Chapter 121: Is this a rescue mission or are we fighting?
"Okay, remember, I'm Bulldog, Gwen is Screech, Amaya is Zoomies, Sasha is shortstack, Nadya is honeybun, and Kyana is no-face. Got it?" Kai asked as he looked at his teammates.
All of them were now wearing disguises that he got from his status window. He made sure Kyana wore a mask so no one would notice that it was her.
"Where the hell did you get these clothes?" Kyana asked as she examined it.
Kai slapped her fat ass. "Don't worry about it. Let's go."
The six of them walked up to the gate, being stopped by the two guards stationed there.
"Password." They demanded.
"Polly wants a cracker," Kai spoke in a parrot's voice.
The guards looked at each other with a 'Why the fuck did he say it that way?' expression.
"U-Uh, yeah. You're legit. I'll open the gate.
"Wait!" The other guard stopped his coworker. "I haven't seen you guys before. What are your names?"
"Ahh, you haven't seen us before because we're new hommie. I'm shortstack. People call me that because I make people short by cutting off their legs, and I stack them on top of each other."
He pointed to Gwen. "That's Zoomies. She's fucking crazy, yo!" He then nodded at Amaya. "You see her? That's honeybun. Wanna know why? Because her thighs are so thick that she'll crush anyone's head between them. Death by snu-snu. Yessir!"
The guards were utterly confused by the names, and Kai's girls were extremely embarrassed.
"You see her? The dwarf? She's Screech. Fuck with her, and she'll SCREECH in your ear, man. The quiet one right there, human girl, she's no-face. You see that blank expression on her face? That's why she's no-face."
At this point, the guards just wanted to get this over with.
"And finally, this one right here." Kau wrapped his arm around Kyana. "This is Bulldog. She's a feisty one. We keep that mask on her because she'll bite your face off if it's off. She's a bulldog for a reason, you dig?"
"Did he just get all of our names wrong?" Gwen asked while whispering to the others.
"Yes, yes, he did."
"O-Okay, I get it. You can go inside now." The guards opened the door and the six of them walked in without any trouble.
"Ha! See, I told you it would work! So easy."
Kyana rolled her eyes. "You need help."
"You're just no fun," Kai argued.
"We need to find that Cloak guy. If we find him, then we find The Wolf."
"I know where he is." Kai pointed to the largest building in the fort. "He's right over there. That's probably where The Wolf is, too. I bet he's going to tell him that something happened back in Crestfield."
Amaya's hands turned to claws. "Bet! Let's storm that bitch!"
"Now you're talking!" Kay agreed.
"Wait. I want to rescue the people who were falsely enslaved here. They don't deserve to be put through something like this." Kyana placed her hand on Kai's shoulder, hoping he would agree with her.
"Fine. We'll split up into two groups of three. Kyana, Sasha, and Nadya, you're together. Gwen, Amaya, and I will infiltrate the main building."
Kai used his mana sense and x-ray vision to locate the place where the soon-to-be slaves were being kept.
"They're over there." Kai pointed to a building. "There should be an elevator that leads to a lower level in that building. You'll find people locked up there."
"Thank you." Kyana removed her mask and kissed Kai on the lips. "Let's go."
---
"Kai pointed to this building, right?" Kyana asked Sasha.
"Yeah. But I have no idea what an elevator is. Do you?" Sasha asked Nadya
"No. That was the first time I heard that word."
When they entered the building, multiple people were sitting around, counting money, preparing slave collars and contracts, and chatting among one another.
"I count twenty of them. Sasha, you get ten and I'll get ten. Nadya, you watch our backs."
"Got it."
"Sure."
Nadya buffed the two of them, and they stormed into the room, knocking out every person there within ten seconds.
"That was easy."
"Now let's look for this so-called elevator."
Nadya dragged all the knocked-out people into a corner while Sasha and Kyana tore down walls, shelves, and other things until they found a secret wall that opened to reveal a paternoster lift.
"Oh! Kai probably meant a lift. How the heck did he get the word elevator when talking about a lift?" Kyana wondered as she boarded the lift.
Sasha and Nadya boarded the lift as well, and they rode on it until it descended into the secret basement.
"This...I remember this." Kyana's body started shaking in anger. She remembered being locked in this basement behind bars, trying her hardest to escape, but to no avail.
She remembered other people who had been down there longer than her who simply gave up on ever escaping. She even remembered little kids crying for their moms and dads, the sight of that breaking her heart.
"This place is more like a dungeon than a basement. Look at all those cells!" Sasha was baffled by how large the basement was. There were hundreds of cells, and in each of them, there were at least five people. This meant that the total number of people imprisoned here could be well over a thousand.
"This is so horrible." Nadya clenched her fist out of anger.
Kyana stepped out of the lift. "Come, let's help them out."
They ran down the hall to find the key to the cells because Kyana knew that the bars were made out of an anti-magic material. No guards were on standby, which made sense because this entire fort was fortified, and everyone who lived here worked here as well.
At the end of the hall was a door that led to the office that held the documents of every person in each cell. Kyana busted down the door, expecting someone to be sorting through papers or doing some other task, but when she saw the person sitting in the office, she froze.
