The King of Black Fog

Chapter 95 Ants

A loud explosion burst above our heads, ringing in our ears.

Amidst the droning, another explosion could be vaguely heard, and the ceiling sifted down dust like a flour sieve.

Yafeiluna commanded the gray mist to block the staircase to the restaurant's basement kitchen;

The Polar Bear woman erected an ice wall in front of her, while the squirrel coiled around her ankles like a scarf.

The citizens huddled on the ground hugging their heads, trembling at the sound of the explosions and the sight of the two women and the squirrel before them.

The cannons suddenly ceased fire.

For a long while, as everyone began to feel a tinge of hope in their anxious hearts, Yafeiluna, with an ugly expression, said, "They've put down their guns and are getting ready for close combat."

In a fight, the gray mist could easily handle twenty against one, even if the opponents were soldiers.

But the enemy did not plan to fight twenty against one, thirty, forty, fifty... it could be any number, the bugs didn't care about their own.

Soon, Yafeiluna lost the sensation of one of the gray mists; it had been dispersed.

"Let's go! Let's go!" the squirrel shouted, "Let's get out of here first!"

Yafeiluna glanced at it with disdain but didn't hate it; without such things, how could she showcase her loyalty to the black mist, and how could she gain the black mist's favor?

Trash also has its uses, and cowards are always the best cheerleaders for the brave.

Three more strands of gray mist were dispersed, and the pressure on the remaining gray mist grew ever stronger.

Yafeiluna stole glances at the Polar Bear woman, this lazy Polar Bear with white hair, wondering when she would suggest fleeing.

"Polar Bear, you guys go ahead!" If the Polar Bear woman wouldn't speak up, she would!

Yafeiluna firmly stated, "This has nothing to do with you all. I will stay and explain to Lord Black Mist!"

The faithful squirrel, as expected, immediately urged the Polar Bear to escape. Of course, the main goal was to take it along.

The Polar Bear woman shook her head—suggesting a bear-like demeanor—and replied, "It's not time to run yet, I don't need to go."

Damn bitch, dead woman, stupid Polar Bear!

With her first plan failing, Yafeiluna had to come up with another on the spot.

She stared at the Polar Bear woman, slightly moved, then her expression became passionate, smiling and saying loudly, "Good! Let's hold out together until the last moment, until Lord Black Mist returns!"

Her red hair was wild and untamed, cascading messily over her shoulders, highlighting her proud chest.

The citizens hiding in the corner thought she looked just like a superhero from the movies, sexy and righteous.

Some time passed, and the soldiers had already made it to the staircase. Only five strands of gray mist were left desperately defending.

Just as Yafeiluna felt truly heavy-hearted, a thunderous roar suddenly erupted from the restaurant above, and everyone with hearing was paralyzed by the sound.

This true sense of paralysis felt as if real thunder had struck the body!

What was that? Was it a player?

In the midst of paralysis and deafness, a group of people walked into the underground entrance.

The man was tall and muscular, his face clear-cut, with lips that teased the hearts of women, and a smile that looked as if he was there to watch the chaos.

The stunningly beautiful woman he had his arm around was breathtakingly so, almost to the point of dizziness, now tenderly furrowing her brow and inserting a Blood Pearl between her cherry-blossom-pink lips;

On the man's right shoulder sat a white Snowy Owl that seemed embarrassed, as if... it was the one that had let out the Thunder Roar, startling the beautiful woman;

On the man's back lay a golden-haired, blue-eyed little girl, with a lollipop in her tiny mouth, excitedly holding a pot lid and shouting something.

Due to the ringing in their ears, it was unclear, but the Polar Bear woman could vaguely hear.

"Pot lid... its sound... can block... invincible!"

Following this odd group, a woman with brown hair walked in, holding a dachshund in her arms.

The woman's gait was akin to a drunkard's, obviously another victim of the Thunder Roar.

The dachshund, too, either by nature or from being stunned by the roar, lay motionless in the woman's arms, only the slight heaving of its chest indicating it was still alive.

"Black—"

An ecstatic Yafeiluna, just about to burst into jubilant sound, was preempted by other players who, with wailing voices, finished her thought.

"Lord Black Mist! You've finally arrived!" The damned squirrel rushed forward, attempting to rub against Lord Black Mist's shoes.

Li Changzhou kicked the sobbing squirrel away and surveyed the basement kitchen with one sweeping look.

"Gather everyone together," he instructed Yafeiluna.

"Yes!"

It appeared that Lord Black Mist preferred steady subordinates over those who regarded him as the Savior.

Using "Photo Transmission," Li Changzhou led everyone out of the encirclement, directly to a hospital where Li Qianxia had secretly placed his photo.

Then, they randomly found a car on the road and drove to a wooden house surrounded by open, flat land to regroup once again.

Upon entering, Li Qianxia immediately started massaging Yang Qinglan's shoulders and back, apologizing for the ordeal with "Thunder Roar."

Thankfully, the Skill had been downgraded from B to C, otherwise, with Yang Qinglan's Constitution, at such close range... let alone her, even Li Changzhou couldn't have withstood it.

Yang Qinglan, maintaining a cold facial expression, pretended to be angry and pushed her hands away, sitting across the red pine dining table with Li Changzhou.

Li Qianxia followed like a duckling, continuing to massage her.

"Lord Black Mist," Yafeiluna said with a serious tone, "This squirrel deliberately led us to danger, I think it's necessary to punish it!"

"No, no, it wasn't like that! I just wanted to find other players quickly, I didn't think much before coming back!" the squirrel pleaded desperately.
