The lord of life and death

At last, he borrows a ship from Xue Lin, whose shop is burned to the ground by the fire when the corpse attacks. So both Xue Lin, Old Gu, and Gao Li join their group.

Rain hears someone walking toward him, it is muffled as if he is not a grandmaster. He would have not heard any footsteps, which made him figure out who was walking toward him." Old Gu, For a week, I was waiting for your challenge but you did not visit once."

Old Gu scoffs," Why should I challenge you knowing I will get beaten."

Rain laughed," I heard you fought equally with the middle-realm black corpse." he heard that he was getting beaten by a middle-realm black corpse. If Xue Lin did not help him, he would have died.

Old Gu laughed with embarrassment," I heard you kill a middle-realm black corpse. When I heard I was surprised at first, but seeing you advancing to the fourth realm of grandmaster and your sword skill. It would been easy for you."

Xue Lin with surprised," Rain is the 4th realm grandmaster only in the top three." Rain thought with his realm if not first, he would be top three.

So, he turns to face her to hear the reason. Gao Li," The competition will all people under 20 years inside the white stone mountain range. There are no powerful sects or families inside the white stone mountain range but many from outside came and were unable to get out because of the blockade."

Rain understood but he is confident in getting the first rank. 

Old Gu speaks," Rain then you must be careful."

Rain smirks, "Old Gu you got your information wrong, I did not kill the middle realm black corpse with my 4th realm grandmaster or with my sword."

"I was a second realm grandmaster when I killed the black corpse with my palm skill." Rain does not wait for their answer and jumps from the ship, landing on the water, and in 5 steps his foot lands on the mountain.

After the ship stops some distance from the mountain, the rest of the group of around 50 people lands on the mountain. First before hunting they decided to camp, as the number of people with them they decided to stay for one night in the mountain.

Rain roams around the sides facing the river finding only animals and no demons. That was the correct information about these four mountains he knew, On the side facing the river there were no demons but in the inner area there were first realm demons, and in the center of the four mountains was a large valley, where 2nd realm demons were spotted.

So, he and Old Gu will enter the inner area, the rest will stay in the outer area. When he returned to the site, the camp was already built, trees were cut for a clearing a wooden fence was in place, and inside multiple tents stood. 

Rain walking toward the gate of the camp, hears Xue Lin and Gao Li in conversation.

Gao Li," Xue Lin, You do need to stay with me. You can hunt with Yun in the inner region."

Xue Lin," Why should I go and hunt a demon with? It is not needed for me."

Gao Li," You are lying, two days ago, you complained about that after entering the refining energy realm. You want to try your spell against the demon and about the blockade of Earth Devil palace stop your resources required for your cultivation from coming in."

Being a pill refiner helps her become friends with Xue Lin, otherwise, with their differences in talent, they would never be friends. Rain hears them walking away and he also enters the camp.

A half-hour later, He, Old Gu, and Xue Lin standing on the peak of the mountain, their back side is the outer area, and in front is the inner area and the valley. Rain admires the scenery ahead covered by trees, and he cannot spot any demons.

Rain glances back at her, and hears her speak," There 9 boars in the herd, with 4 children, 4 adult boars, and one beginning first-order boar demon. And from their energy signature, they are stone boars."

Hearing the name Stone Boar, the soul chip sent him their information. They are called stone boars because their skin and muscles are hard and taste like stone. The valuable part of their body is their tusk and their internal organs which are tastier than any other boar species and contain massive nutrients. Demon Stone boar's blood is an excellent ingredient in taking medical baths for warriors.

Rain," Then I will be lookout. Old Gu take the first order demon boar and Xue Lin you take care of the rest." With that Rain climbs a tree in front of him and stands on a branch where he can see the boars.
