Chapter 3551: Eliminating Resistance
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
Waterweaver gritted his teeth as he withstood an onslaught of destruction from a siege of submarines. He breathed heavily, balling up as he manipulated the water around him to serve as defensive shields, protecting him from the destruction that a fleet of siege submarines inflicted on him. Before he could even react, however, a tekvore arrived before him at high speeds as her long hair and paper-white skin glowed with power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
The water around him shone, crackling with plasma as he felt his skin burn.
"Rgh!" he gritted his teeth, his eyes sharpening with ferocity. He clenched his fist, launching a powerful blast against the female tekvore, only to find himself blasted by a destructively powerful sonic blast from the side.
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
"Damn!" He cursed as the impact flung him some distance away.
He turned to find himself face to face with a giant and unleashed a powerful clap that shook the very waters around him with its force.
"Watch out, Waterweaver!"
His eye widened as he felt a tremendous pressure crushing down on him from above.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!
The impact sent him flying down to the ocean floor, crashing into it at a very high speed, breaking into the negatron mines with great violence. He gazed around with a dazed expression.
Countless pathwalkers and vessels gathered.
The evolutionaries, the tekvores, and the giants mounted a combined, sustained attack on the forces of the Panamic Alliance, even if they weren't in an official alliance.
Waterweaver gritted his teeth as the sonic siege weapons of the submarines turned, pointing at him.
BOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
RUMBLE!
Once more, a shield of seaweed barely managed to protect him from the impact, weaving together to form a layer that could absorb sound and harness it as its own energy, giving him just enough time to get back up and out of the way.
[<(ꐦㅍ _ㅍ)> This is like pulling out weeds.]
Waterweaver panted heavily, desperately struggling to heal, as he gritted his teeth at the message.
Her mirthful tone didn't match the viciousness of her actions.
The contrast made it eerie.
She would use strange symbols to create a text emoticon that expressed her emotions in a light, unserious manner while trying to genocide every last human and Martial Artist from the bottom of the ocean.
[Primitive creature capable of nothing but violence.]
Waterweaver sharpened his eyes. "What…?"
[Did I strike a nerve? ◠‿◠ ] He could almost hear her sneering. [Is it not true that you are creatures evolved for violence, the way that giants are evolved for hunger and gluttony? You are barely more civilized than the therianthropes, are you not? You are even more primitive than them are because your path is unable to integrate technology into it, aren't you?]
Waterweaver clenched his fist. "We are not like you who is nothing without technology. We are Martial Artists."
His eyes flared with power.
"Don't underestimate us!"
He charged towards the tekvores with a furious determination.
WHOOSH
Chills crawled across his skin as the tekvore army parted at just the right moment, evading his attack as if they could predict his every move. They parted to unveil a giant siege gun pointed straight at him.
Almost as if she knew exactly what actions he would take.
[Hehehe, you fell for it. (⸝⸝> ᴗ•⸝⸝)]
His eyes widened with shock as the siege gun unleashed a destructively titanic attack at him.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
RUMBLE!!!
The ocean depths shook violently as a devastatingly powerful siege weapon struck the Martial Sage point-blank, unleashing an intensely powerful attack of mass destruction.
Martial Artists were generally regarded as superior to siege weapons because of their speed, flexibility, precision, accuracy, and control.
However, when it came to raw output, siege weapons were far, far greater.
And if they managed to get a clean hit, not even peak Martial Sages could withstand them easily.
RUMBLE
Waterweaver was flung with the destructive blast that ravaged the ocean floor along with him. With a single attack, his bones shattered, leaving him utterly broken.
His skin tore while his flesh crumpled, his muscles pushed beyond their limit. His broken body was hurled across the ocean floor as the many Martial Artists and even therianthropes watched with grave horror.
"Waterweaver!" Lord Matsya's fish eyes grew grave as he disengaged from his battle, rushing towards the Martial Sage with a grim expression. He could hear the man's heartbeat growing weaker with each passing moment. He couldn't allow the strongest underwater warrior of the Panamic forces to die; it would completely crumble their defensive lines and their joint military force.
The collapse of the peak Martial Sage sent a shockwave, both literal and figurative, across the entirety of the underwater war. Martial Artists froze in horror as there realized that their strongest warrior fell, while the enemy forces grew more and more emboldened by the change.
"Attack." The captain of one private outfit commanded. "Attack, grab whatever exotic matter you can, and then let's get the hell out of here!"
"Charge!" One true-world pathwalker mercenary group declared. "Let's try to get our hands on one of their mining vessels and then dip!"
Countless private-sector mercenary groups participated in raids against the Panamic Alliance alongside the evolutionaries, the tekvores, and giants. They avoided the powerhouse pathwalkers, focusing on nibbling away whatever they could, for it was more profitable than fighting for negatron matter.
As astronomically high as the demand for negatron matter was, the supply was starting to catch up with intense competition, and negatron matter prices would soon begin to stabilize and perhaps even fall in a few months' time.
It was thus more profitable to try and fight for the Panamic Alliance's exotic matter that still had a highly restricted supply compared to the supply of negatron matter.
The moment Waterweaver fell, they began to go all out, unleashing a surge of attacks to try and scavenge whatever they could from the collapsing defense lines of the Panamic Alliance.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
The heightened aggression caused the pressure imbalance to mount as more and more forces began getting through the cracks.
