The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 515: Soul Weapon (Part 2)

Horus said with a displeased expression, "Lei Lu, you must understand, standing before you is the Black Bucket!"

Lei Lu's momentum weakened a bit, but he still shouted defiantly, "So what about the Black Bucket? To forge the most perfect, strongest, and most compatible Soul Weapon, even the White Bucket would have to stay here for a month!"

Horus's tone was clearly angry, "Lei Lu! Mind your words! The Black Bucket is not something you can speak of with such contempt! He is the Fire Son! The kingdom's strongest rising star! Our hope!"

Lei Lu retorted, "But the Soul Weapon does not acknowledge it! It needs time!"

Horus raised his voice, "You must understand the weight of the words Black Bucket!"

Lei Lu countered in the same tone, "You need to understand the power of the Soul Weapon!"

The two began a heated argument, using the Black Bucket and Soul Weapon as their points of contention, neither giving in.

Rod covered his face, wishing he could find someplace to hide.

Finally, Horus and Lei Lu reached a compromise, deciding to extend Rod's stay here by half a day on the original basis.

Horus said coldly, "You've delayed us half a day of precious time! I hope it wasn't wasted."

Lei Lu excitedly rubbed his large hands, "You'll see, this half day is worth it!"

He turned his head, looked at Rod, and laughed slyly.

"Kiddo, come with me."

Rod scratched his head, feeling that Lei Lu's smile was akin to that of a creepy uncle looking at a goldfish.

But with Horus beside him, it seemed less dangerous, so he followed Lei Lu.

The three of them headed for the top of the tower, with Lei Lu repeatedly attempting to get rid of Horus, all unsuccessfully.

Horus told him in an unquestionable tone that Rod was not allowed to leave his sight, not even though he and Lei Lu were friends for thirty years; he couldn't rule out the suspicion of him being controlled by a Doomsday believer.

While Rod was in the Royal City, he had to ensure his safety at all times.

Lei Lu was highly annoyed but held his nose and accepted it for the sake of the Soul Weapon's quality.

Soon, they reached the top of the tower.

In a massive room, Rod saw countless Soul Crystals, forming a sophisticated array, white light refracting between them, making the entire room as bright as snow.

"Little Rod."

Lei Lu's tone suppressed excitement.

"This is the most sophisticated Soul detection room, capable of magnifying your soul over and over again, clearly showing even the finest strands."

"Here, I will obtain your complete Soul morphology; this is the foundation of your Soul Weapon."

Rod touched his mouth corner, and followed Lei Lu's instructions, stepping into the center platform.

Lei Lu activated the Soul Crystal Array, countless beams of white light reflected in the room, obscuring vision.

Under his operation, the white light quickly became orderly, scanning over Rod in a specific pattern.

The result of the feedback appeared in a crystal in Lei Lu's hand.

As the detection delved deeper, the blurry figure in the crystal gradually became clearer, with more detail.

Lei Lu muttered under his breath, continuously manipulating the white light to scan the soul's still unclear areas.

Horus stood by with a furrowed brow, murmuring quietly, "His Soul structure is peculiar, why are these parts so long... and there's no typical configuration of the Starfire Series..."

About seven clock hours later, the shadow in the crystal finally became crystal clear, each detail vivid and lifelike.

At a glance, it looked like a cloud covered in hairy tentacles, very bizarre.

Lei Lu shouted excitedly, "Good! Very good! I love strange challenges the most! Simans is blessing me!"

He turned off the Soul Crystal, the white light gradually dimmed.

Rod's figure appeared, a bit bemused, asking, "Is it done?"

Lei Lu smiled, "It's done, Rod, you truly are remarkable. Out of the souls in my hands, if not ten thousand, then eight thousand, you are the strangest, most eerie, most incomprehensible. I think you shouldn't be called Black Bucket, but Long-Haired Monster, with your soul surrounded by subtle, invisible long hairs, like tendrils receiving Spirit Realm fluctuations, truly unbelievable."

Rod stiffened, chuckling dryly, "Hahaha, really? I think Long-Haired Monster is a good name, better than Black Bucket!"

Horus's face darkened, "Don't talk nonsense! Rod, Black Bucket is now our banner and confidence, how can it be casually changed? I've already ordered the construction of a statue with the words Black Bucket on the Dead Ash Mountain Range cliff; if nothing goes wrong, these words can last for at least a million years."

At that moment, Rod felt an unbearable pain.

He covered his face, not wanting to say a word.

Lei Lu, not noticing Rod's discomfort, asked with anticipation, "Little Rod, you should know the significance of a Soul Weapon: it's an extension of your soul, a second life, a third leg. Its presence will greatly enhance your combat power, even achieving effects like turning stone into gold. Take Jelaba, the Fire Son, for instance—his Soul hammer completely liberated his characteristic, achieving his current combat strength."

"However, the creation of a Soul Weapon has no fixed form; every Soul Weapon is a unique existence. Therefore, I first want to ask you, what kind of Soul Weapon do you need? In your most perfect fantasy, what weapon do you wield?"
