"Yes, a farm!" Divine Prime Jade said before pausing as if for dramatic effect. He gazed into Lu Zheng's eyes to see if the man was interested in his words before nodding to himself.

"This world, the heavens, the earth, the five regions and the myriad realms, they are all part of a grand farm!"

Lu Zheng was confused by Divine Prime Jade's words but did not press him to explain. He knew the man would eventually elucidate him.

"Let me enlighten you with a great secret. This is a secret that no one other than we, the past five Reverends know of. It is a secret that we all paid for with our lives" Divine Prime Jade's tone suddenly grew serious as an ominous aura filled the place.

"What is it?" Lu Zheng asked as a faint idea formed in his mind. Before he could think more on it, Divine Prime Jade confirmed it.

"There is a beast that sits at the edge of the world"

"Beast?" Lu Zheng's thoughts finally became clearer as an image formed in his mind. It was a grand beast, many times larger than all of Western Plains. It was incomprehensibly large and had thousands of arms of different sizes.

Before it, Venerables and Reverends died without the slightest of struggles.

Blood flowed from Lu Zheng's nose as he recalled that image as an ominous feeling wrapped around him.

"Hmm?" Divine Prime Jade was surprised. "It seems you know of it. This means you must be the inheritor of one of the other Reverends. Your luck truly knows no bounds"

Lu Zheng wiped his blood away with his sleeves as he paid rapt attention to Divine Prime Jade. He was incredibly curious about this grand beast that had killed Reverend Spectral Demon and the two Venerables with him.

"I will continue" Divine Prime Jade cleared his throat. "I discovered this beast many months after I brokethrough to the Infinity realm. I was in the River of Time, observing the myriad lifeforms in order to comprehend the mystery of the world"

"It was then that I saw it, right at the beginning of the River of Time. It was in a deep slumber and even then, I had barely escaped with my life intact. The beast was able to shave off most of my Immortal Soul and if it were not for my reincarnation path methods, I would have died"

"Later on, I travelled all over the world to understand the reason behind the existence of a grand beast that even we Reverends stand no chance against. That was when I came to my conclusion"

Divine Prime Jade paused again as Lu Zheng focused. He did not wish to miss a single word.

"This beast has the great power to manipulate the Heavenly Dao. It creates natural inspiration to open the apertures of martial practitioners and provides fortuitous encounters to hasten their growth. It tempers them with tribulations and battles and in the end, when they die, it feeds on their souls and bodies to gain strength. To this grand beast, the entire cultivation system is merely a great farm!"

Lu Zheng was greatly stimulated by Divine Prime Jade's words and for many whiles, he was in deep thought.

After some time, he gave a wry smile: "Why haven't any of the Reverends spread this information?"

Divine Prime Jade shook his head: "If you dare to even mention word of the beast in the outside world, the Heavenly Dao would strike you to death with a tribulation that even Reverends tremble before"

"You must have noticed it. When you received this other Reverend's inheritance, your body or mind was taken to another realm. It is the same thing here. This temple is inside my aperture fragment, the only Dao present is my own. The Heavenly Dao cannot infiltrate it. Even so, it would create human tribulations in an attempt to stop me from sharing this inheritance"

"Do you think that it was by sheer coincidence that the Changshou Tong Race escaped their seal at the same time that you entered the inheritance ground?"

"You don't mean that…" Lu Zheng's voice trailed off as he understood the meaning behind Divine Prime Jade's words.
