The Janitor Who Was A Killer

Chapter 8: The Beginning

Mia stood in a dark room, the atmosphere heavy with tension. The leader of the organization, his face shrouded in darkness, sat across from her. His voice, calm yet menacing, broke the silence.

"Who killed Ethan?" he asked, his voice echoing in the gloom.

Mia's expression was nervous as she answered, "It was James... the famous killer."

For a long moment, the boss remained silent, his form barely visible in the shadows. Then, he asked again, his tone more deliberate. "Are you certain? It was really James?"

Mia, though nervous, nodded. "Yes, it was him."

The boss was silent again, the tension in the room thickening. Finally, he spoke. "Go and spy on him. Find out everything."

The next day, Mia walked through the school gates, her heart heavy with the weight of her mission. She spotted Vardan—his face emotionless, unreadable. As she walked through the halls, she couldn't help but notice how different he seemed, as if something in him had changed since the incident with the janitor and Ethan.

During break, Mia cautiously approached Vardan. He stared at her, his eyes cold and distant.

"Is it true?" Mia asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "What happened to the janitor and Ethan?"

Vardan's gaze didn't waver. "I buried their bodies somewhere no one will ever find them. The police won't get anywhere."

Mia hesitated, unsure of what to say. Then, Vardan stood up, his expression still unreadable. He fixed his gaze on her.

"Do you know how to join the organization?" he asked, his voice surprisingly calm.

Mia froze, shocked by the question. She hadn't expected him to ask that. Her mind raced, remembering the promise Vardan had made—to destroy the organization.

"If you were an orphan when you were a child," Mia began slowly, "the organization would have taken you in. But now… you're grown. They won't just let anyone in."

Vardan frowned, a slight edge to his voice. "Then how can I join?"

Mia looked at him, her mind working through the options. "To join, you need to defeat a bigger gang... a mafia. But even then, there's no guarantee the organization will accept you. They watch everyone. The organization's people are everywhere."

She paused, then continued, "I don't know much, really. I'm just a low-ranking killer. But I know that there are seven wings in the organization."

Vardan leaned in, his interest piqued. "Seven wings?"

Mia nodded. "To take down the boss, you have to defeat them first. They're incredibly strong."

Vardan's eyes narrowed. "But James was one of the seven wings. What happened to him?"

Mia's face grew somber as she spoke. "Yes, James was one of the seven wings, but he was removed by the new boss. The old boss created the organization to protect rich kids and eliminate gangs and mafias. But when the new boss took over and killed the old one, everything changed."

Vardan listened intently as Mia continued, her voice low and heavy with the weight of the truth. "The new boss used the organization for his own personal gain. The old seven wings didn't agree with him, so he removed them. Replaced them with new wings. He even put a high bounty on the old wings to prevent them from going against him."

Mia's face darkened. "The old wings went into hiding. They disguised themselves, but the organization found them one by one. They're being hunted down now."

Vardan asked quietly, "How many of the old wings are dead?"

Mia's gaze dropped. "Two of them. Including James."

Vardan stood still for a moment, the weight of this revelation settling in. His eyes hardened with determination.

"I'll take down the organization," he said, his voice steady and resolute. "I'll take down the new boss and find the remaining old wings."

Mia stared at him, shocked by his resolve. She never expected him to take it this far. "You… you can't be serious," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper.

Vardan turned to leave, his expression unwavering. "I'm serious. The organization won't stop until they've wiped out the old wings. But I won't let that happen. Not while I'm still breathing."

Mia watched him go, her thoughts swirling. She had never seen this side of Vardan before—the determination, the rage, the unwillingness to back down. And for the first time, she wasn't sure if he was someone she could stop.
