The Fraud Heir to The Strongest Clan

Chapter 114: Catastrophe

On the day Angelus escaped from the spirit realm, he awakened all the sleeping titans in the Callex Region. The Demon King killed anyone who stood in front of him with ease. Now, he had managed to return to Sekhtar and left a massive problem for Thevon Luxier to take care of.

Precisely because he would be the only one able to do anything at all to these gargantuan monsters.

Even his nearly infinite mana was beginning to wane just trying to stop the titans from getting past the Callex Region and massacre billions of humans in the capital under their feet. Zarria, the only person who was on par with him in terms of power, was also occupied with a behemoth wreaking havoc in the Selense Kingdom. It was the same giant Dheinyrus had singlehandedly killed back then, and in his absence, only on Zarria they could rely.

Thevon's clan members had long exhausted their mana. They even summoned all the magic casters in the empire just to try and incinerate these indestructible titans, but days later, Thevon was the only one remaining standing and slowing these giant creatures off.

Pouring all of his focus in every spell he casted, it rained fireballs in the Callex Region. Deadly spikes of ice could be seen protruding from the ground, some were melting and some could be seen piercing into the titan's ankles.

Nonstop storms tried to sweep the titans away into the opposite direction. While lightning and thunder hit their impenetrable skins.

For the first time, Thevon found a flesh that could withstand the full power of his light beam attack. The light magic was known to destroy anything, but when it hit the titans, it barely left a scratch.

Thevon hovered above the titans like a deity casting down apocalypse. With great frustration, he watched the titans eat all of his destructive elemental spells like they were basic magic.

He cast a barrage of pure white laser beams only for it to bounce off of their hides.

But as futile as it all may look, without Thevon, the titans would have reached Olcour Capital by now. His measly attacks had managed to keep these giants at bay for a long time, and hopefully, he would be able to continue doing this until Dheinyrus arrived.

Then suddenly, the morning sky darkened.

It was a different kind of dimness. Dominating even the darkness of the raging storm Thevon had created, it was as though the sun itself was shying away from the new burning star that had just appeared in the sky.

Thevon looked up and his eyes widened, both fear and curiosity filled his heart.

Up in the sky, a crimson star had just appeared.

It was there, glowing eerily like an impending cosmic catastrophe that would soon engulf the earth in its bloody flames. Thevon knew how impossible it was for a new heavenly body to just form out of nowhere.

Yet like a second sun, the crimson star dominated the sky, turning it a terrifying red and casting its blood glow down to earth.

"What the hell is that?" Thevon muttered.

Even though it looked like a star, Thevon figured that it was merely the size of the moon and was revolving around the earth like it did. That meant that it was suddenly created by someone — an artificial heavenly body.

His attention snapped back when he saw in the corner of his eyes a gigantic hand that was about to slap him midair.

Thevon flew sharply to the right and dodged the strike that would have killed him had it landed.

"This is really going no where."

After backing up a little bit, Thevon held his hands together. He contemplated whether to use this last resort, would it be worth it and would there be returning after doing it.

He held the rings on his fingers, hesitating to pull it off.

His thinking was interrupted when the red glow from the sky suddenly vanished — weakened like a flickering light. The white glow of the sun eventually returned and the depressing darkness of the storm covered the Callex Region once more.

'Something must be happening in Sekhtar,' he thought.

Dheinyrus must be currently battling Angelus who had just arrived at Sekhtar. Like Thevon, he was also doing his best to protect the people.

Thevon clenched his jaws and his heart started racing. That thought somehow pushed him into making a decision once and for all.

He stopped all of his spells and flew right in the center of the horde of titans. The Light Clan members flying in the distance, watching and waiting for a chance to assist Thevon, were shocked by what he had just done. And they dreaded what he was about to do...

Thevon shouted:

"Everyone!!! Get out of Callex! Inform the others that I'm going to take off my limiters!"

They looked at each other with worried expressions including his father, Raven Luxier.

This was a day they thought would never come. But alas, after seeing the titans being unaffected by everything they had done and tried, they understood that this might be the only way to stop these marching giants of death...

Hence, the Luxiers fled the area and focused on warning everyone of the catastrophe that was about to come.

Thevon was aware of the sheer amount of destruction that he was going to inflict on the world. It goes without saying that even his own life might come as a cost to this daring decision.

Nevertheless, the scion of light slowly pulled out the rings from his fingers one by one.

The first one came off.

And immediately, a shift in the environment was felt from miles away.

The entire Callex Region was a lush forest. And the moment Thevon removed one ring from his finger, all the trees instantly withered. Thevon absorbed all life force in the area including the smallest critters and insects. And even then, it seemed like it still wasn't enough. The all-devouring void that was Thevon's mana capacity hungered for the universe itself, sucking everything it considered to be a fuel for magic.

At the same moment, the titans suddenly stopped. Their muscled flesh was somehow drying out as the minerals and energy from them were being absorbed by Thevon.

He was feeling it too. The overwhelming distortion in his mind caused by the surging mana sounded like screams and cries of suffering.

But as expected, it was still not enough. The titans were still moving.

So, Thevon removed the second ring.

He let out a scream of agony when the amount of mana entering his body far surpassed what reality itself could allow.

When all the elements fought for their place in Thevon's body, the reality-shattering occurrence caused a void to appear and it sucked in all particles around it. A hurricane formed which pulled everything to the center. It was flaming in between swirling winds. Lightning bolts danced around the icy hurricane turning the entire region into a hostile environment for any form of life.

Out of strength, the titans had no choice but to be dragged into the devouring void. Thevon soared higher into the sky and everything in the Callex Region was absorbed by the void that followed him.

Soon, the titans were being reduced to thin strips as the void sucked them in. Amidst the thunderstorm, piercing winds whirled and cut them up, the intense flames burned them. Deadly shards of ice that even flames couldn't burn stabbed their skins.

From afar, it looked like the world itself was ending. Thevon Luxier was at the center of it all like a catalyst of destruction. Nothing stood a chance against the sheer force of his mana capacity.

Everything including the ground was beginning to fly up and enter the singular void. The titans tried holding on to whatever they could to prevent themselves from completely being erased from existence, but there was nothing to hold on to. Even the earth itself would be erased if Thevon's limiters were not put back.

And eventually, most of the titans were completely devoured without a trace. The last of them didn't give up and struggled, but as long as the one above the void was alive, they will surely meet the same fate as the other titans who perished helplessly.

Perish they did. Thevon kept screaming in pain as the last of the titans were being sucked into the void which devoured even the light that came from the sun.

And with that, not a single titan was left.

But a new problem arose.

As long as Thevon didn't wear his rings, he would continue to destroy everything and suck the life out of everything on this planet.

The scion of light was frozen in the sky, screaming in agony while threatening to end the world. Raven Luxier and the others watched helplessly from afar his son's fate unfolded.

Raven whispered to himself:

"Would I have to kill my own son?"

Suddenly, he felt a hand tap his shoulder.

Axerion Theocheirós appeared beside him without a warning and said:

"Fortunately, you wouldn't."
