Book Two needed more, so I'm going back [HIATUS message]
Hey,
So... Like I've been saying, writing book 3 has been a struggle. One reason is the new story I've been writing. Splitting my attention between two different projects was a mistake. The other reason was that it felt like something was missing when Vidar set out from Halmstadt.
I've been giving both reasons a lot of thought and I've come to the decision that I will have to put The Lost Runes Saga on hiatus for a while.
While writing two projects at the same time was a mistake, I'm not willing to stop writing either one at this point. Lifeweaver has the bigger audience and makes me money (Patreon) yes, but Vidar's story is near and dear to my heart. So that reason is kind of moot. I'll work on finding a sustainable way of writing.

But, I've identified what's missing from the end of book 2. The church. There is just no way Vidar would leave Halmstadt without investigating what's going on in there and how it's connected to the shadows. That's why I'm returning to book 2 and extending it. With how much, you ask? I don't know. Honestly, probably just five chapters or so, if that. Still, those 5 chapters might impact what I've already written of Book 3, so it doesn't make sense to release those chapters as they are right now.
That's why I'm putting this story under HIATUS. My hope is that it won't be for very long, but I'm not making any promises on that.
Thank you for understanding,
Oskar
