The First Legendary Dragon Tamer

Draco was excited, to say the least.

He had gained so much from this experience that it completely dwarfed his previous achievements. He now had an additional Breath at his disposal, making his total six. Nyx had advanced in Rank and had also set a precedent that his other Dragons could do the same.

His strength was rising at an astronomical rate.

However, he wasn't satisfied just yet.

While he was observing Nyx, who was excited about her new Rank and Breath, he commanded the rest of his Dragons to pick up all the Dragonhearts scattered around the underground cavern and lake.

For the ones that were still inside the corpses, he taught them how to harvest them properly.

The uncaptured Rank 1 Water Dragons at his disposal helped search the lake, while Preto was in charge of the land areas. Verdantia was busy nursing her children, so he didn't disturb her.

When everything was gathered, they numbered several dozen.

"This is… a lot."

The previous battle had been intense, but Draco knew there were far fewer casualties compared to the Dragonhearts he was seeing.

However, he quickly understood where the rest came from.

'Verdantia had been fighting for the lake for quite some time. She must have killed her fair share of Water Dragons… which is why there were a lot more Dragonhearts.'

He had to thank Verdantia once again.

Not only did she give him his most useful Breath, but she also contributed to his wealth.

'As for what I am going to do with these Dragonhearts…' A crooked smile formed on Draco's face as he stared blankly into space.

The thought of handing them over to the authorities had crossed his mind, but he already considered how badly it could end for him if he fell under suspicious eyes due to his unreal levels of achievement.

Besides, Draco was feeling rather selfish at the moment.

After experiencing his sharp increase in strength, he felt a strong desire to keep ascending.

'And what better way to accomplish that if not by using the System Shop?" His lips curled up even more as he commanded the System to show him its goods.

Draco had all of Luke's memories, so he naturally knew about the System Shops.

He also knew the System offered certain items that could improve his strength. Luke hadn't been interested in those items, but Draco was different—his desire for strength was only dwarfed by his hatred for Dragons.

In some ways, they were even complementary.

"Hahaha!" Draco laughed very loudly, almost as though he was courting insanity. "This is excellent! Perfect! What a wonderful day this has been!"

The System Shop that flashed before his eyes was only slightly different from the one Luke had seen, but the changes were more than enough to elicit a feeling of genuine joy.

Unlike with Luke, it appeared he could not only make purchases, but he could also sell things.

'I currently have zero SP thanks to Luke using all of it for himself, and it seems the System won't distribute the rewards for completing the Quests until Luke logs out. Luke will probably use all of that SP, leaving nothing for me, so it's a good thing I have this method…'

—A method for him to gain SP for himself!

'I have Dragonhearts to sell, and I also have a few Rank 1 Water Dragons that aren't particularly useful for anything…' Draco found all of these to be viable things he could sell in the Shop, and he didn't hesitate to make the transaction.

He even considered selling the hatchlings, but after thinking about it clearly, he chose not to.

Verdantia's Breath was incredibly useful, so he knew these children of his would become very important to him once they grew older. If he sold them now, they would go for very cheap, so it wasn't a great financial choice.

'Let's think of this as an investment. I should hold off on doing anything to these kids for now…'

After calculating all the things he sold—the seven uncaptured Rank 1 Water Dragons and over fifty Dragonhearts—he was given his sum of SP.

"W-whoa!" To say Draco was surprised would be an understatement.

He never expected to earn so much SP!

In fact, with just this transaction, he had amassed far more SP than Luke had gotten from completing Quests. At first, he had been jealous of Luke's control over the bulk of the SP, but now he held no complaints in his heart.

"Do you see that, Luke?" Draco grinned wildly. "All of this SP is mine to do with as I please!"

Of course, Draco already knew what he would use his SP for.

He needed to grow stronger, which meant he would have to upgrade himself and the Dragons he had as his subordinates.

'I should start immediately!'

Draco left the <Sell> section of the System Shop and tapped the <Buy> panel.

Once again, he was shown a list of things—a page very similar to what he recalled from Luke's memories. He could also see a lot of things that had been locked for Luke, but were available to him.

Draco guessed this was because he was in Te'rah and Luke was on Earth.

It could also have to do with his increase in Level.

Either way, Draco didn't care.

He first of all started with increasing his Stats, especially his Aptitude, since that was what controlled how much Essence he had and how quickly he could recover it. Of course, he also improved his Physique and Integrity, but his main emphasis was on Essence.

'1 Stat is priced at 5 SP. If I get 148 Stat Points, that's 740 SP. I'll still be left with 405 SP for my Dragons…' Draco calculated all the costs while going through the shop.

He had everything planned out.

"Let's do it!" He confirmed his purchase and watched the SP drain from his account, not even feeling a sense of loss after it was over.

Instead, a rush of power swelled within him, and he laughed with vigor.

"Hahaha! That's what I'm talking about!" It was indeed a worthy investment.

He had successfully improved his strength far beyond the limits of his current Level, and even after he was done, he still had sufficient SP to spend on his Dragons.
