Chapter 1: Chapter 1
It was a scene of out of a web novel. Human sized cockroaches walking out of closed cramped houses with corpses of family in their outlandishly long tentacle like appendages. The scene grew even more intense as the now All-mighty-cockroaches were being crushed one at a time by a creature that was the size of a two storey building. The creature wrecked havoc on the cockroaches as it suddenly shot a beam of something like gamma ray burst from its mouth. The tremor created by that creature's walk shook the earth when suddenly everything was dead silent.
The silence was broken by a figure standing at a distance, his golden aura seeping through the vast wasteland when he opens his mouth and says "Oh! the moster of the forbidden depths. I, the last heir of heavenly demon slayer clan, am here to sl-"
As I could not tolerate this dumb cringy shit anymore, I grabbed Luke by his collar and dragged him outside the movie hall as far away from this stupid 'The last hero' shit as soon as possible.
Luke grumbled as he said "we are going to miss the best part"
-"No, we are not going to miss anything" I said as I threw him into the car and drove away
"You know, you are such a mood killer. You have to ruin the experience just when the good part was about to start-"
"shut up
"Okay"
It was a long silent drive. Neither I nor Luke talked about anything. The vast scenery of the mountain, Forest and the night sky reminds me of when I first moved in to this country side mountain town at the age of 18, 7 years ago. The moment I stepped into this place I thought that I could finally rest in peace until I met Rosa.
She was one of the few people who, like me, came to enjoy the beauty and serenity oh this place. She was, to describe in a short notes, the most beautiful women I had ever seen. Her hazel eyes glowing in the warm sunlight, her cheeks always flushed with a colour of pink and her bitrthmark in shape of a moon right between the area between her forehead and right ear, which she would often cover with her wavering, seamlessly smooth dark black hair. She was someone straight out of a fairy tale, and right beside her was this mess of a person called Luke. I still remember this guy greeted with his hand still not washed of the peanut butter he ate earlier. But regardless he is good man. Apparently Luke and Rosa are cousins. When Luke's parents died, Rosa's family raised him. But tragically few tears later, Rosa's mother, her only family, passed away due to complications from a illness.

"Hey, check this out."
Luke shouted, as I turned my head in the direction where Luke was facing, shivers ran down my spine as I saw wild fire covering entire forest and mountain range. Luke and I composed ourselves and drove near the town. We frantically ran to our apartment complex only to realise it was already too late and fortunately every one had evacutaed already. So me and Luke arrive at the rescue shelter. Luke tries calling Rosa but her number was unavailable so we try to find her among the thousands of people. It was at that moment both of our fear came true and we realise she was not here.
