After coming out of Miranda's Magic Workshop, Luo Yan did not stay at the Outpost Fortress but went according to the original plan to the Mushroom Forest below the cliff, and found Sarah, Alakdo, and Octo who were in the midst of their trial.

When he arrived, Octo, brandishing dual blades, was engaged in combat with a Demon Beast resembling a tiger or a leopard!

As time passed, the Demon Beast finally showed signs of fatigue, finding it increasingly difficult to parry the ferocious attacks of the Lizardman Corpse Ghost and the sneak attacks from the Cat Demoness.

Especially at this critical juncture, it suddenly felt a powerful presence approaching.

"Hiss..."

Letting out a hissing noise, the Demon Beast abruptly lashed its tail to force back dual-blade-wielding Octo, and while leaping backward to gain distance, it looked in the direction of the approaching aura.

Perhaps it felt the threat of death from Luo Yan, or perhaps it was trying to find a way to break through him, the Demon Beast let out a bloodthirsty growl and charged at Luo Yan without any regard for itself!

Seeing Luo Yan, who had suddenly appeared at the edge of the battlefield, Sarah was slightly startled and almost lost her composure, shouting out impulsively.

"Lord Demon King, be careful!"

As its body riddled with holes silently fell, the broken flesh quickly burst into black powder and dispersed, leaving behind a crimson crystal on the ground.

Luo Yan glanced at his Attribute panel in his spare time, noticing he had gained three thousand Experience points, which was fairly decent.

As his Level continued to rise, the experience contributed by these small fries was becoming less and less.

However, the experience here was still more than that from the Demons in the Maze.

A skeleton hand broke through the cracked soil, picked up the blood-colored crystal from the ground, and skillfully stuffed it into Luo Yan's pocket as he passed by.

Watching Lord Demon King walk through the dust, Alakdo immediately made an excited sound.

"Lord Demon King? What brings you here?"

Stowing his Magic Wand, Luo Yan spoke with an easygoing tone.

"I've finished my business. How about you? Is everything going smoothly here?"

Just as he finished speaking, a swift and graceful figure stepped nimbly to his side.

Staring intently at the Demon King, Sarah's cat ears on her head shook gently, her bright eyes filled with an expectant light.

Unlike players with a system, she couldn't see her own Level and could only rely on Luo Yan to confirm it for her.

Looking at Sarah with hopeful eyes, Luo Yan smiled and patted her head, approvingly saying.

"Not bad at all, up two Levels... Great progress!"

A delighted smile appeared on Sarah's face, her eyes narrowed into joyous crescents.

"Haha, just like usual! Couldn't be smoother! I have a feeling that it won't be long before my power reaches a new height!"

Unlike the demure Sarah, Alakdo laughed heartily, his expression eager for recognition...even though during the preceding battle, he mostly slacked off, and his contribution was not as significant as he imagined.

Watching the boastful Alakdo, Luo Yan laughed and said.

"Don't be complacent, we've just defeated Calmandes's army on the main battlefield, and this is their stronghold, they might retaliate at any moment."
