Chapter 217- It’s My Fault
Inside the Pavilion, everyone froze for a second when they saw the Academy Leader glance in their direction.
"He's not looking at us, right?"
Mar-Dule asked skeptically, thinking he would be laughed at for asking such an outlandish question.
Why would the Academy Leader look at them?
However, seeing that no one was laughing, Mar-Dule's heart began to beat faster.
As everyone was wondering why the Academy Leader was looking at them, his figure suddenly appeared in the air, floating a few dozen meters away from them.
He was keeping his distance.
"Hiccup!"
Mar-Dule released his loudest hiccup yet as he leaped back out of sheer terror.
Sol and the others reacted the same.
"Amitabha, this old man didn't mean to scare you kids."
"Greetings to the Academy Leader."
Sol quickly recovered and said as he cupped his fist while bowing.
Everyone jolted and followed his lead.
The Academy Leader nodded with a hum of acknowledgment. He was looking at everyone with interest, like someone of the older generation admiring the younger generation. But his gaze suddenly paused on Sol.
"Child, why are you so injured? Even your soul has suffered some minor damage."
Sol inwardly panicked.
He was trying his best to hide his injuries, but at one glance, the Academy Leader saw through him.
Outwardly, Sol smiled embarrassingly and scratched his cheek.
"Academy Leader, I was careless. I rushed, opening one of my acupoints, and suffered a backlash. I had a splitting headache ever since then, but thanks to the Academy Leader, I know now it's from my soul being damaged."
"Amitabha, you're already so talented, but yet you still work so hard. Solovin, was it? I wish there were more disciples like you and Byeong-Ho in my Academy."
The Academy Leader glanced at Byeong-Ho as he said that last sentence.
Byeong-Ho cupped his fist and said nothing.
The Academy Leader's subtle attempt to get Byeong-Ho to join the Martial Alliance Academy was politely rejected.
The Academy Leader shook his head in regret but soon forgot about it.
Turning his attention back to Sol, the Academy Leader raised his finger.
'He's trying to inspect your body.'
Abdu's voice entered Sol's mind.
"Ah, Academy Leader, you don't have to heal me, I have my Innate Dharma to help me. I don't want to trouble the Academy Leader."
The Academy Leader paused before lowering his hand.
He nodded and then said.
"Amitabha, it seems I'm being rejected a lot today. Will you reject my offer to see this pet beast as well?"
The Academy Leader suddenly turned to look at the sleeping Little Zeel in Yoon-Jae's arms.
Sol hesitated.
The Academy Leader's words were too conniving.
The Academy Leader nodded, taking Sol's hesitation as agreement. He then motioned his hand, and Little Zeel flew towards him.
He was so shameless in his actions that Yoon-Jae didn't even have time to hold onto Little Zeel.
"What a strange Spirit Beast."
The Academy Leader said as Little Zeel stopped and floated in front of him.
Sol held his tongue and clenched his fist upon seeing this. He didn't want to be disrespectful.
However, the Academy Leader suddenly raised his hand and placed a finger on Little Zeel's forehead.
Sol couldn't hold back and immediately stepped forward.
"Academy Leader, Little Zeel is currently not feeling well, so-"
Before Sol could finish his worry-filled sentence, his body suddenly froze in place.
A tight force restricted his entire body; he couldn't even blink his eyes or talk.
The Academy Leader acted like Sol didn't say anything and continued to touch Little Zeel's forehead.
Whatever he was doing, Little Zeel's body suddenly twitched, and his face twisted into a painful expression.
Seeing this and being in this situation of helplessness triggered Sol's PTSD.
At one moment, he was calm, but the next, he completely lost it.
BANG!
A monstrous amount of Killing Intent suddenly erupted from Sol's body, all aimed toward the Academy Leader.
The Academy Leader glanced at Sol, momentarily taken aback.
However, before the Killing Intent could reach him, it popped like a bubble.
"Child, you-"
The Academy Leader was about to say something, but his expression changed as he met Sol's bloodshot eyes.
His Divine Sense was still keeping Sol in place, but something was off.
At that moment, the crescent moon in Sol's mindscape trembled.
The Killing Intent that was just squashed by the Academy Leader, ignited once again. This time, it was far more potent.
"Sol!"
Yoon-Jae blurted out as he and the others retreated.
The Killing Intent was merely an invisible aura Sol released before, but now it had turned red, making it visible to the naked eye.
The Academy Leader's pupils constricted when he saw this.
His Divine Sense, that was keeping Sol in place, was being bombarded by this Killing Intent.
The full extent of Sol's suppressed fury was being sent directly into the Academy Leader's soul.
If this Killing Intent was experienced by someone like Hyun-Joo, perhaps they would have been affected, but this was the Academy Leader.
He glanced at Sol and said.
"Why does such a young child have this much Killing Intent? Don't you know you can become a monster that only knows how to kill if you cultivate it wrongly?"
The Academy Leader then raised his finger and pointed at Sol.
Once again, the raging Killing Intent popped like a bubble.
At this point, tears were streaming down Sol's face as he looked at Little Zeel.
Even now, the Academy Leader hadn't taken his finger off of Little Zeel's forehead, and his twitching was increasing as time went by.
"Amitabha, don't worry, I'm not harming him. I-"
"Bullshit."
Bang!
The Academy Leader's words were cut off, and he suddenly felt a terrifying Divine Sense rammed into his own.
He stumbled back in the air as a result, but because of his distance, he was able to pull back his Soul Energy before the full force hit him. The Academy Leader paused and looked at the black cat lying on top of Sol's head.
He didn't react by showing a shocked expression or an angry expression. He simply bowed and said.
"It seems I have offended a senior. I apologize."
"Regardless of my injuries, I will not hesitate to sacrifice my life to uproot your entire Shaolin Sect if you touch him again."
As Little Abdu said this, he used his Divine Sense to place Little Zeel in Sol's shaking hands.
The Academy Leader's expression changed for a split second before he bowed once more and then disappeared with a step.
After he left, Abdu stood up and said.
"Sol, hurry! Get Little Zeel on the bed!"
Sol turned and used his Heavenly Steps to appear next to the bed.
While he carefully placed Little Zeel down, Little Abdu leaped onto the bed and frantically said.
"Hurry, hurry, gather the Six Elements and inject them into his body, quick!"
Sol didn't ask questions, but his heart was beating in his chest so loudly it was deafening in his ears.
Without hesitation, Sol did as Little Abdu said.
Metal, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Wood Aether Energy was drawn toward Sol's hands.
Little Abdu, at the same time, sent out his Divine Sense to hide what was going on from the outside world.
"Slowly, Sol, do it slowly."
Sol tried to calm down his racing heart and send the Aether Energy into Little Zeel's body a bit slower.
"What happened?"
Mar-Dule asked this as he and others approached the bed.
Little Abdu looked guilty as he said.
"It's my fault, I should have stepped in sooner. I was too busy trying to hide my existence."
"It's not your fault, Little Abdu. Just tell me what's happening to Little Zeel."
Little Abdu looked down at Little Zeel, who was struggling to breathe.
"If he had been given two more days, he could have stabilized the chaotic elements inside of him, but that bastard purposely disrupted the process."
Sol's eyes were immediately filled with hatred when he heard that.
"Why would the Academy Leader do something like that?"
Cheong-San asked in confusion, but one could hear the hint of anger within his Divine Sense.
Little Abdu responded guiltily.
"It's my fault, I think he did it, so I would act. He must have sensed my Heavenly Palace and was trying to determine my identity. I'm sorry, Sol."
