The King of Black Fog

Chapter 83: Confrontation

"Die!" the Czar Princess sneered as she lifted her hand.

Boom!

Overwhelming, invisible telekinesis raged like a high-speed train barreling through.

Dust filled the air; the gap in the damaged wall smoothed out, and the chaotic rocks underfoot vanished without a trace.

As the dust settled, the Western-style building made of square bricks on the east side of the warehouse was neatly cut out like by a compass, leaving a perfectly round hole.

And those people, like rocks in the sea, stood firm amidst the waves of telekinesis.

The middle-aged European woman held up her wooden pot lid, blocking all the attacks, while the rest, like chicks caught by an eagle, hid behind this mother hen.

"Impossible!" Bi's face turned extremely ugly.

Although she had been deceived by that damn Li Changzhou and Yang Qinglan and captured by them at one time, she had firm belief that as long as she had lollipops, her strength was absolutely invincible!

Now, to be... blocked by a broken pot lid?!

"I told you," Yang Qinglan spoke calmly, not surprised in the least, "you won't regret working with us."

"Like in the current situation," Li Changzhou added.

"Eating candy all the time is bad for your teeth, and a mouth full of cavities doesn't make a pretty girl," Yang Qinglan continued.

"With us, you only need to eat candy when fighting," Li Changzhou supplemented.

The face of the Czar Princess grew even fouler.

Husband and wife... no, the duo scared the child together; the survivors facing them, however, were not as calm and collected on the surface as they appeared to be.

The bear man was breaking out in cold sweat;

Jiang consoled the magazine incessantly, "It's okay now, it's okay, nothing will happen."

The squirrel trembled all over, and the housewife—Taoli—trembled along with it.

The girl with the duckbill cap was so frightened that she swallowed her bubble gum and was shivering as she pulled out a new piece from her jeans.

That furious, invincible power had just brushed past them, its stimulating effect almost like lying on the train tracks and letting a train roll over one's body.

Their hearts were still thumping along with the bang-bang-bang of the train, pounding and trembling non-stop like their bodies had been struck by lightning.

Amid the humming of propellers, a few more drones descended from the night sky.

"Cooperation?" Wang Donghua's voice remained flat.

Li Changzhou shifted his gaze from Bi, first estimating the number of drones outside by looking at those present, then he turned to Taoli.

"Just by this pot lid?" he laughed.

"This is the foundation," Wang Donghua said.

"Oh?"

"The most important thing is, the situation in the city is dire."

"Hasn't it always been that way?" Li Changzhou smiled.

"You don't understand," Wang Donghua said quietly, "the number one player that the game officials haven't announced controls all the government officials in Prague; the police and army have already gathered in the old city district."

"So what?" Li Changzhou remained unmoved.

"Hey, handsome!" the girl with the duckbill cap stepped forward, "Tens of thousands of people with guns and tanks—are you not afraid?"

After a brief pause, Li Changzhou laughed, "It's okay, I guess."

The girl with the duckbill cap stumbled as gravity seemed to disappear from the ground, and Li Changzhou's force pulled her toward him, flying across.

"Ah!" the girl with the duckbill cap felt a chill throughout her body.

She kicked her legs in panic and reached out to grasp the ground, but the floor had been smoothed by telekinesis, reflecting like a mirror, offering her no hope.

Caught off guard, none of her teammates reacted in time, and for some reason, Wang Donghua didn't order the drones to fire.

By the time the bear man and the others caught on, the girl with the duckbill cap, "launched" out three meters, had already stopped sliding and was suspended between the two groups.

She scrambled back to Taoli, screaming as she ran.

Taoli gripped the pot lid nervously, unsure and anxious, wondering if it could block that strange power like before.

The few people behind her didn't even dare to show their heads, wishing they could turn from little chicks into eggs and hide within the mother hen's feathers.

"What's the matter with you?" Li Changzhou and Yang Qinglan stared at the Czar Princess.

"Huh?" Bi looked confused.

"Why didn't you pull her over when you had such a good opportunity?" Li Changzhou asked.

"How am I supposed to..." She began, but the Czar Princess fell silent halfway through.

She was annoyed in her heart, but she also had no idea that they were about to make a move.

While she was annoyed, she also faintly felt that she really did need to cooperate with them, and not just temporarily, but for a long term.

'Telekinesis' was very powerful, but still not sufficient on its own; combat was dangerous and unpredictable, not solely reliant on strength.

If Li Qianxia, perched on Li Changzhou's shoulder, wasn't an owl, she'd be laughing so hard by now that tears would stream down her face, and her stomach would be hurting.

Couldn't Li Changzhou handle a person who was attacked by 'Attract And Repel' by himself?

She could guess what her brother and Qing Lan had been up to with Bi while she was away.

So naughty!

"What about you?" At that moment, a drone turned towards Yafeiluna. "Maria Yafelona, if your instinct isn't afraid of bullets, then you're my target."

Yafeiluna glanced at Li Changzhou and said, "The decision of Lord Black Mist is my decision."

"No room for negotiation?" Wang Donghua asked Li Changzhou.

Li Changzhou picked up the Czar Princess and threw her onto his back: "Use the Telekinesis Shield."

"Hmph!" Bi wrapped her legs around his waist, and an invisible telekinetic sphere enveloped them.

"Take cover." Li Changzhou said to Yafeiluna as he flicked his right hand, sliding the beak of the emerald bird hidden in his sleeve into his palm.

Thin and narrow, the edge so sharp that it seemed to pierce the air, the Male Emerald Bee Sword.

The drones fired simultaneously, tongues of flame spitting out, and the yellow, brassy bullets clinked as they struck.

Jiang took the opportunity to peek out, his right hand formed into a claw, palm downward, aiming at Li Changzhou.

But just as his ability was about to activate, he staggered and fell forward as if off a building, his body hitting the girl in the duckbill cap who in turn collided with Taoli.

The lid in Taoli's hand went crashing toward the ground.

In the crook of Li Changzhou's left arm, Yang Qinglan's blue eyes were watching them.

The eagle catches the chick, it's also a game of dominoes.

The Czar Princess Bi's eyes brightened, just as she was about to make a move, the figures in front of her vanished.

"They're still in the same spot." Yang Qinglan could hear the intense heartbeats.

Li Changzhou uttered an interested "Oh?" the next moment, he turned into a shadow and whisked away.

The Emerald Bee Sword slashed, drawing a horizontal line across the space where Taoli and the others had been.

The sword felt three barely detectable resistances.

Li Changzhou flicked his wrist, the tip of the Emerald Bee Sword sank thirty centimeters, and he turned to make another cut.

Four barely detectable resistances.

A kerosene lamp rolled away, revealing Taoli and the others back in Li Changzhou's line of sight.

Taoli, lying on the ground, had her back sliced open like a lid, still fused together except for a line of blood;

A bloodline, just like a red string, connected the girl in the duckbill cap's left ear, the wing of her nose, her right ear, the back of her head;

Jiang Tai'an lay supine, hugging an adult magazine, blood pearls oozing from his forehead, the tip of his nose, and his chin;

The red line that appeared on the duckbill cap girl's face also encircled the bear man's waist, making a full loop.

Aside from a few bloodlines and scattered blood pearls, there were no other wounds on the four of them, they looked strikingly lifelike.

With a flick of her finger, Bi caught the lid flying towards her, now holding it in her hand.

"Mine!" she declared, excited.

"Say that again." Li Changzhou waved the Emerald Bee Sword, flicking a few blood pearls onto the ground.
