A/N: This is a teaser chapter! Be warned!

"As you already know, each professor has the right to recommend one cadet each year."
A handsome man with white hair and blue eyes that looked as though he had stepped straight out of a BL series turned to a certain green-haired woman.
"Why are you telling me this, Evelyn? In case you forgot, you used yours on yourself. Isn't that how you entered this academy?"
The young woman laughed aloud. "Those were some wild days."
She smiled, sitting on the chair in the massive office that had glass walls on two ends, one behind her and the other at her side.
"Well, this isn't about me."
The young man raised an eyebrow. "Then who?"
She drew in a deep breath, leaning back on the chair. "Beatrice, that strict witch, actually recommended someone."
The young man's eyes widened for a moment before narrowing. "Beatrice did? The same Beatrice who hated being around people?"
The woman nodded. "Apparently, it's also a boy."
She turned to the glass window, which revealed the expanse of a massive academy.
"... His name is—"

Hummm... Hummm....
Beneath the cityscape of Pantheon, reporters moved as if someone was giving out free money, and no matter where they were, they all looked up at a certain plane.
It resembled a skydiving plane but at the same time did not.
On the side of this plane was a symbol of "APEX," written in a premium standard.
Inside this very jet was the next generation of Apex students.
Boys and girls. Ladies and gentlemen who would soon begin their journey as mages and swordsmen.
Hummm... Hummm...
The soft humming sound audible from the ground was strangely absent inside the plane.
Around fifty cadets sat inside this particular plane, and all their gazes were fixed on one man.
He had red hair and eyes that bordered on reddish-pink.
Long hair that stopped just below his shoulders, the ends tied back—though they couldn't see that.
However, there were two reasons he was the center of attention.
The first was because of what he wore.
Despite Pantheon being a rather warm city, he wore a brown sweater, a black trench coat over it, and a black scarf around his neck.
And the main reason he drew all the attention was his face.
None of the cadets, despite being rather good-looking themselves, had seen anyone like him before.
The young man had been the first to board the plane, even before the others arrived, as though his mother had forced him to come early.
And the moment the male cadets saw this, they all knew they were finished even before entering the school.
Just as they had anticipated, the only five girls on the plane sat beside him, their faces red throughout the journey, even though he hadn't spoken to them.
Who could blame them? Even the boys themselves were beginning to fall for the flawless beauty.
One of the boys tapped his friend and asked,
"What's the dude's name?"
His friend leaned in and whispered, "I heard his name is—"

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
A long sigh escaped the lips of the beauty, which was me.
'Tsk. Flawless beauty, my ass!'
Training.
That was all I had done during the two days I stayed with Beatrice.
Yes, I had seen a massive improvement in my stats, but still...
If that wasn't enough for her, she had to treat me like a damn kid.
Allen, wear this. Allen, wear that.
And the worst part?
I couldn't even stop her since she reminded me so much of someone I once knew.
"Making me come first thing in the morning while packing an expensive lunchbox for me."
The words slipped from my lips, barely more than a whisper.
"Hmmm... Hello."
Snapping out of my thoughts and turning to my side, I saw a beautiful young woman fidgeting with her seatbelt.
Noticing my gaze on her, she looked away.
"I've been meaning to ask, what's your name?"
Her eyes were practically sparkling, though they weren't looking at me.
Just my name?
My lips parted as I answered:
"Name's Allen." I smiled warmly. "Allen Vanderbilt."
