NOVEL NEXT Chapter 6: Chapter 6
It's been 4 years since the tournament with Baba and everyone has gotten stronger not just the Z fighters but piccolo as well whether they wanted him to or not he learned how to use Kaioken but so far he can only go has high as times 3 without injury or without feeling like he could collapse from energy drain or stmina drain even going times 3 takes alot out of him so does times 2 despite working on this for 5 years he hasn't gotten any better at it until one day when he's training in Kaioken Goku arrives in front of him smirking.
Goku says i thought i saw you copy Yamcha's book back at the tournament Piccolo turns off the Kaioken then asks why did you come here Goku says because i need to see your book Piccolo doesn't think anything of it then does so Goku reads what's in it growls then tosses it in the air destroy's it reaches into his gi then hands him another Kaioken book then says i think that you'll find this one to help you out better i can't have my rival killing himself with improper techniques Piccolo asks have you been doing this with everyone using Kaioken goku says yes i have.
goku says you're the last one as at first i couldn't find your energy until just now Piccolo nods at that then asks why was everyone of your friends injured at the tournament Goku says that Kaioken is dangerous if not trained properly it can destroy your body or even kill you Piccolo asks really Goku says yes really this isn't something to play around with also just a little tip don't go any higher than times 2 when you're starting out wait until you have stages 1 and 2 mastered then move up that way you won't have any pain stamina drain or energy drain.
Piccolo nods then asks how do i do that Goku says your new book tells you how also if you are wearing weights increase them to as much as your body can handle and in the beginning the first stage won't hurt you if you use it for the actual Kaioken technique rather than the transformation Piccolo nods Goku says there are 4 Kaioken attacks in the book good luck with that he's about to leave but Piccolo stops him then asks where are you going Goku says pick up my family then head to master Roshi's you can come with me if you want.
He asks will i be welcome there goku says sure i mean you haven't actually done anything according to Kami you've just scared some people and killed a few animals to survive but hey even i've done that also something you should know Piccolo is that Kami knows Kaioken as well he's had this book pretty much since one year before the tournament Piccolo gasps then asks how strong is he Goku says don't know but i do know that other than the two of us he's the strongest person on Earth Piccolo asks could you take me to him after the reunion.
goku asks why Piccolo says i want him to train me Goku says then you have to train with Korrin first those are the rules Piccolo nods they fly to Goku's house in west city at Capsule Corp Bulma and Gohan are waiting for him Goku summons the Nimbus they get on it Piccolo looks at the three of them with a puzzled expression Bulma says gohan is only 3 he can't fly yet piccolo nods but when he feels Gohan's power level it's higher than even his own which shocks him.
on the way there Piccolo notices that Gohan's power level keeps fluctuating between the weakest on this planet and the strongest he asks bulma about it as Goku and Gohan fell asleep she says she doesn't know must be something to do with Goku's saiyan DNA but one thing is for sure he won't be learning how to fight for a few more years he asks why not she says because i want to develop his mind first then his body she points at Goku then says this idiot doesn't think things through all of the time i'm always doing that for him.
Piccolo laughs at that and says it must get exhausting she says sometimes but then her eyes become mischievious and says he's not a total idiot when he's fighting it's almost like he becomes smarter than me which is weird i'm already working on a way to make that happen in every situation not just fighting Piccolo says maybe you should just focus on the boy we wouldn't want his father's idiocy to transfer into the one thing he's good at she says good point.
They arrive at Roshi's island everyone is surprised to see Piccolo there but nobody actually tells him to leave both Yamcha and Krillin walk up to Piccolo asking what number he's at Piccolo says 3 but i have to start all over again because apparently the book i copied was the wrong one Yamcha says yeah i copied mine from Krillin he only wrote down the basics Goku had time to learn everything about the technique Piccolo nods as the festivities are getting under way Chi-chi and Ox King show up everyone greets them.
Later what looks like a meteor crashes down on the planet Earth inside his ship a message plays for him he makes sure to put his scouter in it's box so no one can listen to it Raditz my son like with you and Vegeta your official orders were listed to wipe out the planets you were sent to but your secret orders were to become the strongest on the planet i did the same thing for your brother if he has slacked off then punish him and remind him of his obligation to our family as well as our people Raditz turns it off then says i will father then puts his scouter on turns off the transmitting function.
Then takes it apart gets rid of the tracking stuff he also sees that with some tinkering he can pick who he transmits to he does that with the help of his computer then makes it so it only goes to Vegeta once done he puts it back together he already did this with his space pod so Frieza couldn't track him but he checks it for trackers anyway he finds one but sees that it's from planet Vegeta he still destroys it not wanting to take any chances after that he turns his scouter on he floats up in the air his scouter must be busted because there are several power levels with 500 or more all gathered in one spot.
He flies over there while doing so everyones heads get smacked by Raditz's power level the first two to sense it are Goku and Piccolo after a few minutes everyone can sense it then they see him land on the beach Raditz is surprised it's evident on his face he hits a couple of buttons on his scouter and now he can get a breakdown of everyone's power level the first person he looks at is:

Raditz whistles at everyone's power levels he's even impressed with how high the females power levels are he's most impressed that the old men could keep their power at such advanced age he looks at the boy sees the tail smirks then notices the blue haired woman embraces him protectively as she gets behind his brother he smirks then says i mean no harm except to one person but depends if he has slacked off all of these years on this planet he then looks at Piccolo then says make that two people Piccolo asks what do you mean.
Raditz says first my name is Raditz he points at Goku and says we are brothers but that will come later for now i have a job given to me by the galactic patrol that any member of alien race sent to another planet for whatever reason must meet certain criteria or they will have to vacate said planet Piccolo asks what criteria Raditz says normally they would have a long list of stuff but seeing in how they pay me for this i have my own so far everyone i've encountered has been evil and pathetically weak my criteria is rather simple don't disturb the eco system of the planet and don't be a weakling.
Everyone nods Goku asks so are we going to talk all day or are we going to fight because you're putting me to sleep everyone laughs at his carefree attitude Raditz just sighs then says it's clear to see that you inherited father's genes from our side of the family bulma perks up at this then asks was your father exactly like Goku Raditz says yes almost exactly except our father was a soldier pretty much from the time he could walk until the day he died.
Our mother on the other hand was a doctor and scientist she wanted to heal people not hurt them she fell in love with our father because despite the way he acted he was actually quite intelligent but only when it came to battle politics and business we were actually the 4th richest family on our planet Bulma gets an evil smirk on her face and has dollar signs for eyes then rushes up to Raditz then asks in a sugary sweet voice tell me how to make him do those things or ill start cutting off everything that makes human saving your tail for last.
Raditz gulps then pulls out his mothers scouter and says if my father finds out i had this i'm going to be in big trouble she says no one will ever know then starts laughing evily a shiver goes down Goku's spine he flies away as does Piccolo they head over to the next Piccolo goes back for gohan not trusting his mother with him after that display Bulma puts the scouter in a dyno cap they just look at her like she's evil but Chi-chi hugs her then whispers in her ear make me a copy as i want a saiyan of my own bulma smirks.
Back on the island Raditz asks goku why are all of you so strong were you guys expecting me or what goku looks at Raditz like he's growing a second head then says no how are we supposed to know when guys from outer space arrive Raditz sweatdrops at his own question after it left his lips and his brothers answer Piccolo says no we haven't learned how to sense energy from beyond our planet yet Raditz asks wait can you guys sense how strong i am without a device Goku says yes everyone in our group can except for my son he's only 3 after all.
After talking some more raditz decides to fight Piccolo first they rush at each other despite never fighting a saiyan other than Goku piccolo is doing well they spar for awhile to get the feel of each after that they trade blows then energy blasts the fight goes on for 30 minutes both Piccolo and Raditz are actually even in everything including power but none of the two are panting hard Raditz says that's enough of a test and besides if that demonstration is anything to go by i'm fairly certain i'll lose the next one Piccolo says you will as he held back when we fought the last time Goku frowns.
Goku asks how did you know that i made sure to lower my speed strength and power back then to just be slightly above yours Piccolo says at first i didn't becuase the fight was roo even especially when you let yourself get injured by me to sell it but then i followed you guys to that old hags tournament and saw how much stronger you were Goku feels guilty but Piccolo says don't feel bad i had fun in our fight besides it gave me something to shoot for knowing that you were that much stronger than me.
Raditz asks how strong are you goku says idk never powered up enough to find out Raditz says do it doing so won't hurt the planet goku does so and powers up he starts shaking the surrounding area once he stops his power level is at 40,000 and this is without Kaioken Raditz sends everyones power levels to Vegeta including his brothers also Piccolo powers up amd his power level once he stops is 28,000 without Kaioken he asks can all of you become ten times stronger Goku says yes what you are seeing on your little gizmo is us when we suppress our powers excpet for Roshi and Ox King their levels won't go much higher than 5 times.
Raditz flies over to Roshi's Island gathers the other Z fighters brings them to the island has them power up Chiaotzu's power level is 6100 Tien's power level is 18,300 Yamcha's power level is 17,700 Krillin's power level is 14,800 Chi-chi's power level is 10,000 Bulma's is 12,000 Ox King's is 2,040
Roshi's is 2500 Raditz is impressed but then his scouter looks at gohan and it flucuates between 7 million and his power level of 350 confusing him he sends everything to Vegeta to see if he can understand it on the planet Arilia where Raditz was Vegeta and Nappa both get Raditz transmission they are amazed by what they see like Raditz they ade sure to make their space pods and scouters not watched by Frieza or his goons Nappa asks what do you make of Kakarot's brat Vegeta says it's not his scouter as we managed to steal the very best tech from every member of frieza's family.
Nappa says well something must be up for a 3 year old's power to flucuate like that Vegeta says don't know good news is Kakarot fullfilled his mission but he's nowhere near Fireza's level before they can say anything more Nappa picks up a transmission from the saiyan Turles and his crew they are heading to Earth in 6 years time Vegata plots a course for Earth it will take them 6 months to get there Vegeta tells Raditz to train and about the upcoming threat to Earth as well as who he serves Raditz is freaking out about what's coming to Earth especially Turles Garlic Jr Lord Slug and Bojack.
Raditz is really freaking out because he has a max power level of 3,000 and he will be nothing but cannon fodder he stops freaking out when his brother puts his hand on his shoulder asking what's wrong Raditz tells everyone what's coming and that Vegeta and Nappa are coming to help in 6 months Goku asks how long do we have Raditz says 6 years Goku says that's plenty of time to train you Gohan and Piccolo properly He looks at master Roshi then says you have some new students master Roshi says i guess so.
Roshi takes them to be trained then asks should i wast an entire year doing what i usually do goku says no split it up between that and the martial arts also train Gohan for 2 years he nods with that he takes the rest to Kami's lookout everyone is amazed by how beautiful it is up there Mr Popo approachs them greets them takes Goku to the side then asks how do you want them trained Goku says the same way you trained me but do it in two years he nods with that he goes to Kami who asks what is it that you would like to learn from me Goku says to sense energy from all over the planet like you do and to sense energy in outer space.
Kami says those are some very difficult techniques to learn they could take up to a year each to master goku says it will be worth it Kami says very well then takes him to the time room to train him they travel back in time to his previous master 6 months pass Vegeta and Nappa arrive on the planet they use their scouters and find Raditz along with the namek and Kakarot's son training with an old man on an island Vegeta approaches them then asks could we train with you Roshi is at first surprised by their presence but remembers Raditz telling them that they are coming.
Roshi says no not yet we will have to make a few changes that you will laugh at but they will be beneficial i promise the two saiyans nod Roshi takes them to his house on the way there he turns his head back to them then asks that armor you wear is it light weight like Raditz or weighted Vegeta says weighted they make it to his house he hands them just regular blue gis then says you guys can change in any room just please don't break anything oh and i need your armor when your done they nod.
once they are changed Nappa says actually these clothes are quite comfortable vegeta says yes they are now we know why Kakarot wears them all of the time once they set their aromor down they see the old man with a strange metal contraption Vegeta asks what does that do Roshi says this is to measure how big your feet are so i can give you two more comfortable shoes to train in they nod and do what he tells them Vegeta is a size 9 and Nappa is a size 12 Roshi gives them the same type shoes that Krillin but shows them the boots that Goku wears Vegeta wears those and he admits these boots are more comfortable than his own.
Roshi weighs their armor Nappa's weighs 100 pounds Vegeta's weighs 250 pounds Raditz armor only weighed 75 he quadrouples the weight like he did with Raditz piccolo was wearing 200 pounds he did the same with him but with Gohan he only started at 50 pounds because he wasn't wearing any weight at all except the four star dragon ball after that he gets them started on training has them delivering milk after putting a pink turtle shell on them after having Piccolo change the weight to what he wants a year and half later everyone has gotten a lot stronger.
Goku returns to Piccolo's group no stronger than when he left them but piccolo knows that he didn't waste two years doing nothing Goku says alright everyone come with me we only have two years left Vegeta asks Kakarot surely you don't expect us to continue wearing these shells goku says actually i do he then looks at Piccolo then asks have you learned the beam technique to materialize objects Piccolo says yes i can do it Goku says good then put the same amount of weight everyone is wearing on their limbs Piccolo nods and does so he says also on their torso Piccolo does so Goku takes off the turtle shells then says there no more turtle shells.
Piccolo does the same for himself then he has them run and other means of physical travel to Korrin's tower they get there in 6 months next he has them climb the tower one at a time it takes each person a month to do so and the rest of the year to complete Korrin's training including the Ultra divine water that unlocks their ability to sense energy after that he takes them up to the lookout to be trained by Mr Popo he trains them the same way that Goku was and the other Z fighters for 2 years leaving one year left while they are doing this goku is training with the others helping them hone their skills.
2 years of training pass Kami walks up to the three saiyans then says there's something that i want to show you 3 they nod he takes them to the time room Vegeta says we've already been in this room Kami says i know but i mean a moment in time that i made forbidden until you three were strong enough Goku has already completed this exercise gohan will do this after you they nod he sets the dials to the time period then says remember this has already happened so there's nothing you can do to change it also you can't die here but that doesn't mean you can be reckless either also whatever injuries you recieve in there unlike your previous training with Mr Popo you will get injured and bruised but not maimed or killed understand also if you get paralyzed i won't be able to heal you broken bones sure but healing an injury like that is beyond my powers they nod in understanding.
He activates the time period for them they get transported to planet Sadala right when they are slaughtering the Arkosians for their technolgy this is 100 years in the past they get spotted by two saiyans named Shorty and scarface is saiyan soldier who is short bald with navy blue hair around his head like Borgos with a scar above his eye almost like Yamcha and he has long canine sharp teeth his partner Shorty has long jet black hair has the usual low class saiyan armor like his partner one noticable exception is his slightly grey looking skin tone.
Him and his partner aren't like most saiyans who lust for battle they hunger to torment everyone they come across whether their opponents are stronger than them or weaker it doesn't matter combined they have a power level of 24,000 but that doesn't matter to them their true power lies in trickery and doing whatever it takes to win Vegeta and his team spend a few days watching them but on the outside world only a few minutes have passed once they are sure they can take them Vegeta sends Raditz and Nappa to see how well they have improved.
Raditz takes scarface Nappa takes shorty instead of toying with them like they usually would they spar with the saiyans to test their abilities once they have their measure they kill them thus ending the test Kami claps then asks Vegeta why didn't you fight them Vegeta says because these two needed to test their skills i'll do it next time with Gohan and Piccolo Raditz and Nappa leave Vegeta stays he looks at Kami then asks can this room show me any moment in history Kami says yes it can Vegeta asks can you show me things as an observer not as a fighter.
Kami says yes i can do that but i would have to change a few things and it would take a few days to do so Vegeta says not if i help you Kami is taken aback then asks why would you do that Vegeta says because we saiyans need this knowledge sooner rather than later Kami says okay but you must do exactly as i say one wrong move and this room becomes useless to us Vegeta nods Mr Popo comes inside then says actually what Vegeta wants isn't that difficult it can be done easily Kami asks what do you mean Mr Popo says the past guardians gave me special abilities including knowledge transfer.
Kami asks are you saying that you can give me all of their knowledge Mr Popo says yes but not their power you will have to work for that Kami nods then Mr Popo takes Kami to a room in the lookout gets a few things does some chanting gathers energy then in a few hours later Kami has all of their knowledge shoved into his head including the fact that King kai is not the highest diety in existence that there are others above him also he now knows how god ki works but he also realizes that even if he trained for 100 years he will never be able to master it but he uses his knowledge to upgrade the Hyperbolic time chamber so that the gravity can go up to 100 times Earth's gravity.
Also you can train in there as many times as you want also up to 4 people can train in there the food automatically restores itself and you can train in there for up to 3 years at a time which is 3 days he also adds a function that will upon entering will double someone's weights or if they aren't wearing any put the same amount as the combined group they came with he also upgrades the time room so he's able to switch between observer and combat training anytime he wants also he makes it so that everyone got zenkai's from it not just saiyans.
After he was done he took all of the saiyans including gohan into the time room Bulma and Chi-chi went as well the first time period they went to was the first super saiyan which was Yamoshi his enemy was an evil saiyan called Cumber they watched the events Gohan especially watched how Yamoshi turned into an ape then transformed further into a golden one but even with that it wasn't enough because he was betrayed after that Yamoshi was locked up for daring to go against the evil saiyans he broke out found his allies then trained for 10 years he managed to become a super saiyan without the ape form he was faster but was physically weaker but the power was the same he taught his men to do the same.
Meanwhile Cumber learned how to do Yamoshi's original transformation but it was stronger than his own knowing that this won't be enough Yamoshi had them pour their power into him as super saiyans they couldn't see what happened after that because all they saw was flashes then a beam struggle and the planet exploding Kami asks where do you want to go next Vegeta says the day our parents died and Planet Vegeta was destroyed.
kami sighs not liking this one but does what Vegeta asks they watch as Bardock set everything up for his sons Vegeta is jealous that bardock was that through while his own father only gave him training manuals and train his ape also how to create a fake moon Raditz asks how come mine is the same Goku says because i was supposed to teach you guys the rest and i was going to but we don't have the time as learning those styles takes 3 years Kami says you're in luck after this you can train them for three years in 3 days including Gohan Goku says no i know what you're talking about gohan isn't ready for that yet.
Goku says also after this chi-chi and Bulma will be tutoring him in his studies at home Gohan looks at goku in shock then asks why Vegeta says because you have more potential than all of us combined he kneels down to Gohan looks im in the eye then says it's one thing to be a warrior on the front lines who dies for his country it's another to be the general leading that soldier so he doesn't die Goku looks at Vegeta in shock as does the other two Vegeta says listen if trained properly and educated properly he could be the greatest saiyan warrior we've ever had but we don't want an idiot leading us.
Gohan nods in understanding then looks at Kami who asks after showing us this can you give us a tactical view insted of an emotional one Kami says i can show you both at the same time he shows everyone preparing for Frieza's invasion after that by training togther for a 1 in fact they see that everyone became 10 times stronger by training together instead of seperately Vegeta is impressed that Bardock managed to become a mid-class saiyan during this time also that Kakarot's power level when he was born was 80 but he was frightened at Paragus's son Broly having a power level of 10,000 at birth that's almost super elite.
Vegeta when he was born had a power level of 3,000 Nappa had one of 400 King Vegeta had one of 1,000 Paragus had one of 300 Bardock had one 40 despite everyone's improvement they were no match for Frieza collectively they equaled half of his power at his second form but he would never acknowledge that he just did a supernova killed all of the saiyans but not strong enough to destroy the planet after that he calimed it as his own and moved most of his men there including the Ginyu force Vegeta is seething as is Goku.
once the vison ends Chi-chi and bulma take Gohan back Capsule Corp to study they still have most of the year left only two weeks have passed during all of this Goku has them calm down first then explains the time chamber to them then has Yamcha Krillin Tien and Piccolo go first they all train together using Kaioken inside is a manual on the time chamber and how it works they read it properly then set it to 20 times gravity after that they spend 3 years inside togther and all of them get up to Kaioken times 10 once their time is over they come out tired but stronger than ever.
Goku takes them inside he reads the manual sets the dial to 20 times gravity like they did then teaches them both fighting styles then asks them a serious question do you guys want to keep your tails or unlock a power that gives you the speed strength and power of the ape without becoming one Raditz says i'll do it Goku says if you do this you can never become an ape again also you forever lose your tail Nappa says just teach us how to do it Goku sighs then does the same thing that Shenron did to him puts energy through their bodies through their tails turns them into apes for the last time then sends that power back into their tails and into their bodies thus destroying their tails forever.
After that he teaches them how to control it after lots of training they master the Ikari form except theirs is the false super saiyan form with instead of yellow eyes they have red eyes like with great apes now they are training it so the energy field goes away like goku did after a year they succeed and they don't glow anymore either also Goku teaches all three of them to suppress their energy as well as how to use their energy properly and how to control it half way through their training Vegeta decides that he wants the Ikari form as well so goku gives it to him he masters it as well they only have 6 months left in the time chamber so he teaches Raditz and Nappa how to create a fake moon also how to do so without wasting energy Vegeta learns how to as well.
Once outside the chamber everyone can't believe how strong the saiyans became Goku has the saiyans wait a few days then says okay next group is Yamcha Krillin Raditz and Nappa they go in set the dial to 20 times gravity then train with each other as best as they can instead of learning new stuff Goku slipped a note to Yamcha that said to have them spar with the saiyans the whole time and improve their fighting abilities as well as work on teamwork strategies which they do once the 3 years are over everyone is much stronger but on the outside only 3 days have passed Vegeta asks is this what we are going to do the whole time abuse this room goku says no just one last time why.
Vegeta says because doing this can't be good on our bodies goku says it isn't which is why for the rest of the year after this we won't be training but just relaxing and letting our bodies as well as our energies recharge for the battle ahead once everyone comes out before Goku's group can go inside Kami stops him he says i'm sorry goku but even if your group goes in next at most you will only gain 3 times your speed and strength but not your power Goku asks is it because of how exhausted we are Kami says prtially also that two of your group appears to be injured.
Goku turns to Tien and Piccolo he walks over to them uses the kaioken hand to see how injured they are and to see what level they unlocked then says you two are idiots didn't i tell you two not to go beyond level 5 until you had more training they nod Goku says lucky for you King kai korrin and i developed a special senzu bean just for this injury or it would be beyond Kami to heal you he splits one in half gives it to them and they are completely healed also they are back to what they were before entering the time chamber.
Goku says now don't go higher than times 5 in there as i only have 4 beans left as the others are still growing they nod Vegeta asks could i have one goku says no but after this you and the saiyans can have a regular one he nods they go inside they spend 3 years on improving their fighting skills Goku helps Piccolo and Tien master Kaioken all the way to times 5 he even helps them master the techniques in the book also they work on teamwork strategies.
After they get out goku summons the rest of the Z fighters except Gohan chi-chi and bulma then gives each one half of a senzu bean they get back up to full strength and full power Goku tells everyone no training for the rest of the year atleast physical training Kami materializes manuals for mental training they have 9 months to do so they leave the look out Kami makes the saiyans armor as comfortable as what they are wearing including their foot wear but back in their original armor except Nappa is wearing a black under pants as is Raditz it's like Vegeta's except no sleeves.
also they are wearing their wrist things like before not gloves the same boots too after that they leave everyone else goes home bulma and Chi-chi took Gohan to her house because there was too many distractions goku went back home and slept for a few days Vegeta went to the wilderness by himself Raditz and Nappa went back to Roshi they gave him their books and he is training them for the 9 months Piccolo stayed on the lookout with Kami he looks at Piccolo then asks can i help you piccolo says yes you can and more importantly i can help you.
He looks at Mr Popo then says come here this concerns you too Mr Popo nods then asks what do you require of me Piccolo asks in terms of percentage how far is he to being strong enough to earn the right to get the power of the other guardians Mr Popo says as he is right now about 95% he's only at 5% as he has been slacking off in his training he could have been doing so which he was during the last 5 years before this crisis began but he stopped to do his duties as guardian Piccolo nods then says tien gave me every technique that he has ever learned including the crane style also roshi did the same.
Kami asks where are you going with this Piccolo says Mr Popo is going to teach them to you inside the Hyperbolic time chamber and i will be your opponent also inside Mr Popo will teach us every mental thing in the book you gave us also togther we will master Kaioken also we will master the saiyan techniques Kami nods they all 3 go inside and like Piccolo said they master every technique that Master Roshi knows first is his fighting style then the sleepy boy technique then the afterimage then the lightning surprise attack then the cool breeze technique and finally the kamehameha.
