The Janitor Who Was A Killer

Chapter 11: The Aura

The next day, Vardan returned to school. His training with Johan was complete—or at least as complete as it could be for now. He carried himself differently, his posture straighter, his gaze sharper. Every step he took felt deliberate, filled with quiet confidence.

Mia noticed it immediately.

During the break, she approached him cautiously as he stood alone near the far side of the schoolyard, leaning against the wall, eyes fixed on the horizon.

"Vardan," Mia called softly.

He turned his head, meeting her eyes with a cold stare. His usual playful smirk was gone, replaced by calm intensity.

"What are you planning?" Mia asked, her voice laced with concern.

Vardan pushed off the wall, straightening his uniform. "I'm going to defeat the strongest gangster in the city," he said simply, as if it were just another routine task.

Mia's eyes widened. "What? Are you insane? Those guys... they're dangerous. Even the police don't mess with them."

"That's exactly why I have to do it," Vardan replied, stepping forward. "If I take them down, the organization will notice me. That's my way in."

Mia watched him carefully, searching his face for any trace of doubt or hesitation. There was none.

"You know how reckless that sounds, right?" she asked, lowering her voice. "The organization isn't something you can just walk into."

"I know," Vardan said, his voice unwavering. "But if I don't start somewhere, I'll never get close to them. I won't stop until I destroy them all."

He began to walk away, leaving Mia standing alone, her heart pounding.

As he passed by other students, they instinctively moved aside, sensing something different about him—an aura that hadn't been there before.

Mia felt it too.

It wasn't just confidence.

It was the same dangerous energy she'd felt from James.

And for the first time, she realized that Vardan was no longer just a student.

He was becoming something else.
