The First Cultivator - Changing Existence

The nothingness seemed to warp around Hun Wu.

Hun Wu waved his hand around, and the nothingness moved to his will. It was much like how many cultivators could manipulate space, but this was on an entirely different level than spatial manipulation.

The nothingness began to pour into Hun Wu's body. Zhou Fan felt his strength increase countless times every single instant.

Eventually, he gave off the aura of a Chaos Immortal. And the nothingness did not stop. However, Hun Wu was incapable of going to the next realm. The nothingness soon began to overwhelm his body, tearing it apart.

Zhou Fan took action. Chaos Qi sprouted from his hands, pushing the nothingness back. Zhou Fan had never seen it act like this. If he didn't know any better, he would imagine it had a consciousness.

Despite using his power, the nothingness still fought with all of its might, displaying a strength no inferior to Zhou Fan's.

Hun Wu's body was torn apart, turning inhuman.

The nothingness was trying to find a balance between existence and nonexistence.

When the nothingness stopped, Hun Wu had turned into a mass of nothingness. Countless eyes filled his body, making him seem like a monster.

Hun Luan trembled. It was this monster, the existence he had seen in his vision, the one he had spent so many years training to fight.

Zhou Fan also recognized it.

He could call it coincidence, but that would be nothing but a cop out answer.

Zhou Fan looked closer, and he could tell the nothingness had been reading Hun Wu's thoughts. It had been so hidden even Zhou Fan hadn't detected it.

In fact, ever since Hun Wu had entered the nothingness, the nothingness had taken over his consciousness, forming its own.

Hun Luan burst out with power as the nothingness being moved towards the Multiverse.

He had been fated to fight this monster from the start.

Just as he moved, he saw Zhou Fan flash by him.

With a kick, the nothingness being was sent into the Universe.

Countless beings were devoured in an instant, but compared to the size of the Multiverse, it was like a fly in an ocean.

Zhou Fan looked up. "This is repayment for when I destroyed you. We are equal."

He was speaking to the Multiverse.

Could he let Hun Luan fight this being? Yes. But Hun Luan would almost certainly lose.

This being was giving off a feeling eerily similar to the Cosmic Dao from long ago. And after breaking Hun Wu's body, it was able to push itself to the High Immortal realm.

Naturally, it could only do this because Zhou Fan had formed the path already. If it wanted to go higher, even pouring an endless amount of nothingness into this body wouldn't help.

Regardless, this was something beyond Hun Luan's capability to fight.

Lu Jue appeared.

A giant sun appeared that smashed down onto the creature, eliciting high pitched screams from it.

Zhou Fan nodded at him. "If we both take action, this won't take too long."

Just as those words came out of his mouth, Lu Jue was sent flying.

He was pressed against the wall of the Multiverse by a shoe on his neck.

He looked over, and saw an annoyingly familiar face.

"Ye Li."

Ye Li looked at him with a smirk as Lu Jue burst out with power.

If this had been the past, Ye Li would have lost to Lu Jue in the same realm.

But Ye Li had changed.

Despite both being High Immortals, Lu Jue could not suppress him as easily as he should've been able to.

"Our battle is finally getting started." Ye Li said.

Zhou Fan could not spare much attention on the two.

The nothingness being was focused on him completely, and its power was annoyingly effective.

But he was not truly fighting alone.

From above, Leaf descended.

Countless roots tore through the nothingness being as though it was hot butter.

An endless tree that spanned the entirety of the Multiverse formed, outsizing the nothingness beings like a fly in an ocean.

Green power descended like a tornado, showing surprising effectiveness against the nothingness being.

Zhou Fan took the opportunity to create a slash reaching from the top of the Multiverse to the bottom out of the Power of Cultivation.

The nothingness being was completely unable to fight against the combined power of the two.

Just as everything was about to end peacefully, Hun Luan jumped on top of the nothingness being, filled with anger.

"Give me back my brother!" He shouted as he punched down using the power of Chaos.

"Leave, fool!" Zhou Fan shouted as he attacked again.

But he was too late. The nothingness being barely reacted to Hun Luan's attack, and it immediately devoured him.

The slash hit the nothingness being, almost bisecting it entirely, but it instantly fused back together, a transformation taking place.

All beings turned their heads as a faint aura appeared on the nothingness being. Zhou Fan, Leaf, Ye Li, Lu Jue, even the most supreme powerhouses couldn't stop their heads from turning.

Zhou Fan was the first to understand a bit of what this aura was.

Nothingness was the power of non existence. All things that touched it would cease to exist. It itself didn't technically exist.

Chaos was the power of everything condensed into one. From Chaos, the Universe was born and all things were created. From Chaos Qi, all Qi's were born, and cultivators were created.

Chaos represented existence, nothingness represented non existence.

When these two powers perfectly fused, something beyond any beings greatest imagination was formed.

The nothingness being instantly stopped moving. When it froze, it felt as if all things froze.

The Multiverse, mortals, cultivators, immortals, Ye Li, Leaf, Lu Jue, Zhou Fan.

Something was birthed within the Universe that should have never existed in the first place.

Something that heralded the end. And it was all because of the birth of a pair of brothers.
