Chapter 111: Rentes City Again
"Master, I'm grateful for everything..." Heinald bowed.
Albin looked at his apprentice with a slight smile. He knew that he would become a great Potions Grandmaster in the future. After many years with him, he had become quite accustomed to working with him. Therefore, although there was some sadness in him, he did not intend to prevent him from advancing on the Path of Ainsar.
"You have accomplished everything by your own effort and talent. I know that you will have an unlimited future ahead. I hope you progress smoothly on the Path of Ainsar and succeed in becoming a supreme sage." Albin sighed and continued, "Even though your apprenticeship is over, if you ever come to this kingdom, be sure to be my guest."
"I'll visit you when I have the chance, master!" Heinald bowed once more.
After saying goodbye to his master, Heinald left Saylam City and traveled to the plains outside the city. He would soon see his baby, whom he had not seen for a long time.
A small black dot appeared in the sky. This point was getting bigger and bigger, and soon it became a gigantic figure.
This huge figure was a black dragon. As it approached the ground, a small whirlwind swept around, each flapping of its wings creating a very strong wind.
"You absolutely must be the biggest baby, Revakender!" Heinald grinned and went to stroke the dragon's nose.
Although this dragon was huge in size, it was still considered a baby. Considering the dragons' lifespans, this baby dragon had many more years to experience.
His physical strength already exceeded that of a Level 2 Ainsar. Although its Magic Energy is much less than a Level 2 Ainsar, it would be foolish not to foresee that its Magic Energy would increase soon as well.
Like every Magical Beast, this baby dragon had an element to which he was prone. This element was naturally fire.
Over the years, this baby dragon would be experienced in the fire element and its laws.
Heinald knew this too, and hoped he could learn a few things from it.
Heinald jumped on its back and said, "Time to go!"
The Revakender flapped its wings, and fierce winds appeared in an area hundreds of meters in diameter.
Heinald and Revakender's destination would be the Rentes City of Risingmoon Kindom. He had been there a long time ago and had experienced many things.
His adventure there had never ended the way he wanted, he would definitely fix that.
If that man named Hamra hadn't thrown him off the cliff, Heinald wouldn't have cared about him and his organization.
However, the actions of Hamra and that evil woman Yatenna had angered him. He had long wanted to take revenge on them.
Heinald naturally did not know where they were. Last time, he played a big role in preventing the raid they were going to make on the Estrus Family, thanks to the intelligence he got.
The Bloody Teeth organization had an intelligence-gathering technique and it was disrupted by his intervention. No member of the organization should be able to obtain intelligence from the inns anymore.
Actually, Heinald was quite curious about what was going on. Therefore, the first thing he would do was visit the Esrus Family, that he had good relations.
His travel took a long time as his location was so far from the Risingmoon Kingdom. He had not calculated how long he had traveled, but he knew it was more than a month.
Moreover, he made this journey by flying!
When he finally entered the borders of the Risingmoon Kingdom, he began to feel the familiar energy around him.
When the relatives of Heinald Rentes City arrived, he released Revakender to go wherever it wanted. They would never allow a dragon to enter the city.
When Heinald entered Rentes City, he experienced great nostalgia. Walking slowly through the streets, he remembered when he first came to this city, back then he had just become a new Level 1 Ainsar, and this city was one of the first cities he saw.
Noticing the energy emanating from him on the way, everyone greeted him and bowed their heads. A Level 2 Ainsar roaming the city streets would rarely appear. Usually Apprentice Ainsars and Level 1 Ainsars were seen on the streets.
Heinald immediately traveled to Estrus Mansion. When he arrived in front of the mansion, he did not see any of the guards he had seen before.
"My lord…" The guards waiting outside the gate were the Apprentice Ainsars. Naturally, they were shocked when they saw a Level 2 Ainsar in front of them.
One of them rushed inside to give the news.
"Heinald?"
Soon after, Hulan came to the door. He was also a Level 2 Ainsar. He had a look of shock on his face because as he remembered, Heinald was a Level 1 Ainsar.
"Did he manage to become a Level 2 Ainsar in such a short amount of time?" Hulan cried out in surprise.
"Greetings!" Heinald smiled faintly and gave a nod.
"Congratulations on your breakthrough!" Hulan smiled crookedly.
"Thanks!"
"Oh! Please come in..." Hulan invited him to the mansion.
Heinald remembered the night of the raid as he walked through the large garden of his mansion. They had also commanded various Magical Beasts that night. He was very curious about the mysterious technique behind it.
"I came here today to ask you some questions…" Heinald looked directly into Hulan's eyes as he sat on the comfortable chair in the great hall.
"About what?" Hulan asked.
"About Bloody Teeth." A hardness appeared in Heinald's gaze.
"Bloody Teeth…" Hulan grit his teeth. He was after that organization for a long time, but they hid their tracks very well. They were much less active than in old times, sometimes they had been inactive for several years.
Heinald said, "The reason I came back to this city is for personal revenge."
"Revenge? Have you had any interaction with them?" Hulan asked.
Heinald sighed, "Is Lady Yetenna, the city's head of security, still on duty?"
Hulan nodded.
Heinald said, "He's partnered with the leader of the organization, Hamra!"
"What!?" Hulan stoop up, "What are you saying?"
"I'm serious... They trapped me for exposing their plan and paralyzed me and threw me off a cliff."
Heinald's expression darkened.
"This…" Hulan didn't know what to say.
Many thoughts were running through his mind. If Yetenna was indeed a traitor, that would explain why Hamra was never caught. But he didn't want to believe it, he couldn't understand how such a thing could happen.
"I will ask you not to tell anyone this secret that I have told you for now. If this situation arises, they will surely flee and we will never find them again." Heinald gave him a serious look.
"Certainly." Hulan nodded.
"Any intelligence about them?" Heinald asked.
"No." Hulan shook his head, "They hide themselves very well and have not been very active since they raided us. Their attacks with low density are usually in independent places, in independent times."
"As I predicted! I've dealt a major blow to their intelligence system. Now that they can't get intelligence comfortably, they're not as comfortable with attacking as they used to be." Heinald evaluated the situation internally.
Last time he had made a great fool of himself and told Yetenna about the innkeeper.
Yetenna must have told Hamra this for sure, so that they too changed their order. Since they knew that the innkeeper's soul was in his hands, they must have taken precautions against the members the innkeeper knew.
After a while, Heinald left with a somber expression on his face. The fact that even the Estrus Family had not been able to obtain any intelligence about them was proof that they were well concealed.
Under normal circumstances, he could gain some things after observing Yetenna for a while, but he had to be very careful. If they noticed him, he would definitely not be able to take revenge, even his life would be in danger.
He would never let this happen again!
At night, he began to observe the security building where Yetenna was located from a distance and from a secret location. Fortunately, his eyes could see very clearly even at night.
When Yetenna left the building, she got into a very luxurious-looking carriage and left the front of the building with an army of guards behind her.
Heinald had concealed the waves of energy he was emitting from the very beginning, he used Shadow Powder and began to hide himself in the shadows.
He followed the carriage which Yetenna was in, from a safe distance into the shadows.
When he came to the mansion where she lived, there was a sharp look in his eyes. No matter how long it took, he would wait for her to open, and if he saw her going somewhere alone, he would follow her.
If he could find out where Hamra lives or the location of the organization's new headquarters, everything would be much easier for him.
Heinald observed him for weeks.
Even in the daytime, he had no problems, as he could clearly observe his mansion from far away.
One day he noticed a shadow jumped out from the back of the mansion. He immediately concealed himself and followed that shadow.
It was obvious that this shadow had at least the physique of a Level 2 Ainsar because it was moving so fast, that if Heinald was still a Level 1 Ainsar, he would definitely not be able to catch this shadow. However, he was a Level 2 Ainsar and could easily follow the shadow from a safe distance.
This shadow was naturally Yetenna, and she finally took action.
Heinald didn't know whether she was going to participate in a raid or to an organization meeting. She quickly climbed the city walls with ease, using the darkness of the night.
"Naturally, she she does n't want to use the city gate…" Heinald agreed.
He sped up so as not to miss the sight of Yetenna, and climbed the walls right after her.
He followed her outside the walls for hours. They had moved forward nonstop for hours on the wide plain north of Rentes City, until they finally came to an area with a lot of cliffs and rough ground.
As Yetenna approached a large tree in the cliff area, a passage appeared in the trunk of the tree, and after she entered, the passage closed.
"It must be some kind of camouflage formation…" Heinald squinted his eyes.
Confident as the darkness of that night wrapped him, he began to observe the place where the passage was.
About an hour later, Yetenna and a few others left. They completely concealed their faces and bodies. Therefore, none of them were identified.
"If this is their new headquarters, they're pretty sure of themselves. This isn't far from the city..." Heinald muttered.
Actually, he wasn't sure that this was their headquarters, it could be a temporary place where they gathered for emergency meetings. Still, it would be very useful for him to explore this place.
Even if Hamra wasn't here, these people would take him to Hamra.
After standing there for a few hours, Heinald saw a man wearing a porcelain mask come out. He wore a long black robe, his tall slender figure looked even taller under the moonlight.
"It's him! Hamra!" A cold look appeared in Heinald's eyes. In fact, he was here too!
He started following him from afar. He was especially careful while following him because if this man had the technique to control Magical Beasts, he could also control ordinary animals.
Though, since Heinald was already hiding in the shadows and didn't emit any energy waves, even ordinary animals wouldn't be able to detect him.
Hamra moved rather quickly on a wide plain. They were a long way from Rentes City and the area where they were meeting.
Heinald wondered where he was aiming to go. He was in no hurry to confront him. However, after a while, he felt the time was right and began to approach him quickly.
"Who is there!?" When Hamra heard the voice behind him, he immediately turned around.
Heinald noticed that he had reflexively put one hand in his pocket.
The moonlight falling on his mask was reflected in elegant beams of light. Some parts of the wooded area they were in were illuminated by this moonlight.
As Heinald stepped out of the shadows into the moonlight, his face became visible.
"You…" Hamra naturally remembered his face.
"Hello, my lord…" Heinald smiled.
Hamra just stared at him, confused, not saying anything.
Heinald couldn't see the expression on his face because of the mask, but if he did, he would've seen a frowning expression.
"I thought Yetenna destroyed you…" Hamra said coldly.
Heinald chuckled lightly, "She almost succeeded…"
"Then I'll finish the job she couldn't finish!" A sword appeared in Hamra's hand, and he suddenly rushed forward.
He gripped his sword tightly with both hands and slashed horizontally.
Heinald was waiting for this move, ducked quickly and dodged the attack. He punched his stomach with all his might and knocked him back several meters.
"Urghh!" Hamra vomited blood from the hard punch he received so close, and felt that her internal organs were slightly damaged.
He was going through one of the biggest shocks he had ever experienced in his life while he was floating in the air. How could he have so much power?
Hamra hit the ground and began to drift, roaring inside, "How could this be? Did he use some kind of power potion?"
He could n't think clearly because of his shocking and anger.
"Infernal Fireball!" Heinald shout out in his mind.
As he pointed his hand forward, flames appeared above his hand, radiating an incredibly fierce heat to the surrounding area, and they came together to form a ball.
With just one thought of him, the fireball started flying quickly towards Hamra.
"He is a Level 2 Ainsar!" Hamra's eyes widened. The young man she had last seen as an insect now appeared before him as a Level 2 Ainsar.
Hamra sent Magical Energy to his pocket watch. At that moment, a barrier appeared around him, emitting a pale red light.
*BAM* When the fireball hit the barrier and exploded, the entire area about 200 meters in diameter was turned to ash within seconds. The scorching flames began to rise in waves into the sky.
The darkness of the night was dispersed by the dazzling light emitted by the fiery flames.
Numerous cracks appeared in the barrier surrounding it as Hamra was knocked back by the impact of the explosion.
"How could this be!? How could a single spell from him destroy half of the durability of my Protective Type Magical Treasure!" Hamra cried out in surprise.
"This…" Heinald's eyes widened, "He actually got a Protective Type Magical Treasure!"
He immediately grabbed Embers and Narox and started running towards Hamra.
"I will kill you!" Hamra roared in anger and began to cast a spell.
A large number of needles appeared around him, emitting intense Poison Element Energy. With a wave of his hand, they all started flying towards Heinald.
Heinald immediately sent Magical Energy to both of his swords at the same time and slashed them. From the two swords, simultaneously, an air stripe and a fire strip bursted out parallel to each other and began to fly towards the needles.
The needles were immediately destroyed when the collision occurred.
"It's a very weak attack, probably the fastest spell he could cast." Heinald thought.
He did this weak attack because he was trying to gain momentum, so he was thinking of giving himself some time to make another move.
However, Heinald had responded to his attack very quickly.
After the Air stripe and Fire stripe destroyed the needles, they flew straight towards Hamra. He reacted immediately and dodged the attack by jumping to the right.
Thus, his move made him lose even more momentum.
"You…even if you managed to become a Level 2 Ainsar, it must not have been too long. How can you be so strong?" Hamra grit his teeth.
Heinald hadn't even used potions yet.
Heinald ignored him and dashed towards him. He sent Magic Energy to Embers in his hand.
When Embers was engulfed in fires, he swung it and slashed crossly.
Under normal circumstances, this attack was supposed to split Hamra in two, but his Protective Type Magical Treasure saved his life once again.
When Heinald's sword collided with the barrier, the backlash caused him to fly back a few meters.
"Hell Hammers!" Hamra roared, he had to take advantage of this gap!
Three fire hammers appeared above Heinald, radiating fierce waves of flame.
