Makato stood near the cave wall on the elevated ground as he listened to Kyosuke. He was garbed in beautiful apparels but his mood was anything but good.

"Hush" Makato placed his finger to Kumiko's lips. "All that I have done, I have done for our race. I have no regrets, even until now. As the bearer of the Togan, this is my duty"

"Even still…" Kumiko suddenly started to tear up. She paused and wiped her tears as she looked at the man before her. "Just let me…"

A surge of boldness suddenly coursed through Kumiko as she took a step towards Makato.

Makato who had never shared affection with any female in all of his life was surprised by Kumiko's sudden pro-activeness.

Just as he was wondering why the woman before him had gotten so close to him, he felt a warm pair of lips wrap around his as Kumiko took the step to kiss him.

Makato was stunned by the sudden action but at this point, his brain went to pilot mode and he only responded in tune.

After a few breaths of time, Kumiko stepped back from the man: "I… I'm sorry"

"N-No, it… it is no problem" Makato was still dazed from having his first kiss.

At this time, Kyosuke finished with his speech and turned to face the others: "Let us begin"
