Chapter 1055: Admission Notice for Graduate Students
"Brother-in-law, can you help me review this project proposal?"
At the Palm Pavilion, Xu Qianyun handed a thick stack of documents to Jing Yu with a flattering demeanor, hope glittering in her eyes.
Tang Shu walked down from the second floor and witnessed this scene, "What project proposal is this?"
"I'm planning to invest in a project a few senior students are working on. I think it's pretty good; I'm just unsure."
"So soon you've set your sights on a project?"
Tang Shu was surprised. Xu Qianyun had only solidified her future plans this past summer; back then, they thought it was just youthful enthusiasm. Little did they expect that before the first semester had ended, she already had progress.
"Of course, I am serious."
Having entered university, Xu Qianyun showed definitive signs of maturity, "I can't keep worrying Mom, Dad, and you all the time, can I?"
"Good thinking, keep it up."
Finally, her little one was growing up. Tang Shu was pleased and walked over to glance at the proposal behind Jing Yu, spotting a line of particularly eye-catching words.
"A mobile game?"
Great. She had just been impressed by her sibling's maturity, and now reality gave her a slap in the face.
"Yup! I think this project is highly feasible; there will definitely be a lot of players. It's totally different from the mobile games I've seen before."
Jing Yu had already skimmed through the key portions of the proposal and formed an opinion internally.
"It is indeed different. The character designs and the event location maps are more flexible. You've got good taste."
"Right, right!? Brother-in-law, do you also think it's worth investing in?"
"It is."
Jing Yu, seated on the sofa, raised his head, and his dark eyes glimmered with humor. He placed the proposal to one side, clasping his hands slowly, exuding an air of authority.
"It's just not suitable for you."
"…Huh?"
Xu Qianyun, who was feeling jubilant moments ago, suddenly felt as if cold water had been splashed on her, dampening her excitement thoroughly.
"Why? You just said it's a great project—why isn't it suitable for me?"
"Mobile game development is capital-intensive in the early stages. You don't have enough funds."
"But I've calculated it; initial investment costs are around seven to eight million. I can still manage that right now!"
"And what about later stages? This game demands high-resolution graphics, lots of weapons, and intense battle scenes. If you want to deliver a top-notch player experience, that sum isn't enough."
"Well…then I could earn more money over time?"
Xu Qianyun was unwilling to give up on the project.
Tang Shu chuckled, "Isn't the reason you wanted to invest in this project to make money in the first place?"
"Uh, yes… That's what I intended… Sister, why don't you also join in? You won't lose money, promise!"
Finally realizing her investment might be beyond the savings she'd painstakingly accumulated for over ten years, Xu Qianyun quickly turned to external aid.
Jing Yu and Tang Shu shared a glance and laughed, "Looks like you have learned a thing or two over the past semester. Joining is possible, but I'll need you to draft a detailed investment plan."
"Sure! But I don't have much experience…"
"Experience can be gained. Take your time—you're only a freshman; no need to rush."
"But the senior students won't wait—they've already begun initial development. I need to act quickly!"
Brimming with bold enthusiasm, Xu Qianyun grabbed the proposal and stomped upstairs energetically. Even her retreating figure radiated determination.
Watching her vanish from the living room, Jing Yu pulled Tang Shu into his embrace, "Is he planning to start out on his own?"
"Yes, after all, Qianyun has some attachment to Qianyu."
Right now, Xu Qianyu held the position of CEO of Xu Corporation and took precautions toward this younger brother. If one day she fully controlled Xu Corporation, she likely wouldn't leave him unscathed.
It was probable Xu Qianyun would only retain shares, receive annual dividends, and be excluded from company operations entirely.
Jing Yu lightly pinched her fingers, one by one, "Qianyun's still too young. Cloudscape Group has an investment department—how about finding him a mentor there?"
"He's just a freshman—isn't it too soon?"
"Not at all. He's from the Xu Family, and his future opponent is Eldest Miss Xu."
"Is that troublesome?"
"Not troublesome. We'll treat him like an intern—he can help support the team. During winter break, let's have Qianyun report to the investment department."
Jing Yu lowered his head, and his voice slowly disappeared between soft whispers.

February brought along the final exams as scheduled.
For Medical University students, something else awaited them—the list of candidates admitted for postgraduate studies. Tang Shu received her second offer letter from the institution.
"Congratulations on advancing to the first year of graduate school early."
The offer letter was personally handed to her by Professor Yu. The small courtyard, coated in this year's first snowfall, was blanketed in pristine white.
"But I haven't even taken the admission interview yet; the written exam results just came out…"
Professor Yu laughed, "You've participated in two major research projects already. Do you really need to go through the motions of interviews like everyone else? Every professor here recognizes you."
That was true—the process wasn't so important anymore.
"So does this mean I've been pre-admitted?"
"Exactly. In fact, even if your scores weren't ideal this time, you would have received the offer during your final year of undergraduate studies anyway."
Talent was something schools didn't pass up. With her contributions and academic performance, Tang Shu already qualified for the guaranteed postgraduate admission. This time, too, her results surprised everyone—a fourth-year student scoring higher than fifth-year students. Even Professor Yu was astonished.
When Tang Shu opened the offer letter and saw the reporting date, she froze.
"End of next August? But I won't have finished my undergraduate studies by then."
"So you'll need to work hard next year. You can't neglect your final undergraduate coursework while simultaneously completing your first-year graduate classes."
Professor Yu adjusted his glasses and smiled again, "But I've already communicated with the school. You can directly take your final undergraduate exams, and as long as you score above 80 in every subject, you'll be fine."
"So I'm skipping a grade?"
What? You can skip grades in university?
"Universities absolutely allow skipping grades. I'm an example myself."
Wen Nuan, upon hearing about Tang Shu's early start to her graduate journey, commented matter-of-factly while testing a new model of compact weapon in the training room.
"If you've got the ability, don't waste time or energy on unnecessary steps. Congrats."
Feeling doubled pressure from her coursework, Tang Shu sighed inwardly as she realized Sister Luo's ambitious lineup of acting projects might need to be postponed again.
"Is this what you've been researching in the lab lately—a new model weapon?"
"Yes. I've tweaked quite a few aspects. Want to try it out?"
"Sure."
Tang Shu had grown accustomed to Wen Nuan's gadgets. After a while of tinkering, she quickly got the hang of it. True to its creator's description, it combined high destructive power with reduced recoil.
"Let's go see Little Bun. It's been days since we've seen her, and her little limbs have turned into chubby segments like lotus roots—one chunky joint after another."
