The Infinite Pantheon

Happy new year, I hope you had a fantastic year. Let us welcome 2025 with a smile because my mom used to tell me that the way you greet the new year will be your predominant expression for the rest of the year. I hope this chapter put a smile on many of your faces, I wish you, and this novel a good rest of the year.

{ 3 months later}

I have done nothing with my life except just sit there and eat, after the power outage of the New York city police and shield has been trying to find who caused it. Of course, they have not found it out yet since I left no visible marks and have not gone out to do much the past days. I look at the news to see that tony stark has come back from his kidnappers, the ironman plot is going along perfectly but it is time for me however to go to Kamar-Taj. 

I don't know where the tesseract is located, all I know is that it is with a shield but loki will steal it. I plan to steal it from Loki but I ran into a problem with that plan, since I don't have a gauntlet or any material strong enough to handle the power of infinity stones. "Endless, how big is my energy absorption pool? Can I absorb infinite energy?" I asked 

[You have an infinite absorption pool but you can't absorb infinite energy since it is infinite energy. The more you absorb the more they will be so it will be a source of endless power.] 

I see, so I can use my body as an infinity stone holder and use the power of the infinity stones. As for why I have to go to Kamar-taj, of course to get the infinity stones but it will be a pain since the old one or whatever her name is. She is focused on Doctor Strange, so it will be a pain to get into her notice. 

*BOOOM* 

The entire building collapsed as an explosion rang in the world. I used my energy manipulation to fly out and rescued myself before seeing that it was the hulk and abomination who were fighting each other. Fuck, I forgot about the hulk. Maybe I can absorb them right now, nah I can't do that to my guy hulk. 

"Help" I heard someone screaming as I looked around to see the destruction ensued by the hulk, I immediately jumped to help. It can't be helped even though I am not a superhero, I can't just ignore someone asking for help. I am a god, and maybe it is partially due to me trying to be a good god. I quickly found the person asking for help, he was a 8 year old boy kneeling before a woman who I assume is his mother. 

I got picked him up and said "I will get you to safety" 

"What about my mother?"

I looked at her unmoving mother with her head stuck behind a rock, I gently rubbed his hair and said "It is too late" before getting him to safety with the maximum speed allowed. I continued to help others, when I was getting another kid to the safe point beyond the army a stone came huddling at me as an accident by the abomination. It was too late to dodge, I saw as it neared me I tried to blow it away by using energy but to no avail as I used up all of it already with my constant fight and tempering my body to peak human level.

I looked hopeless at the rock, before an idea came into my mind. I put one hand at the incoming rock but instead of trying to stop it, I put my mind into absorbing the kinetic energy. It worked as the stone stopped in its tracks before being destroyed by a blast, why didn't I think of that before? I am such an idiot. I flew again but this time much faster and more efficiently since the air resistance was applying the force of fiction which I can absorb, thus removing air resistance. I am not a physics student so I don't know what will happen with my body or these kids so I put an armor of energy around me.

After I got all the surviving people to safety, I looked at the fight. It was time to stop it, since I can't have two hulking mongrels destroy my city. I saw that the hulk and abomination were running towards each other with punches so I leap in between them and hold their punches. Usually, my arms would have been broken and my body crushed to mush but by absorbing kinetic energy in them I completely nullified the power of their strength. I felt a rush of energy that instantly recovered my exhausted energy from the previous 3 months.

I am back in my prime, hulk and the abomination were surprised at this but quickly overcame it. They pulled their fists back but I held onto them using my energy to enhance my strength somewhat, yet I failed. It seems I underestimated their strength, so I quickly got out of the way and let the punches which were meant for me hit each other instead. I then shot lazer beams at them from a distance, abomination annoyed at this, took an iron poll and threw it at me which I dodged but was not able to dodge the hulk attack. 

I was given a hulk clap straight to the face with no mercy, thankfully I covered myself with energy or it would have been over for me. Hulk then threw me down to the ground and landed on him using his feet. My energy barrier showed signs of being damaged as I got up and glared at both of them. I was at my patience end with both of them, not only did I get jumped in the middle of my planning. I was forced to reveal my powers to everyone without any mask on so everyone in the world knew who I was. I quickly used my energy, as my eyes started to glow with it, I absorbed the previous kinetic energy from the clap but not the fall.

It was a weakness I discovered, I can only absorb energy I can touch so if someone attacked my back I would not be able to match them. So that is the reason why I created the barrier, anyways back to the current topic my eyes glowed with yellow light as a yellow mist like substance floated around me. All the objects lying around started to move, "Ergo-Telekinesis" I said as the surrounding matter transformed into a giant ball which encased both of them. Although, I did try not to hurt them. 

However, they broke through the matter as abomination was worse off than hulk. Abomination was panting and exhausted, as I then just dragged him near me and absorbed the gamma radiation inside him. He was forced to turn back into a human which I sent an energy clone to get him to rescue. I then looked at hulk with my eyes still blazing, hulk who was more angry and thus more powerful roared before jumping onto me. 

I was truly pissed at this point as I flew towards him in a ray of light, he did not get a chance to react as I continuously punched him into space. When he was trying to adapt but I would not let him, I grabbed him by his hair and started to clean the space around earth. Every single trash metal was transformed into hundreds of needles and rods that were stuck onto hulk. I then collected every single ounce of energy in my body into a giant ball which was shot at hulk like a laser, it threw him back into New york city. When hulk crashed into the part of the city he destroyed, he was still stuck and unable to move. I slowly floated down as I look at the hulk getting anger, I said "Enough, hulk"

He just stared at me angrily and glowed, "I said enough. It is over, the abomination is gone don't worry I will not give you to the military" I continued, "I know you are afraid of that" this seems to have broken something in hulk as broke free of the iron rods he punched me, his fist the size of my body. I quickly stopped it by absorbing the energy but he did not and let out all of his anger at me. I just took all those punches, it was an all you can eat buffet and I can eat a lot, I when hulk finally calmed down enough and looked at me. 

I just stood there clam as hell, in fact I had more energy than ever and I could even feel things that were not possible earlier, if I were to let out all this energy as heat then it would be comparable to a small sun. Small but still a fucking sun.
