Chapter 135: Using Ninja Tecniques To Fool Monsters That Were Out Of My League
Axel's PoV:
After witnessing the flock of level 1000 bluebirds propagating away from the border, I headed opposite to where the level 1000 bluebirds were heading at.
I went straight into the flock of level 1000 bluebirds and since my level was higher than the bluebirds, the bluebirds quickly got out of my way so that I wouldn't bump into them.
Due to my high defense and attack stat, just by bumping, I could defeat any monster that was several levels below me.
It was the reason why the level 1000 bluebirds decided to not get in my way.
I increased my pace by adding wind magic in my body to propel myself forward which increased the velocity of my flight by several kilometers per hour.
I was as fast as the speed of sound and I didn't increase my speed any further that would match the speed of sound since it would cause a sonic boom and might break the sound barrier in the process.
As I sped up, the vision I saw from my surrounding felt as if it was in slow motion since my speed was too fast.
The leaves that fell off from the trees were slowly falling into the ground and I also witnessed it in slow motion.
I decided to have some fun before my impending doom against the monsters near the border by creating blades of wind to slice off the leaves into two pieces.
My perfectionism was at work which caused me to unconsciously cut the leaves into two equal pieces.
I won't even be surprised if the next personality that I would be getting from the level up of the [Parallel Thought] skill would be Perfectionism.
I already had Axel 2 which was my cautious personality and it would be a great addition if I acquire a parallel perfectionism personality from [Parallel Thought].
But of course, it would take some time before I could level up the [Parallel Thought] skill since it wouldn't be leveled up by normal means.
Unlike other passive abilities that would be leveled up by something that would trigger it to earn experience, the [Parallel Thought] skill was difficult to level up since the level up procedure wasn't mentioned nor obvious.
I only knew that I must be in some mental state to be able to level up the [Parallel Thought] skill.
Well anyways, I was almost at the border which was filled with danger, and being there would be tantamount to being near death's door.
I wouldn't go near the border unless the monster was located there since I was only a weakling at the eyes of the beings beyond the border.
Even though I'm weak, I was extremely resilient like a cockroach that as long as I had even one point of health point, I would rise and recover quickly.
I would be able to find some new skills to perform a grand comeback using my plug-in which was the system.
The system was my cheat code and as long as the presence of the system wasn't detected, it would be equal to playing fair since cheating was all about not getting caught.
As long as I didn't get caught, I wouldn't be called a cheater.
I planned to use every system point I had to buy numerous skills that were related to having an extra life which was similar to Satomi's immortality.
Satomi's immortality had infinite life but I'm sure that such skill wasn't available in the system shop so I could only get a skill that would increase my health regeneration, health, and life.
{You are getting sidetracked again. The enemy might be near so remain vigilant because I wouldn't always be able to help and alert you in times of danger.}
I heeded Axel 2's reminder so I increased my vigilance but I didn't use my [Mana Sense] skill since it would be intercepted by the monsters and it would result in me being caught.
It was much safer to use my senses to check up upon the surroundings instead of mana-related skills.
Any use of mana would be equal to the monsters discovering the mana flow being emitted by my body when I activated my skills.
I focused my concentration on my eyes which resulted in me seeing a clearer vision of the world around me.
I was able to see a huge tree that was half in size of the world tree from the Elven Continent.
At the top of the huge tree lied a huge nest with three eggs and for some reason, I had the urge to snatch the eggs and boil them.
It must be the egg of a powerful high-level monster and it must be a monster that could fly since it laid some eggs.
It also should be the monster that scared the heck out of the level 1000 bluebirds since it was out of its nest.
If only the system wasn't at a dormant state, it would have been able to identify and tell me the information about the ginormous bird egg that I had found.
Well, I might as well steal the egg before the bird appeared since it would be much faster to snatch it while the bird was still hunting.
I would be able to taste the unique flavor and obtain the rich nutrients from the huge bird egg.
I headed towards the bird egg and increased my velocity by harnessing the power of the winds to propel myself further into the top of the tree while diverting the wind in front of me which lessen the wind resistance.
By lessening the wind resistance, my speed would drastically increase and it resulted in me breaking the sound barrier since I had reached the speed of sound.
I instantly appeared at the top of the tree as if I was the new flash and I didn't waste any time so I quickly touched the bird eggs and store them in the system inventory.
Before leaving the nest to make a run for it, I first observed my surroundings since it would be possible that the mother bird would be watching me from afar.
After I had found out that the coast was clear, I quickly descended into the ground like a nuclear bomb being dropped from above.
I didn't use any skill to hover myself into the air which caused me to rapidly descending into the ground.
I was confident in my defense stat and even if I was damaged, I would only lose a few of my health points so it wasn't that much of a problem for me to take on the fall damage that I would receive.
I was rapidly descending into the ground and was only a few meters below the ground.
I quickly performed flips to reduce the impact of my fall and landed on the ground with my feet first.
My landing on the ground caused the ground to form a crater and the dust from the cracks of the ground was swept away by the impact of my fall.
I removed the dust in my clothes using my hand and quickly used my earth magic to restore the form of the crater into what it was before so that the monsters near the border wouldn't be able to see any evidence of my arrival.
Sure, I would be risking my neck out if I used mana but I would still be able to hide my presence quickly as long as I had withdrawn my mana in time.
I instantly removed my mana after I finished casting my earth magic to fill the crater that I had formed with soil.
After withdrawing my mana, I had noticed several gazes from the trees near me as if they were staring at tasty prey.
I tried to use the technique that was famous amongst ninjas which were shadow clones.
A replica of myself was formed by using my shadow and it was alive on top of that.
I would be able to fool the monsters in this part of the forest as long as the monster was none the wiser.
After I created my shadow clone, I quickly used my speed to instantly release a burst of speed which caused me to flicker out of my place as if it was instant teleportation.
The skill that I had copied from ninjas was known as the substitution technique and instead of using a small wooden log as a substitute, I used a shadow clone instead to make it more realistic.
I knew that the monsters near the boundary weren't intelligent enough to see through the shadow clone but they weren't that dumb not to notice the difference between myself and a log.
It was much safer and realistic to use a shadow clone so I used it instead and it worked like a charm.
I hid in a nearby bush and concealed both my scent using the leaves from the bush and dispersed the mana in my surrounding that had enough quantity to camouflage as the mana from the surroundings.
After spreading my mana for a kilometer, I formed several eyes using the mana and created mana lines that connected each mana eye.
The mana lines were then connected to my left eye so I was able to see what the mana eye saw.
I was now witnessing the upcoming battle of the monsters inside the bush while I was away from danger.
