Chapter 149: 100% Completion On Reading The Hundred Thousand Paged Book
Axel's PoV:
Axel 2 was still reading the first half of the hundred paged book and by accessing his memory, I found out that he had read at least 28,000 pages and the information about the high-level monsters was yet to be found.
There was a greater probability that the information about the high-level monsters was at the second half of the hundred paged book which I was currently reading right now.
Since I had no more clues left to find about the Great Sage Of Knowledge except for the fact that I needed to find someone, I was now focusing on reading the second half of the hundred paged book.
I was reading 2 pages per second in the second half of the hundred paged book without hindering the concentration that I used to absorb mana in the surroundings.
The fight between the Dragon King and the 8 high-level monsters had yet to break out but it might just be a few minutes before one of them decided to fight against one another.
For that reason, Axel 2 and I had to hasten our reading speed so that the two of us would be able to read all of the contents of the hundred paged book.
By reading all of the contents of the hundred paged book, it would increase our chances of finding information about the 8 high-level monsters.
Since the hundred paged book was written by the Great Sage Of Knowledge, there was only a small percentage of chance that there wasn't any information about the 8 high-level monsters in it.
I had even read information about monsters stronger than the 8 high-level monsters that the Dragon King was facing against so it was unlikely that there wasn't even a sentence mentioned about the 8 high-level monsters.
The only thing I needed to have in mind was to be patient so that both Axel 2 and I would find the information about the 8 high-level monsters in due time.
I kept on reading and reading the second half of the hundred paged book and Axel 2 was also doing the same thing I did.
After reading for two minutes, I had finished reading 240 pages while Axel 2 had read more than me in two minutes since I had most of my concentration in absorbing mana in the surroundings.
Axel 2 was twice as fast in reading as I am but I didn't let that get to me and focused on minding my own business.
Why would I be jealous of my own alter ego since he's like a different version of myself?
Axel 2 didn't bother in taking over my body or something like that so I wouldn't care that much about whatever he would do inside my mind space as long as it wouldn't harm me.
As I was reading the second half of the hundred thousand paged book, I had the bright idea that suddenly popped into my mind.
"Axel 2, how about we just store the memories that we have obtained from reading the hundred thousand paged book in the memory database without analyzing it? It would reduce twice the time it would take for us to both read and analyze the words that we have read so it would increase our reading speed by two-folds if we don't analyze it first."
After I suggested that to Axel 2, Axel 2 agreed without any hesitation and was now focusing on reading the first half of the hundred thousand paged book.
As I had expected, the reading speed of Axel 2 had increased by two-folds since he didn't analyze the words that he had read from the first half of the hundred thousand paged book.
Reading the hundred thousand paged book without analyzing it was the same as having photographic memory but accessing the photographed memory later on.
The only downside of not analyzing the words that Axel 2 and I had read from the hundred thousand paged book was that we wouldn't be able to know what we had read in real-time.
I planned to read all of the contents of the hundred thousand paged book before proceeding on analyzing all of the contents afterward.
It would take a meager amount of time to analyze the contents that Axel 2 and I had read from the hundred thousand paged book compared to combining the time it would take to both reads and analyze its contents.
Separating the time of both the reading and analyzing of contents from the hundred thousand paged book would be much more efficient so Axel 2 and I decided to do it.
Worst comes to worst, if the 8 high-level monsters decided to attack the Dragon King, then Axel 2 and I would stop in reading the hundred thousand paged book but instead, analyze all of the contents from the hundred thousand-page book that we had read.
By analyzing all of the contents from the hundred thousand paged book when the Dragon King would confront the 8 high-level monsters altogether, Axel 2 and I would bet our chances if we were able to read at least one of the 8 high-level monsters' information.
They said that knowledge was power. So, obtaining the information about the high-level monster's weaknesses would drastically increase the chances of the Dragon King defeating the 8 high-level monsters.
Several minutes had passed and Axel 2 and I were halfway in reading all of the contents from the hundred thousand paged book so that meant that Axel 2 and I had read at least 50,000 pages.
The 8 high-level monsters weren't showing any signs of aggression against the Dragon King yet.
It made me wonder what the 8 high-level monsters were planning since they didn't even bother in defeating the Dragon King despite the 8 high-level monsters outnumbering the Dragon King.
There must be something that the 8 high-level monsters were planning but for now, I wouldn't be able to know it so I might as well wait and see what the plan of the 8 high-level monsters was.
Time passed by until Axel 2 and I had finished reading all of the pages of the hundred thousand paged book.
Axel 2 and I were now focusing on analyzing the contents from the hundred thousand-page book that we had read earlier.
{Master, this is bad! I feel a sudden fluctuation of mana in the surroundings and the cause of it are the 8 high-level monsters!}
The Dragon King sent me a warning about the current situation that he was facing by communicating via telepathy.
"Axel 1, it seems that one of us need to focus on analyzing the contents from the hundred thousand paged book while the other one will aid the Dragon King in both increasing mana recovery and activating mana skills."
Axel 2 told me right after the Dragon King had warned me about the current situation outside.
"Axel 2, you will focus on analyzing the contents from the Great Sage Of Knowledge's book while I will handle the task of supporting the Dragon King in battling against the high-level monsters."
After I had said that, Axel 2 nodded in agreement and withdrew his concentration that helped me in absorbing the mana in the surroundings.
The purpose of Axel 2 in withdrawing all of his concentration just to focus all of it on analyzing the contents of the hundred thousand paged book was to increase the analyzability speed of Axel 2.
The mana recovery speed had decreased when Axel 2 halted in absorbing the mana in the surroundings but I made up for it by replacing the task of Axel 2.
I was now recovering mana at an exponential speed and although it was considered fast enough, it was still not enough to offset the possible mana usage that the Dragon King and I would use in fending off against the 8 high-level monsters.
But since the Dragon King and I had yet to use our mana, my mana recovery rate was recovering the mana that I had consumed a while ago until my mana pool was full.
Since my mana pool had no longer any space to store any more mana, I absorbed the mana in the surroundings and transferred it instead into the [Mana Stack] skill that I had.
I was gradually recovering the mana that I had consumed from the [Mana Stack] skill.
I had 67% mana left in the stored mana in my [Mana Stack] skill.
I summoned a screen in front of me that showed the things I could see with the use of my eyes.
Therefore, I was now watching what the Dragon King was currently seeing on the screen that I had summoned in front of me.
The Dragon King prepared his fighting stance while the 8 high-level monsters were accumulating mana around them which meant that the 8 high-level monsters were planning on activating their magic skills.
Both the Dragon King and I had raised our guards and remained vigilant towards the 8 high-level monster's actions.
After the Dragon King and I had noticed that the 8 high-level monsters were making a move, the Dragon King and I started attacking one of the 8 high-level monsters.
