The Magical Beast Girl Won't Leave Me Alone!

Days later, late at night.

Shihon wakes up from bed.

At this point, if it were the first few days of Shihon and Liohime's relationship, the latter would have easily awoken by now due to him not being able to sleep because of her clinging. Of course, her bad habits (can we even call that bad?) had died down, but that would lead to an…interesting situation because of it.

Now, Shihon had awakened late at night because she was hungry. Without waking her partner up, she decided that it was probably best to look for something quick to eat in the fridge, so she silently exited the sleek design of the new bedroom and headed to the kitchen.

As she began to tiptoe to the fridge (why is she doing this), she began to instantly imagine the final bit of the large cake that they had, and the luscious taste that she was about to experience.

There was nothing left, as you expected.

Shihon had opened the fridge and her expression immediately turned to one of a disgusted nature.

She then closed the fridge, and as if expecting it to magically appear, she opened it back again, hoping that she had missed it while scanning-

Yeah, once again, it wasn't there.

Master…how dare you eat my yummy cake without telling me?

However, the thought of Liohime eating cake with a cute face made her stare off into space with a smile, but her growling stomach quickly put an end to that, and she shook her head violently.

Grocery day was definitely needed, as there was barely anything likeable in the fridge.

Still, I really wanna eat some cake…

With a sudden idea popping up, she tried to reason about the risk that could be caused if she did it, but her hunger spoke for herself.

Fuck it. I'm going to the nearest convenience store to get some cake.

Thus, Shihon's solitary journey for cake in the middle of the night without her Master knowing had commenced.

"Well would you look at that? Luck really is on my side tonight."

With her hooded clothing on, Shihon was able to find a large convenience store that was still open at the late time.

She was a bit caught aback by its large size, but nevertheless, she decided to enter-

-And then stopped.

Shit, do they have a Magical Beast detector here too, or no? she asked internally, scanning the entrance for any signs of weird and unusual technology hardware.

She could still remember the awkward scenario that she had to get out of in Polar Town due to that, and if she was now in a richer area, then maybe it was more common here.

However, she found nothing out of the ordinary, and with her stomach basically telling her to risk it, she gambled on entering anyway, hoping for the best.

She took a step in, and then slowly entered and listened.

….Nothing.

She let out a sigh and headed straight to the pastry aisle.

Now, how would Shihon pay for what she wanted to get?

….Good fucking question. I would like to know as well.

Because in her case, as soon as she got to a beautiful small sliced cake…

…Oh, fuck off.

She had been so hungry and desperate for what she wanted to eat that she had forgotten to snatch some of Liohime's money to pay for it.

She had come all this way, just to not have any money to pay.

Good grief, Shihon. The lights were on, but it seemed like nobody was at home in her mind.

Just as she was debating whether to return home and return with money or actually ponder on the idea of stealing, she heard a loud voice in the front of the store.

"All of the money! Now!"

"J-Just don't hurt me!"

"I said now, damn it!!"

"Fine!"

Wait…this conversation…

Her eyes widened, and a feeling of unease crept up within her.

A robbery?

She paused, and then sighed, scratching her head.

Seriously? At a time like this? Whatever….

As if without fear, she began to stroll towards where the cashier stood and soon found a masked man pointing a gun at a young teenage girl who was…the cashier?

What's a young girl doing in a job like this late at night?

She tilted her head in confusion, just as the man spotted her silent presence a few feet away.

Frightened, he immediately took a few steps back and continued to switch his arm between Shihon and the cashier.

"Don't take another fucking step!! You hear me!!?"

"Oh, I hear you, I hear you," Shihon answered obediently, raising both of her hands up. "I just wanted to know if I could get a few dollars from what you're about to get."

…

"Huh?" was the reply from both the robber and the cashier, and the latter continued, "What the…aren't you supposed to be on my side here!?"

"S-Shut up!!!" yelled the man, silencing the young girl before keeping his focus on Shihon. "You ain't getting shit, bitch! Get on the floor and don't move, before I kill both of ya!"

"Fuck. Alright, alright. Oh, the police are here."

"-hk!?"

Turning his head to face the entrance, the man looked, but found nothing, and in the same split-second that as he had realized he had been tricked and prepared to shoot, Shihon had already blitzed into close range and slammed his body onto a nearby wall, leaving small cracks from the impact as she pummeled his body and held onto his right arm and neck tightly with both arms.

Completely dazed, the man sputtered, and the cashier looked on with fright as Shihon began to speak in a much more serious tone.

"Release the fucking gun."

"Y….You bitch…"

"Release it, or your arm is gone."

"A-Alright! Alright then!!!"

Crumbling under the pressure instantly, he released it, and Shihon quickly sent a direct hand chop to his neck, knocking him out as he slumped onto the ground.

The duo stared at the motionless figure and then exchanged glances with each other.

"So….I saved your fucking life. How about I take what I need and just leave, huh?"

The girl gulped.

"S-Sure….sure thing-"

"And anything extra that I want?"

"Don't fucking push it, okay!!! Just take one thing and leave!!!"

Shihon shrugged, went to take her cake, and quickly left as the cashier decided to call the police to come for the robber.

What an interesting night, she thought. I'm glad that nothing went badly-

"So that's where you ran off to, huh?"

Liohime eyed her suspiciously as he welcomed her back in the living room with a tired expression.
