The Great Ancient One

Chapter 50: Ch 50

[Name:- Water Removal

Rank: E

Type :- Artifact

Use:- Absorbs water and turns it into water vapours. Can only absorb 1 litre in a day.]

It didn't look very special. Just a small device that could easily fit in the palm of my hand. Nothing shiny, nothing grand. But still, it had a useful ability.

With just a touch, it could take away water from almost anything like a wet floors, damp clothes, or even spilled drinks like tea, milk, or coffee. The water would simply vanish and turn into a thin mist before disappearing into the air.

Of course, it had many limits. It could only be used for one liter a day, which was not much at all.

Also, it couldn't work on certain liquids like melted metal or things filled with heavy magic. So in big situations, it was close to useless. But for small problems, like spilled water or dirty puddles, it was actually pretty handy.

This "Water Removal" artifact was one of the two E-rank items I got from the gacha. The second one was an E-rank potion that gives a person strong resistance to cold for a short time.

That potion, however, is not very useful to me right now, since I don't plan to walk into any snowy mountains anytime soon.

Even though both items are weak, I still value them. You never know when a small tool like this might save you in an unexpected situation.

Taking it into my hands, I slowly grazed it over the coffee stains on my shirt and pants. To my surprise, the device worked instantly, as the the brown marks faded away as if they had never been there.

The fabric looked clean and dry, not even a single trace left behind. So efficient… it's almost like magic, I thought, turning the artifact over in my hand. With a small grin, I muttered, "Neat. Really neat." I said, putting it back.

Now then, how should I approach her… I mused to myself, my mind already drifting away from the artifact and toward the real problem waiting ahead.

...

Seriously, what was I thinking… Grace scolded herself in her mind, recalling the moment earlier when she had acted without thinking and touched a place she absolutely shouldn't have. Her cheeks burned just remembering it.

At first, her only intention had been simple and honest. She had seen the coffee spill on his shirt, and her first thought was to wipe it away before it could burn him. She didn't want someone to get hurt—especially someone like him.

From what she had seen so far, he wasn't like the other arrogant rich kids she had heard about. Yes, he was clearly wealthy—the expensive car, the branded clothes, the way he carried himself made that obvious—but even so, he seemed… good. Kind, in his own quiet way.

That was why she had acted. Out of worry. Out of concern. Not because she wanted to cross a line.

And yet, thinking back now, she couldn't help but bury her face in her hands. Ugh, what must he think of me now… she thought.

Thinking back to what happened, she remembered that in a worry to clean it off quickly, she don't even realise when her hand went from his shirt to his pants and from his pants to between his legs, before she realised it, her hands was already cleaning it.

'It looked big...' She thought remembering the length and girth which was able to clearly feel due to his cloths being wet.

'It was like a scene of some ecchi anime or novel.' She thought at that time as her her mind become clouded before she felt herself falling in love... again.

She couldn't help but look in shining golden eyes with an seductive look causing him to lost for a second as she felt 'him' giving a response and immediately leaving, probably due to embarrassment.

As soon as he left, everyone get busied in themselves while occasionally exchanging a few words in between. Sara look like she wants to say something but in the end, she just swallowed her words.

'But Seriously, I need to stop being a lover girl.' Grace thought sighing mentally. It wasn't the first time she felt like fallen in love. This type of thing is very frequent, sometimes even twice a week.

However, the sonner she fall for someone, the sooner she lost interest in that guy making her already realise that it's not love but just some kind of attraction that fades away as quickly.

And since, she is too shy to solve her own problems, she left her the other self to solve them.

Yes, she has a split personality. Even though she hasn't been able to meet her other self, she know she can trust as both of them share a same body and are able to communicate through a note book taking turns.

Whenever, she have a problem she can't solve, she explain them carefully in a notebook and let her other self deal with it. And never once did her other self disappoint her as all of her problems were solved without any issue.

However, sometimes she herself feels embarassed when she see how many trouble she have caused for her other self by falling in love so occasionally.

Even though she don't know how 'she' deals with them. Grace could understand that it must be difficult. Once or twice is fine but it had already happened a dozens time over.

She has even heard some bad rumours because of this problem of her. It frustate her a bit but now she has gotten used to it. After all, it is her mistake and she also felt guilty for harry because of this.

Over this period of time, even though she has been interested in many, the only one who she hasn't lost her interest is Harry. He is also the only one whom she has allowed to hold her hand with... Twice.

Well, that was until Alex appeared. The moment she laid her eyes on him, she felt a connection between them, as if it was her fate to be with 'Someone like him'.

She couldn't help but ask Sara and get a chance to meet him. The more she talk with him, the more he attact her. And the moment she touched his 'Third leg', her feeling for him has increased at a speed fater than bullet train.

'He has to take responsibility for letting me touch him "that".' She thought as her felling for Harry, which has been constant till now become blur.

She had a feeling that the more time she spend with, the more she will loose her feeling for Harry.

Heck, she was even looking forward to the type of face he will make when he get to know about she cheated with someone else while keeping him in the dark. She couldn't understand why? She never felt this type of urge till now.

"Sorry, I am late. Did I make you guys wait for long?" Grace blinked, snapping out of her thoughts when Alex's voice pulled her back to reality. He had spoken directly to her before calmly sitting back down in his seat again, as if nothing unusual had happened.

"No, it's all right," Grace replied quickly, trying to keep her tone steady, "We were just talking," she said with her fingers fiddled with the edge of her skirt as she forced herself to meet his eyes for a second before looking away.

From the side, Sara watched the exchange with sharp eyes, though she pretended not to. She only glanced at Alex from the corner of her eye before turning her attention back to the plate in front of her.

She had ordered the café's most expensive snack, the kind that most students would never dream of buying. The reason was simple... she wanted him to pay more.

It wasn't just about the food, it was her little revenge. Making him spend extra from his pocket money was her way of getting back at him, though she hid it well behind a calm, almost playful expression as she enjoyed every bite.

What she don't know is that his pocket money increased by five times after what 'happened' last night.

Isabella, who was very emotional, and sorry for what she did to Alex in her last 'timeline' directly gave him 10,000 Ruby when he said that he is going out with friends, making this meal almost cost nothing.

Anyways, after Alex after little incident, the group continued chatting for a few more minutes.

The conversation was light, mostly about school and random topics and a new tv show that recently came out, before Alex called the waiter and paid the bill of 500 Ruby including tip in a blink of eye causing Grace eyes to shine.

Am I... A money hungry girl? She thought to herself but then shook her head.

The truth is... The world works on money.
