The God of calamity’s wife: return of the 13th

Chapter 32: 32- Aksel doesn’t submit easily

Aksel howled again to give his power to Sirius who submissive to his wife howled back this time and was now weaker. All of his Alpha power had been relinquished.

Saoirse lifted Sirius to his feet and had tears in her eyes, he could feel her fear as he had nearly caused a fight.

She turned to Aksel who couldn't see it and was a bit too far away and simply said, "No more lies."

Aksel nodded firmly, "I will. I give you my oath my life is in your hands."

Sirius decided to try again to get werewolf customs right and shifted into a black and white wolf again and walked over to Aksel, now human and growled deep in his throat as he bared his teeth and snapped at his face.

Aksel let out a whimper submissively in response, though he did not fear him. and lowered his body to the ground in a form of surrender.

"Don't think I trust you." Sirius said authoritatively. "Don't you dare mess up. I'll have my eye on you. If you dare mess with my wife again, you won't get another chance."

"Yes Alpha." He said and sulked away to rejoin the rest of the pack.

Saoirse then stepped forward addressing her new pack and said, "I am Saoirse Timoteusdotter and this is my husband Sirius Helson. We expect one hundred percent loyalty from every one of you.

If anyone wishes to challenge my position as Luna you may do it formally. However, I advise against it because I have defeated thousands and I am the Luna of five other packs.

Never be worried of my strength because I am pregnant I am not weak when I am with child. She barked.

If you pledge your loyalty to me, you will be welcomed by my side and we will move forward to end this war with Alastor the vampire king!

Those who wish to leave may leave.

She finished her speech and then Sirius stepped forward and said, " I will no longer allow raiding of the human town for vampire hunting targets.

Killing is not a game and if you expect to win this war, you cannot satisfy yourselves in the slaughter of the weak and innocent. I run a disciplined pack and any that disobey me will be kicked out. I expect everyone to pull their weight and I assure you, under me, you will have the opportunity to do many great things."

Then he let out a bark, hoping it didn't mean anything in their tongue.

"Arrrf!" Translated to "mine!"

Which was kind of random but no one cared. A few chuckled to themselves but they preferred this couple so they let it go. Sometimes the strongest did not always know the language so they were fine with it.

As the day drew to a close, Saoirse and Sirius explored the packlands of Pembrokeshire, assessing what resources were available and identifying areas for improvement.

"The town is surprisingly cheerful for a werewolf town," Aksel commented as he walked alongside them. He had insisted on joining since he planned to be an important part of the team. If he couldn't be Saoirse's boyfriend, at least he could contribute to the decision-making.

Sirius held Saoirse's hand, a gesture meant to assert his dominance over Aksel—a move he never thought he'd make in a relationship, but Aksel was sneaky and persistent, and Sirius didn't trust him one bit.

Saoirse found herself smiling at the situation; the fact that these two were still competing for her attention broke the tension a little. Aksel had betrayed her before, but he was also power-hungry and jealous—traits she figured could be useful if harnessed correctly.

She was enjoying holding Sirius's hand, too.

"This town is far from the conflict," Sirius replied. "They've preserved their culture because they don't let outsiders influence them. The Alpha was very traditional."

Aksel crossed his arms behind his back, nodding. He noticed how Sirius clung to Saoirse's hand and knew he was the third wheel in this little walk, but since Saoirse hadn't explicitly turned him away, he figured he wasn't pushing his luck too much.

Walking a bit closer to Sirius, Aksel smirked. "Looks like you're worried I might steal her. Hold on any tighter, and you might hurt her fingers."

"I'm not worried at all," Sirius replied, pushing him away from him. "Don't stand so close to me."

"Fine," Aksel said, dropping back to walk behind them.

As Saoirse went from shop to shop, meeting owners and gauging the town's economic health, she walked into one store where the shopkeeper began explaining her business.

Aksel sat down at an outdoor table, while Sirius kept an eye on him.

"You know, you don't always have to watch me," Aksel called out.

Sirius crossed his arms. "Seems like when I don't, you create problems for me. I doubt I need your advice on how to be Alpha."

Well, aren't you going to help her get to know the town? You haven't stepped inside any of the shops," Aksel pointed out.

Sirius ignored him.

Aksel sighed, standing up. "Fine, I'm getting ice cream." He walked into the shop Saoirse was in. She was busy going over financial records; this shop faced similar taxation issues as others she had visited, and she realized they would need to implement a new system to help businesses stay open.

He approached Saoirse and interrupted the conversation. "Hey, Sirius wanted to buy a few things. Can we use your card? I'm a little short on cash."

Saoirse handed it over without hesitation. "Sure, that's fine."

Aksel smiled, took the card, and left. He flashed it at Sirius before heading into the ice cream shop next door. After buying an ice cream and withdrawing some cash for himself, he returned to Saoirse to give back the card.

"Thanks," she said, not looking up. Then she noticed the ice cream in his hand. "I didn't say you could buy ice cream. You shouldn't waste money on trivial things."

Aksel shrugged. "Hey, maybe Sirius isn't great with money management. Don't judge me."
