The King of Black Fog

Chapter 431: Giants and Dragons

In just three days, something went wrong on Longevity Star.

All life forms appeared in groups, even solitary beasts, street beggars, and old people without parents, partners, or children, all gathered together.

The transmission speed was astonishingly fast, and the way it spread only required conversation. The initial symptoms were so ordinary—just a love for chatting. By the time the authorities realized, the virus had already completely engulfed this planet.

Even though this was a highly advanced civilization, where personal power could reach the heavens and earth.

Had it not been for the fear of being discovered by Third Rank Divine Will Warriors, Tina could manipulate the entire planet's mortals (those below Immortal) with a single thought.

A First Rank daring to appear within a certain range of her would be courting death.

Even a Second Rank, daring to face her in battle, would find themselves unable to control the situation.

Longevity Star did not have a particularly distinctive architectural style; whatever looked good would be found here. Travelers could find the Spark Tower of the Light Clan as well as the tombs of the Ghost Clan and the Rainbow Floating Island of the Divine Race.

In an adventurer-style hotel constructed directly from a scrapped spacecraft.

"Found them." Tina opened her eyes, "The people from the transport ship are in the military cordon area. At one o'clock tonight, the Incubation Chamber will be sent to the central laboratory."

Kert frowned: "The central laboratory is within the Third Rank's line of sight. Once it is sent there, we'll have little chance again."

"Tina, continue gathering intelligence," the General said, "Pay close attention to whether the transport plan is a piece of deliberately spread news by the opponent."

Tina nodded and closed her eyes again.

This was a conference room with a strong ancient style. Everyone sat cross-legged, with the General at the head and the Princess sitting beside him.

Tina and Kert were on the lower left, while the person in charge holding a baby, along with her Guard, was on the right.

"The possibility of deliberately spreading the message is small," the person in charge said softly, "They don't know we are here."

"An inexperienced White Ring," the Princess chuckled, "The Divine Race is there, even if they don't know, they'd have seen it."

What's called the White Ring relies on blood packs to enhance the Formula Ring of the Huan Clan. If one wants to use this method to improve strength, one must have exceptional talent in a certain area.

As for the General and most of the Huan Clan, they are of the Blood Ring, relying on the slaughter of their own kind.

For a race to be called the Divine Race, their natural talent and ability must be extremely powerful.

"The Divine Race can't see all possibilities either," the General said.

The Princess looked at him: "Are you defending her?"

"Of course not." The General smiled, placing her hand on his knee, "I mean, regardless if it's a spreadable message or not, we must destroy the Incubation Chamber."

The Princess grasped his hand in return, pleased with his gesture.

She said: "Destroying the Incubation Chamber is easy; the hard part is how we escape after it's destroyed."

This is the most difficult point.

Even if the Divine Race didn't see the possibility of them destroying the Incubation Chamber, the worms spread in search of the Incubation Chamber already made Longevity Star highly alert.

"General," Kert lowered his head, "We can split into two groups: one to destroy the Incubation Chamber, and the other to capture a ship with jump capability. Even a Third Rank warrior can't catch us."

Saying it's impossible is too absolute, the key is to see what "Divine Will" the opponent specifically has.

But there are very few Divine Wills that can lock onto and catch up with a jump ship, the probability is extremely low. If we can't even bet on this, then we shouldn't be in the universe; everything has a risk.

"General, the information I found does not prove that this operation was deliberately revealed by the opponent." Tina opened her eyes, "I think Kert's proposal is feasible."

She continued: "Kert will go snatch the ship, I'll create chaos, the General, the Princess, and the two from the Life Ring will go destroy the Incubation Chamber."

Time is not plentiful; in the short term, there's no way to devise a more detailed plan.

Just as the General was about to approve this plan—

"If that's the case, why do we still have to destroy the Incubation Chamber?" the Guard suddenly said, "The Incubation Chamber not only contains genes, it has already formed babies inside, they are all our people."

"Kert, have her accompany you to grab the ship," the General said.

"Yes," Kert nodded in response.

The Guard looked at the General doubtfully, then frowned: "I must stay by Lan's side, my duty is to protect her."

"You do know your duty is to protect her?" Tina's voice was icy, devoid of even a trace of sarcasm, "Keeping the Incubation Chamber alive not only burdens us, but also makes the opponent go all out in pursuit. Do you want to endanger the target you are supposed to protect because of a single Incubation Chamber?"

The Guard was speechless.

"Xia, you take the child onto the ship first." The person in charge handed the baby to her, "You must protect this child well."

The Guard did not accept it, stating solemnly, "Lan, I was wrong just now, I will destroy the Incubation Chamber, I must stay by your side to protect you, that's my task."

"In my eyes, the child's life is more important than mine," the person in charge said, "As a member of the Life Ring, you should understand my feelings."

"I understand. I also know a child's life is very important, but my task is to protect you." The Guard still did not reach out to take the child.

"Let her go," the always observing General suddenly said, "Taking the task as more important than life, much like me."

"What resembles you is not me, but this child," the Guard retorted.

The Princess withdrew her hand from the General's knee.

The General smiled slightly: "What you said makes sense, so take the child to the ship. She is more important than you, than Lan, more important than all of us."

"You—"

The Guard hadn't finished speaking, when the Princess coldly interjected, "Is this child really so important? More important than even me?"
