The Married Life Of Immortals

Chapter 43: Domain of Dead Kings Part 1

Bane was spat out of the portal to be sent tumbling on to a barren landscape that was riddled with craters and massive gouges in the land. Twisting, Bane easily stopped his roll and sprang to his feet.

*Ba-dump!*

Bane's eyes bulged and his hands grabbed at the center of his chest. It felt like there was a massive energy inside of him that was growing. Bane suddenly knew that if he didn't do something very fast, he was literally going to explode. Quickly closing his eyes, Bane focused on the energy.

"Divine spiritual energy?" Bane muttered, but then dropped to the ground into the lotus position.

Something had changed, and he didn't have to call for Eve to know she wasn't here. That had to mean that Onyx was also not here for some reason, and everything he had been holding back was now Bane's to control, but there was so much spiritual energy. Bane focused on the time he had spent with Bai Xiao Meng, and tried to remember what his master had been doing.

Then Bane remembered his spiritual base that he had formed, if only briefly. Focusing on that feeling, he found it almost immediately, and started to force the building energy into it.

Far up in the air, a solid black entity with two massive black horns watched the small body that had an absurd amount of divine energy building in his body. Though, that was not what troubled the entity. No, it was the fact that this divine energy should have caused that small child to explode ten times over, but he was unconsciously using demonic energy to somehow suppress it while he tried to absorb it. That was not possible, nor should such a power exist in any world.

Daigatz, A Supreme One, had noticed something funny coming from another Supreme One's Path World. This was a world base that was used to collect and merge worlds, while also culling weaker races that would not be fit to serve. Daigatz was not one to interfere in other Supreme One's World Maker Journey's, but this human had a Rogue Exiled in him, and that was not a good thing.

Daigatz wasn't sure about his plan to take this boy for his own army. No, this child's ability to control the two most primal forces in existence was not a good thing for anyone. Light and Dark should not be able to coexist, let alone work together, but it was clear to Daigatz that this was the case. And, If this boy was allowed to live, both Light and Dark Supreme ones could be at risk in the future.

"You must not be allowed to exist!" Daigatz roared, lifting his hands up to create a massive black spear that crackled with primordial demonic energy, then released it at Bane.

The bolt rushed at Bane's small cross-legged form, but he had reached a state of enlightenment. It was thanks to the demonic energy that suppressed the divine and regular spiritual energy Bane had gained. The month of training, pills, and the ritual Bai Xiao Meng had done for him were now slowly being absorbed and increasing his cultivation at an alarming speed.

As the bolt neared Bane, a black mist leaked from his arms, chest and face to rise up in front of him, just in time to form a strangely demonic featureless version of Bane. The demonic clone caught the bolt, and began to eat it until it had absorbed all the energy. The clone let out a bestial roar of defiance at the sky, and far above, Daigatz narrowed his eyes.

"How dare the power I wielded be absorbed by the that thing? Is that thing below me not a child?" Daigatz asked himself, and pondered on it for a brief moment before darting at the child with supersonic speed.

Bane's awareness returned sharply as the last of the divine spiritual energy settled into his spiritual base. He opened his eyes just in time to see the demonic clone dissolve back into him, leaving behind a tangible surge of strength and clarity. Bane felt a profound connection to both the divine and demonic energies within him, a harmonious balance that defied conventional wisdom.

Before Bane could fully process this transformation, a shadow fell over him. He looked up to see Daigatz, the Supreme One, descending with terrifying speed. The air around him crackled with malevolent energy, and his eyes burned with an unholy fire.

Time slowed down, but Bane slowly stood up without a care in the world. One of his eyes burned with a golden divine fury, while the other was blacker than the emptiest parts of space. Focusing on the black form that must be a named demon flying at him, Bane raised his hand to Daigatz massive form that was about to reach him and said, "Sit."

Almost instantly, one hundred and seventy three purple spell rings appeared above Diagatz, stretching into the sky for miles. To the Supreme One's shock, he froze in the air.

"Oh? That wasn’t enough? Even with 173 stacked? I mean, it did stop you, but something tells me that won't be enough by themselves..." Bane mused trailing off as he tapped his small chin to slowly walk around Daigatz.

"What are you?!" Daigatz growled, but Bane could only shrug.

"Beats me, but less about me and more about you," Bane said as he continued to pace around Daigatz. "You're one of those Named Demons, right? You're supposed to be smarter than the others, yes?"

This made Daigatz furious. "You dare compare a Supreme One to a lowly Named Demon?!"

Daigatz tried to break free, but Bane had already stopped since he was surprised at this news, but then he made a motion with his hand. Far above Daigatz, forty three of the Gravity spells slammed down on each other, merging. The moment this happened, the Supreme One was slammed to the ground, but he was still on his feet.

"You think this is enough?!" Daigatz roared, but then another forty slammed down to merge into one, bringing him to his knees. "I am an immortal! You can't kill me!"

Bane finally burst out laughing, thinking of Lysia fondly, and all the hell she put him through at the start. Death was a means to an end, but Lysia taught him that the real hell was trying to reach that end.

"You know, there are much worse things than death, right?" Bane asked as he walked around to stand in front of the solid black humanoid form that was the size of a small house. Before Daigatz could reply, Bane put up a finger. "But, before that! Did you know? Basic spells can be compounded? Pretty useless unless you use a 1 to 100 ratio, but since I thought you were a Named Demon, I decided to do my max at a 1 to 173 ratio."

"What are you even talking about? You can't tell me that you are holding me using basic Gravity magic?! You have no idea the power I wield!" Daigatz screamed at Bane, but the boy just snapped his fingers, and then the last ninety Gravity spell circles collapsed, merging together all as one. The Supreme One was crushed into the ground for ten miles before being submerged in the magma of this fake world's mantle.

The gravity spell could be used to restrict a person if you had more energy than them, but it became much less effective at higher levels, or so Lysia had explained to Bane. She had also casually mentioned he could combine the spells, but each additional spell took more mana than the previous. Now, because Bane had been able to condense an absurd amount of divine energy, cultivate it, and absorb even more demonic energy at the same time, his mana base had also increased over ten fold. This meant that not only did he have a ridiculous amount of mana, but he could also restore it in the blink of an eye as his body automatically converted his excess divine and demonic energy into mana.
