The hivemind is conquering for me?

Chapter 635: Haematology

As the lesson got underway, I had put half of all the blood collected within my supercomputer for individual analysis, the rest was the topic of today's 'lesson.' Everyone was going to be using a series of machines to extract their DNA from their blood, but first.

"Jason, give me a hand setting up this thingamabob, tech isn't my strong suit." I requested.

Jason, jumped surprised to suddenly be called on, he had been distracted by all the emotions he was seeing today. A lot of people were full of love and happiness, it made him feel miserable for himself.

However he walked over and realised what the 'thingamabob' was. It was just a high powered microscope with a display port. He had seen these dozens of times, especially in... Jason turned to Althea who must have also realised what it was also met his eye and promptly flipped him off before looking away in disgust.

Jason simply sighed and got on with the task, he realised reconciliation was pointless until he found the cure for his friend.

While Jason was setting up the thingy, I started placing small amounts of blood onto slides and labeling them so I wouldn't forget. I saw a couple of samples that were darker than I would consider healthy, but looking in a moment would confirm or deny that. Once I was done with all their samples, I decided for fun to scare everyone and bit the end of my thumb to add some of my own blood.

As I finished my task, Jason, the tech genius, also finished his task and I got into explaining why everyone was standing around for five minutes. "Ok, so first thing first about this subject. Body health. If your body isn't healthy to start with, the gene science isn't going to work and might exacerbate any conditions you might have or might develop. As we continue our deep dive into our self improvement, we will look at each body part individually, but just for today, we will take a look at our blood. Later on, I am sure you with Science backgrounds will know how to find your DNA within your blood, but for now. I am going to look at each of your bloods and see what is happening. Who knows, I might be in for a pleasant surprise.

Mithra then put up her hand, and having a hunch at what she was going to say, I answered. "Yes, I am showing you my blood as well."

Mithra's mouth opened, shocked that I had the foresight to guess what she was going to say and she simply put her hand back down.

I then remembered to ask something. "Oh, quick show of hands, who has seen a Psionic individual's blood under a microscope before?

Only Jason, Althea and Mithra raised their hands. "Ok, for everyone else, you might see something more than just red and white blood cells. So no need to worry. Ok, let's start with... Pericles."

Placing the slide with Pericles blood into the machine, next to it a large screen activated and on it was a series of red circles. I immediately frowned seeing what was before me, something Yvonne picked up on as she held her partner's arm hard.

"Is-Is something wrong with my pookems?"

I shook my head. "Nothing wrong, well nothing that can't be fixed. First of all, his red blood cells are a little small and do you see all those little dots all around? He has a high amount of platelets, though with his power to stretch his body, I am not surprised by that. He is also iron deficient. Hailey, can you get him another one of those drinks for me?"

I then looked over everything and realising I was being silent, I then spoke up again. "Ok, So what I am looking at here is a healthy man, with just a few things he needs to tweak on. His red blood cells are breaking up into platelets too much due to him being stretchy. I now know that for his personal enhancement formula, we need to strengthen his cells more than average and allow greater flexibility for them. This is trivial for me to do, but like I said, you will be making your own formulas with my guidance. Pericles. For now, try to limit your stretching to necessity and eat more meat."

The stoic man simply nodded his head before turning to his partner. "I am fine, now please let go of my arm before you break the bone."

I ignored as the two of them got into a whispering argument and moved onto the next person.

"Ok, Morrigan you are up." I declared and the moment I put the slide into the device, my mouth went wide.

"W-What is it?" Morrigan stammered out, and briefly glanced towards the exit in case he somehow knew.

I looked over the blood for a moment, resisting the urge to get a science boner again. "I have never seen such 'perfect' looking blood before. Everything is exactly how it should be. Nothing over, nothing under. Everything is amazing. As someone with my science as their power, I suppose that makes sense, but still... Wow. It's almost too perfect, you know? It's like it's artificial. If I was to create a random humans blood from scratch with only the knowledge in my head, this is what it would roughly look like. Incredible."

"Thank you darling, I will take the compliment wholeheartedly. I do try my best to live healthily after all." Morrigan said politely, but internally she was freaking out. 'He surmised all of that with just a glance! He is dangerous!'

'He is sexy~'

'Super smart!'

"So, for blood of this health, I would simply advise a booster, increasing vitality... Morrigan, don't blame me if I come to you with needles in the future. This is some serious gourmet shit right here."

Deciding to move on for my own sake, I moved onto Jason, then Althea. Both of them were also healthy, but I noticed both had a lower white blood cell count than I would consider baseline. Both even called that out themselves upon seeing the bloods, clearly both knowing what they were seeing the entire time.

As I was setting up the next slide, Mindy suddenly chimed up and asked. "Apollo? You keep on mentioning the blood cells, but isn't there plasma in blood? Where is that?"

Before I could answer, Althea who was sitting next to her replied. "Do you remember all the stuff the cells were floating in? That's the plasma."

"Oh." Mindy said, feeling a little dumb. But a moment later she felt less so.

"Is that the same stuff that gets fired out of plasma weapons? Is that why the shots are pink? Eww." Yvonne asked, grossing herself out with her thoughts.

Hailey then chimed in, silencing everyone with her regal authority. "No, plasma weapons are different. We use ionized hydrogen for our weapons as it is cheap and readily available. The colour of that just so happens to be pink. No blood is used. If we used more expensive plasma such as xenon, it can change to a different colour." She then looked at me with a knowing look while I lamented.

'I miss my alien minigun.'

Before things could get further off the rails, I slotted in Yvonne's slide and was immediately delighted. "Here we go. This is what I was talking about earlier when I mentioned if anyone had seen Psionic blood before. There it is!" I said, pointing at a tiny clear dot that everyone else got closer to see.

"W-What is it Apollo?" Yvonne asked, grabbing her partner's arm again in worry.

I noticed her expression and put her at ease before I had to grow Pericles a new arm. "Nothing to worry about, in fact, you should be celebrating. This thing here. Is Psionic energy. Psionic energy that had formed together and has now become a part of your blood. This is huge This means that your potential for Psionics is incredible. It means you are in tune with your current Psionic to an impressive degree. You understand how it works and in return it is empowering you. This is most likely why you are stronger than the average human, even without using your power... However, I have just noticed you are also iron deficient. Hmm. You two need to change your diet."

Yvonne looked at me confused, I thought she was going to ask about the Psionics, but instead she stated. "But we have been on a diet? We follow a celebrity from our star system who tells us about her diet and how healthy it is. Look, I will show you, come here!"

The woman then pulled my upper body into her own and kept hold of me rather firmly as she pulled out her communicator. I was then shown a woman, who was basically a stick insect, and not the kind I would find attractive, talking about her sub three hundred calorie diet. Yvonne then smiled at me. "See! It's healthy."

I then sighed, placed the rest of the slides to one side for the time being and went on a tangent about the difference between fad dieting and the importance of actually eating what your body needs.
