depend on it.
"Oh! Look at him, the prodigal son returns."
Liyun and Ergou looked back at the same time as Luo Tian opened his eyes; his eyes had a golden-colored lightning qi.
"Thank you, Prince. May I ask, where did you learn I am the Ancestor of Humanity?"
Luo Tian asked; he was not humble at all in his questioning manner. He was wearing new cultivation clothes and also placed the Titanium-grade sword behind his back and got ready in front of Liyun and Ergou.
"Hmm, I will answer you next time we meet. Now, as I asked you, go kill that bastard and also try to injure his protector, then go far away; otherwise, people will kill you. The Luo family won't be supporting the sane you right now."
Liyun said in a calm tone. Luo Tian, however, was calmer, as if everything was in his control. He draped over a blue coat and smiled at Liyun and waited for his question to be answered.
Liyun smiled; he knew protagonists were annoying, but he didn't know they could be this level of annoying. Liyun looked at his palm. After getting the title reward from the system, his left palm had a small 'Human' written on it, and his right hand had 'Emperor' on it. The seal could vanish whenever he wished through his spiritual sense command.
Liyun just showed Luo Tian his tiny little palms. Where this appeared, he didn't know what those were, but he was certain it was related to the Primordial Human Ancestor title he had gotten.
Luo Tian's eyes almost bulged as he saw the seal of the Ancestor of Humanity in Liyun's hand.
"So that's why."
Luo Tian sighed, then showed his palm to Liyun as well; his left palm had 'Human' and his right one had 'King' written on it.
"How can there be more than one ancestor of humanity?"
'Wait, his one is a bit different.'
Luo Tian asked; he was now very comfortable with Liyun because they were in the same righteous team.
"Well, I am not the Ancestor per se."
"I am kind of your dad."
Liyun replied. Luo Tian, hearing this, was so shocked that it was unbelievable, then he realized it could be true because he had the 'Human King' seal on his hand, while Liyun had the 'Human Emperor' seal.
"Go, don't waste time. You've already wasted enough."
Liyun said, flicking his robe with a wave of majestic aura. Luo Tian wanted to say more, but as soon as he felt the vast Qi pressure spreading from the tiny prince, he gritted his teeth, cupped his fists, and leaped out of the courtyard in one smooth motion.
"Hehe, the fun begins, Ergou. Slap me hard."
Liyun said with a huge grin on his face, "Ergou was astonished, first because the master he serves is the Light of All Humans' father, and then he asked him to slap him?"
"Do it, idiot."
Liyun said with urgency. Ergou nodded his head; he doesn't know what his master has planned, but if his hesitation makes everything fall apart, that would be bad.
Thaaap
BOOM
The sound cracked through the air like thunder. Liyun's small body shot backward, smashing into the courtyard wall, dust swirling everywhere.
Ergou's face turned pale as he rushed forward, brushing off the debris. But the sight that greeted him almost made him laugh—tiny Liyun floated up from the rubble, his cheek glowing a bright pink.
Liyun twisted his neck with a small crack, hovering in the air. In the shattered mirror nearby, his swollen cheek looked perfectly pitiful.
"Perfect, let's go."
Liyun said, then flew out of the courtyard and went toward the banquet hall, where the wedding was taking place.
————————————————————————————————————
Luo Tian was seated on a roof and was seeing the banquet happening in the pavilion. Wang Mu was running everywhere with a servant who was serving wine as he went to different tables to toast.
Ximen was looking at Li Mei with a smile, but Li Mei was just plain ignoring him. He even tried to flirt with different girls behind her, but a white armored guard stepped up and placed himself before them.
'That bastard is lecherous. I don't know what that baby's deal is; I can figure it out later. Let's kill this bastard first.
Luo Tian jumped while brandishing his titanium-grade sword; he was confident in killing the bastard True Disciple because he didn't see the Nascent Soul protector.
Luo Tian descended from the roof like a streak of light, his titanium-grade sword already drawn. The blade screamed through the air as he slashed toward Ximen.
A sudden golden flare erupted—clang!—a huge bell-shaped halo burst from Ximen's body, stopping the blow in mid-swing. The protective talisman rang out, its sound shaking the pavilion.
The impact hurled Luo Tian backward; he crashed through two tables, dishes and spirit wine exploding into the air. Guests screamed as stew, meat, and wine rained down, staining robes and silks.
Through the chaos, three white-armored Nascent Soul guards moved at once. They didn't care about the wreckage or the guests—they simply stepped before Li Mei, forming a calm wall of Qi. Their faces stayed expressionless, their auras heavy enough to silence even the music.
Li Mei only brushed a drop of wine from her sleeve, eyes still fixed somewhere far away, as if nothing around her mattered.
Across the ruined tables, Luo Tian rose, sword buzzing with rage, the golden bell between him and Ximen pulsing like a heart that refused to break.
"Aren't you that retard?! How dare you?!"
Ximen yelled at the top of his lungs, kicking the table in front of him. The golden bell halo surrounding him flickered—cracked right where Luo Tian's sword had landed.
'This! Hah, two more strikes and it'll shatter.'
Luo Tian thought, his eyes cold and focused. He was always a man who calculated before he moved. His gaze swept the pavilion—several Luo Clan elders, each at the Peak of the Foundation Building Realm, stood nearby, yet not one stepped forward to help the so-called True Disciple. That gave him some reassurance. But then, his expression darkened. Wang Mu was nowhere to be seen.
'No matter. He's just a Peak Foundation building—he can do nothing to me.'
Luo Tian steadied his breath, spiritual light flickering around his sword. His Qi surged, and his aura climbed sharply, shaking the broken tables around him.
He prepared for a second strike; the ground beneath his feet cracked from the pressure. As a mid-stage Golden Core Realm cultivator, he was confident—this brat would die here today.
Luo Tian, as a past-life ancestor of humanity, knew exactly how to utilize every ounce of his Golden Core realm Qi. He focused it using the sword; his new plan was to obliterate the Golden Halo bell talisman that was protecting Ximen.
"Damn! You—how dare you? Do you even know who I am?"
Ximen yelled; he was a bit nervous because he is in the Peak Stage Foundation Building realm, whereas this retard was a golden core realm cultivator. He was outmatched.
Luo Tian raised his sword, Golden Core Qi roaring like a storm. The blade pulsed with light as he gathered every shred of power into one ruthless swing.
BOOM!
The golden bell-shaped halo shattered, its fragments scattering like molten stars before fading into dust. The force sent shockwaves through the pavilion.
Ximen stumbled backward, blood gushing from his mouth. His Qi veins trembled violently, his aura collapsing as he barely stayed standing.
"You—! "You dare?!" he screamed, voice cracking between rage and fear. "Do you even know who I am?! I'm the True Disciple of the Sword Mountain Sect! The young master of the Wang family! You're finished—your whole clan is finished!"
Luo Tian didn't flinch. His sword leveled at Ximen's throat, his voice cold and calm.
"You talk too much."
Luo Tian lifted his sword once more, Golden Core Qi spiraling around him like a storm ready to devour everything. The shattered remains of the talisman still glimmered faintly beneath his feet as he swung down, aiming to end Ximen's life.
A streak of blue light flashed—
CLANG!
The collision shook the entire pavilion. Sparks flew as Luo Tian's titanium-grade sword met another blade—the strike was caught just inches from Ximen's neck.
An old man stood between them, his blue robe fluttering from the shockwave, his expression grim. A long sword gleamed in his hands, its surface engraved with ancient marks of the Sword Mountain Sect.
It was Elder Chen Tao, a Peak Nascent Soul Realm cultivator.
The ground cracked under his feet as he absorbed the impact, but even then, he staggered back three full steps, his arms trembling from the sheer force.
Cold sweat ran down his back. Against an ordinary Golden Core, he could crush with a flick of his wrist—yet this strike from Luo Tian carried something deeper, something far beyond a normal cultivator's control.
"You—a mere ant—dare to strike a true disciple in front of this elder?!" Chen Tao shouted, his voice echoing
