Chapter 190: Chapter 190
"How do I look?"
Yasaka twirls in place with a bright smile, her golden tails swaying behind her. She's currently wearing the outfit of Castoria in her second ascension—a white double-breasted coat-like dress with black buttons, a high collar, and navy-blue trim. A short navy-blue cape with gold accents and red lining drapes over her shoulders, fastened by a decorative golden button and a large purple bow. A navy blue beret with a red ribbon trim sits atop her head, a small silver emblem gleaming on its side.
She looks incredible, though the outfit seems to be struggling to contain her curves by the look of it.
"It looks great," I say, nodding in approval before adding, "but isn't it too tight? It looks like it's holding on for dear life."
"Right? But it's actually really comfortable." She grins and spins again. "The fabric hugs me just right, and I can move freely."
"That's good to hear," I reply. "Anyway, what kind of power do you have now?"
Humming happily, Yasaka lifts her staff and points it toward a massive boulder nearby. A moment later, a massive blue spear of energy materializes above her, crackling with power. She hurls it forward, and the moment it makes contact, a pillar of light erupts from the impact, reducing the boulder to dust.
"That's… powerful."
"Yeah, more powerful than I expected," she admits, twirling the staff in her hands.
"Did you amplify that with Senjutsu or Chakra?"
"Nope. That was just the pure power of this Class Card." She tilts her head. "What kind of Heroic Spirit did you give me, Ryan?"
"She's called Artoria Avalon—a Fairy King from an alternate world where the six great fairies failed their duty to create Excalibur and turned Britain into their personal playground."
Yasaka visibly shudders. "A world ruled by the Fae… Yeah, that sounds less like a paradise and more like a beautiful nightmare. It looks beautiful but it is still a nightmare all the same."
"That's a perfect way to describe it," I say with a nod. "Anyway, in that world, she wasn't the prophesied king but the prophesied fairy destined to complete the first six fairies' unfinished duty. She needed to ring the six bells in her world to gain the power of the original fairies."
"Ah, that explains the six sources of power I can feel inside me. They seem to be working together to create this strength."
I nod in understanding. I knew that Castoria's power scaled with how many bells she rang, but I never really looked into the specifics. Most of what I knew came from reading Reddit theories and lore discussions.
"Also… what kind of bullshit ability is this?" Yasaka frowns, flipping through the power's description in her mind. "This Noble Phantasm's protection is so strong it literally blocks any attack that could destroy the world. Even if something somehow bypasses the barrier, it weakens it enough that the planet itself is never in danger."
"Yeah," I say, shrugging. "Exactly what we need for the upcoming threat."
"It does have a weakness, though," I continue. "If the attack isn't something that can potentially destroy the world, it's just a very strong barrier."
"Even then, it's absurd," Yasaka scoffs. "This thing could probably block an all-out attack from my true form."
"That's good, no?" I say, satisfied. "What about physical strength? Do you feel a difference?"
She flexes her fingers, then shakes her head. "No, there's no boost to physical strength. I don't feel any change at all."
"That means your base strength is already higher than what the card provides. In terms of mana, though, it's a different story, right?"
"Oh, absolutely," she confirms. "The difference is enormous. The card gives me a massive mana pool. It's a high-tier Ultimate Class."
"That's a huge boost," I say, nodding.
In her humanoid form, Yasaka is a low-tier Ultimate Class. When she shifts into her true form, she reaches a high-tier Ultimate Class. If she taps into Kyoto's leyline, she temporarily ascends into the realm of gods, gaining divine authority over foxes. It's a small divinity, but it dramatically amplifies her fox-based abilities. Among them is her fire attack because it is a fox-related attack.
"Can you still transform into your true form while using the Class Card?" I ask.
"Sadly, no," she sighs. "It's like there's a dam blocking me from shifting. But honestly? It's not a bad trade-off. This form gives me utility. When I need raw power, I'll just switch to my true form."
"That makes sense," I agree.
"What about you, dear?" She smirks. "What kind of card do you have?"
I pull out my own Class Card and say, "Install Lancer."
The moment I activate it, I feel my existence shift.
The world welcomes me.
It embraces me like a mother welcoming her child home. The planet itself is eager to make me its avatar.
It gives me a massive boost to my stats. With the planet making me its avatar, it is as if the planet itself is the one summoning me into this world.
Enkidu's stats are unique, unlike the other servants. Enkidu has 30 'points' to distribute across their stats. To raise a stat to A-rank, they need 7 points. B-rank costs 6, C-rank costs 5, and so on.
Normally, this means Enkidu can only max out three A-rank stats with one B-rank and one E-rank.
But I'm different.
Gaia herself is backing me.
With the world as if summoning me, that means all my stats—except for Noble Phantasm—are at A+.
For as long as I have this form active, I am a Pseudo-Champion of Earth.
"Oh my~"
Yasaka's voice is lower than usual, almost sultry.
I snap out of my thoughts and see her cheeks flushed red. She's salivating.
"Yasaka? Are you okay?"
"Oh~ I'm more than fine," she purrs. "But… your presence right now…"
She steps closer, her golden eyes gleaming with something dangerous.
"You're so connected to the planet that a Senjutsu practitioner like me wants to jump on you and start mating."
I immediately cancel my transformation.
She exhales a shaky breath, then groans. "That's better, but I can still feel the lingering energy on you. It smells divine."
I take a step back. "I need to be careful using this form, then."
"Oh, yes." Yasaka nods firmly. "Do not leave this place while using that card unless it's an emergency. I don't want you getting jumped by Kyoto's residents and molested in the middle of the road."
I shudder. "Noted."
"Good." She stretches, her mood instantly shifting. "Now~ enough of that. Let's take a bath."
She smirks and leans in closer. "It's been a while since we bathed together, dear~ I feel wet, and I want you to make me even wetter~."
