The Goblin's Leveling System!

Chapter 165: Battling The High-level Monsters With The Use Of Teamwork

Alex's PoV:

Satomi and the rest of the heroes including me walked towards the high-level monsters while channeling our mana around our bodies to increase our defense and attack capabilities.

The high-level monsters stared at us and waited for us to launch an attack first before the high-level monsters would attack us.

Aerin was sitting beside Axel while waiting for Axel to wake up and defending Axel from the possible attacks of the high-level monsters towards Axel.

Aerin used her nature magic to conjure a wooden hemisphere that covered both Axel and her.

Since Axel wouldn't be harmed by the possible attacks of both me, the rest of the heroes, and the high-level monsters, all of us decided to team up against the high-level monsters.

The first member of the group who went ahead of us was Satomi. He recklessly charged towards one of the high-level monsters which was a huge-looking tiger.

Satomi pointed his shoulder towards the huge tiger and charged towards it which caused him to attack the huge tiger in a tackle.

The huge tiger didn't bother in dodging Satomi as it didn't perceive Satomi as a threat that could harm him which was true in some ways.

As Satomi collided with the huge tiger, the bones in Satomi's shoulder, arms, and rib cage that he had used to tackle the huge tiger broke in an instant after it collided with the huge tiger.

Meaning to say, Satomi's attack and defense stat were only meager in front of a monster like the huge tiger.

But since Satomi was an immortal, the injuries such as the broken bones that were inflicted towards him by the huge tiger regenerated in an instant as if Satomi's injuries weren't there, to begin with.

Whenever Satomi was injured, he would receive a small amount of stats but if he died, he would receive a much higher amount of stats compared to when he was only injured.

It was certainly and undeniably a skill that suited a masochistic pervert such as Satomi. With that immortality skill, Satomi doesn't need to fear being slapped to death by the lolis that he would harass in the future.

I had heard from the other heroes that even someone powerful such as Axel couldn't kill Satomi but I knew that if Axel was given time, Axel could find a skill that would be the nemesis of Satomi's immortality skill.

The other members of our group also attacked the other high-level monsters but unlike Satomi, they kept a distance from the high-level monsters except for Sophie who specializes in assassination since she would need to attack the high-level monsters using her dagger.

Pedonar and Aileen teamed up together to attack one of the high-level monsters which were a level 77,000 great forest spirit.

Of all the high-level monsters that our group was battling against, the only high-level monster that I could recognize was the level 77,000 great forest spirit.

Sophie was attacking a huge bee that had a long sharp stinger on its butt and the huge bee was flying in the air which forced Sophie to use the [Shadow Walk] skill to walk in the air with the use of the shadows.

Sophie wasn't that much at a disadvantage against the huge bee since she could dodge the attacks of the huge bee in a split second.

As the other members of the group were attacking the high-level monsters, I was still watching them from the sidelines and I decided to check the system mission I had accepted that was about Axel.

After I had summoned the system mission screen, a translucent blue screen appeared in front of me which displayed the contents of the mission that I had accepted.

Since our group had saved Axel from being near death's door, the completion of the system mission showed '1/2' which meant that I completed half of the system mission.

The other half of the system mission was to save Axel from the threat of the high-level monsters which meant that our group needed to eliminate all of the high-level monsters that were deemed as a threat to Axel.

Of course, the only high-level monsters that were deemed as a threat for Axe, for now,w were the high-level monsters that had attacked him a while ago.

If I'm not wrong, then even if there were another high-level monster that attacked us, it wouldn't be deemed as a threat to Axel since it would only be a threat to us because we were the ones who would fight against it.

But if that high-level monster would attack Axel, then it would be deemed as a threat to Axel and that would trigger the system mission to add another completion requirement.

As I finished sorting out the current information that I had with my system missions, I decided that it was time for me to attack the high-level monsters and contribute to our group.

I had not noticed before that Distere wasn't attacking the high-level monsters and waited for me to decide to attack the high-level monsters.

Pedonar and Aileen might have told Distere to attack the high-level monsters only if Distere and I were teaming up against one of the high-level monsters.

Satomi wasn't the only one who had acquired a new skill when our group was training in the safe zone that Axel had created.

Both Distere and I had acquired a skill that would only be activated if the two of us used that skill at the same time.

The skill that the two of us had acquired was the [Swordsman Synchronization] skill. As the name suggested, it was a skill that allowed two or more swordsmen to synchronize with each other.

Of course, it was already hard to maintain the [Swordsman Synchronization] skill when Distere and I had first tried it so it would be much more difficult if three or more persons used that skill.

The [Swordsman Synchronization] skill was a mythical rank skill that allowed two or more swordsman to combine their swordsmanship and used that combine swordsmanship to attack against their desired target.

The [Swordsman Synchronization] skill doesn't use that much mana and the only thing that made it hard to use was the fact that it placed an enormous toll on the user of that skill's mind.

Fortunately, Distere and I had previously trained in using the [Swordsman Synchronization] several times so even if the two of us activated the [Swordsman Synchronization] skill, Distere and I would be able to use it without any problem.

As Distere and I decided to attack the high-level monsters, a huge-looking cheetah walked out of the forest and the huge-looking cheetah bared its fangs towards us.

The huge-looking cheetah pounced towards Distere and me so the two of us were forced to be in a defensive position.

I used my mana to create a mana shield in front of Distere and me to block the incoming huge-looking cheetah.

The huge-looking cheetah collided with the mana shield that I had created and the collision between the huge-looking cheetah and the mana shield caused the mana shield to show signs of cracking.

Luckily, the mana shield that I had created was durable enough to withstand the attack power of a high-level monster such as the huge cheetah.

Although the mana shield had cracked a bit due to the attack of the huge cheetah, the mana shield would still be enough to withstand another attack of the huge cheetah.

As I had expected, the huge cheetah launched another attack towards Distere and me but since I had the mana shield in front of us, the mana shield withstood the attack of the huge cheetah but at the price of the mana shield being completely shattered.

The mana shield exploded as a result of being shattered by the huge cheetah and the fragments of the mana shield were launched towards the huge cheetah after the mana shield had exploded.

The huge cheetah was caught up in the explosion of the mana shield and the huge cheetah was slightly injured by the fragments of the mana shield.

Some bits of fragments were embedded on the huge cheetah's epidermis layer of skin so the explosion of the mana shield wasn't that much of a threat for huge cheetah.

A few drops of blood trickled from the minor wounds on the huge cheetah's skin that were caused by the explosion of the mana shield.

The huge cheetah groaned in pain due to the minor wounds that I had caused towards the huge cheetah.

The huge cheetah was enraged by the fact that I had caused an injury towards it so it quickly pounced towards me since I had no longer any defense in front of me.

It seemed that I would need to read this world's bestiary or else I would be forced to label all monsters I would meet by their appearance instead of abilities.
