The King of Black Fog

Chapter 55: Gym

Before leaving, Yang Qinglan instructed, "When you auction off Identity Cards in the future, don't just focus on buying those with strong skills, and especially don't use skills you've plundered right in front of the authorities."

"Mm, got it," Li Changzhou nodded.

It was precisely for this reason that he had learned "Concentration," "Control Dopamine," "Skin Enhancement," and "Healing," which were skills that were relatively less likely to be exposed.

Yang Qinglan could see through him, as she herself said, because Li Changzhou hadn't intended to hide from her, and of course, there were also reasons that she had always been watching him.

Li Changzhou had no intention of hiding this thought.

If the three of them formed a team, getting exposed would be a matter of time. Were they supposed to keep hiding their skills and not use them? Or perhaps disband the team?

It wasn't anything shameful; Life Forms with white Identity Cards were all over the world. He wasn't unusual, just an ordinary person.

The next evening, he dug another 30 meters, and on Tuesday, he did morning exercises, attended classes (organized materials, conceived skill combinations), trained, and dug holes.

By Wednesday, after the morning classes, the trio ate Spicy Pot in the second cafeteria.

Shrimp, lotus roots, potatoes, luncheon meat, beef balls, inkfish balls, crab sticks, konjac, cauliflower, enoki mushrooms, shiitake, lettuce, quail eggs.

A small half pot was filled with ingredients, all covered in chili-colored sauce, then sprinkled with a handful of white sesame seeds, and garnished with a small bunch of bright green coriander.

Li Qianxia's pearly white teeth bit into a crisp slice of lotus root, then she picked up two bites of rice with her chopsticks.

The sound of "shh, shh" could be heard from her mouth.

"So spicy!" she exclaimed with satisfaction as she took a deep drink of yogurt.

"Why eat spicy if you can't handle it?" Yang Qinglan asked.

"Spicy Pot, Spicy Pot, it's got to be both numbing and spicy! Ugh! This luncheon meat is not good! Here, bro, you worked hard tonight, eat some more."

Li Qianxia placed a piece of luncheon meat she had bitten into Li Changzhou's bowl.

Under Li Changzhou's indifferent gaze, she spoke while drinking her yogurt, "If you don't eat it, it's because you despise me."

He really wanted to bury her on the spot when he was digging the base.

What was the point of having a biological sister? Was it a matter of righteousness over familial ties?

...

...

In Ming City's Yongle District, Eternal Fitness Gym.

"Boss, what's up with calling us over today?" one of them asked.

"I appreciate everyone's hard work today," Lou Yong said with a smile to the three coaches.

These three were not ordinary coaches who helped female customers lose weight or accompanied male customers in muscle training; they were truly experienced individuals with extraordinary backgrounds.

It was also after the Value game that Lou Yong had taken out his savings from over the years and pulled some strings to finally manage to bring them here.

Originally, he wanted to train himself, but it turned out to be a good opportunity to meet other players. The money was well spent.

"Lou Boss, what's the occasion?" the only female among them asked with a smile.

"In a moment, a valuable guest will be visiting our gym, and I hope everyone can showcase their real skills to retain them!"

"Ho, valuable guest? How valuable?" the older of the two men asked with a curious tone, his attitude casual.

"The status isn't necessarily high, nor are they necessarily very wealthy, but to me, they are an absolute valuable guest, all three of you..."

His phone suddenly rang. Lou Yong didn't think much of it and was about to continue speaking after a glance, but his expression changed instantly upon seeing the caller ID.

"Wait a moment, I need to take this call."

Lou Yong first chatted with the person on the phone in a corner of the gym, then suddenly ran out of the fitness center, leaving the three coaches utterly baffled.

"What's going on?" the casual man asked, puzzled.

"Who knows? Let's just wait," the woman said with a laugh as she wrapped bandages around her hands.

Su Su, a name that might suggest a sweet and cute girl, but to some people, it sent shivers down their spine.

The woman began practicing on a punching bag by herself, her fierce attacks continuously landing on the bag.

The punching bag, fixed to the overhead rail, swayed like a tree battered by a storm.

The two other men watching her had more serious expressions than before.

Among connoisseurs there are levels of expertise, and this woman, Su Su, surpassed the two men in both bodily stability and the ruthlessness of her kicks and punches.

This was no ordinary person, but however much the two men searched, they couldn't find the name Su Su among the combat competition contestants.

"Is this the place?" Voices came from the front desk of the gym.

The three turned their heads to see three young men who looked like college students walking in.

Looking at their appearance and demeanor, the three coaches immediately realized that these must be the special guests the boss had mentioned.

"Eternal Fitness Gym? Lou Yong has more ambition than me," the only male among them said with a smile.

Su Su's gaze was involuntarily drawn to him.

Handsomely featured, with a laid-back and casual tone, and a clear aura—if he were in America, he could run for President just on the strength of his looks.

"Your ambition to destroy the world isn't low either."

The other two male trainers had their eyes locked on the female colleague.

One was a handsome, sunny girl with a ponytail; the other was exceptionally beautiful with a cool and indifferent temperament—too stunning for words.

"Has the fight already started?" Li Changzhou noticed the swaying bag, his eyes lit up, and he zeroed in on Su Su with her hands wrapped in bandages.

"Should we try it out?" he said, itching to join in.

Su Su did not respond, but instead asked, "Are you the honored guests invited by boss Lou?"

"Whether we're honored guests or not I don't know, but we were invited by boss Crab," Li Qianxia spoke, her tone as pleasant as sunlight dancing through leaves.

"Boss Crab?" Su Su echoed unconsciously.

Li Qianxia chuckled to herself; Lou Yong's equipment were a pair of crab boxing gloves, and she had dubbed him "boss Crab" that very day.

"You're here?" Just as they mentioned Lou Yong, he arrived.

He was followed by six others.

Li Changzhou glanced over and saw Mu Rong, whom he had collaborated with before, among them; he only wondered about the five following her—whether they were assistants or other players.

The two male coaches stared wide-eyed at Mu Rong, who was wearing large sunglasses; they realized they had been mistaken—this was the real VIP!

Though Mu Rong was not a legendary star, if you asked who among the top three hottest actresses currently was, she would be on anyone's list.

Even Su Su couldn't help being momentarily surprised to see that Lou Yong actually knew Mu Rong.

"Nice to see you again. Hello," Mu Rong greeted Li Changzhou and the others proactively.

"Sister Mu Rong!" Li Qianxia immediately rushed over.

Mu Rong took off her sunglasses, greeted her with a smile, and the two hugged like close sisters, as though they had dearly missed each other after a long separation.

Li Changzhou: "?"

How on earth did Li Qianxia manage to get along so well with so many women?

However, he wasn't interested in that and said to Lou Yong, "Boss Lou, can I have a round with her?" He pointed at Su Su.

"Sure, no problem, that's what today's all about—sparring!" Boss Lou agreed on the spot before turning to Su Su and saying, "Be careful, Coach Su."

"Don't worry, boss," Su Su nodded.

"Miss Mu, Miss Yang, Miss Li, shall we go sit by the ring and enjoy the show?" Lou Yong then said to the three beautiful women.

Mu Rong looked towards Yang Qinglan and Li Qianxia; Yang Qinglan nodded.

A large group of people headed towards the ring.
