The fight for supremacy

After Gyan left with the old man,the clear sky suddenly darkened forcing all those who were nearby to retreat in fear. The appearance of the tribulation clouds meant that someone was advancing to the next realm. After being in the peak of the Return to Origin realm for so long,Kyrion was finally about to advance to the creator realm. Gyan has always been a demon in his heart which stopped his advancement but with him now gone he could finally take that final step and advance to the next realm. Despite all of this he still had a calm expression on his face as he stared at the tribulation clouds in disdain which he did not bother to hide. It seems the tribulation clouds sensed this and the power of the tribulation clouds brewing grew stronger. Even this did not threaten him as he still maintained his nonchalant expression while staring in the direction the old man went. After a while he sighed and prepared himself to face off against the tribulation and to ascending to a new realm.

(Those whom have already defeated should never dream of defeating me or even catching up to me. They should not even gain the chance of seeing my back)Kyrion said inwardly as he rose to the sky. He faced off against the tribulation calmly. The whole world witnessed the birth of a new creator realm expert. A realm most people thought was legendary was finally achieved and Kyrion became a legendary figure as he ascended to the realm above the heavens.

100years later....

A figure in black robes is seen seated on a cliff with a carefree expression on his face and a lady in purple clothes is seated besides him with her head lying on his shoulders. The man has no cultivation and his aura was flickering as if he might die the next moment. The man was Gyan who was now a spent lamp that barely had any fight left in him. Gyan stared at the sky with a smile." After so long,how do you think he is doing?" Gyan asked while still staring at the sky." I guess he is fine. He was already strong and he is a cultivation genius so he will definitely survive in that plane. Why are you even still worrying about him?" The lady in purple Anya asked as she stared at Gyan with pity evident in her eyes. Gyan did not bother to reply rather he extended his right hand and hugged Anya with a smile on his face.

"I pity the heavens for not pitying you yet I pity myself more for I am unable to keep you company. Pardon my love my failure to keep you company. If life gives me another chance to keep you company I'd spent the whole of it keeping you company. Ruthless heavens will offers no smooth and flat path. Hopefully I will dance in my own madness in the next life and won't be bound by fate," Gyan said with tears in his eyes. Meanwhile Anya could not meet his gaze but she felt his emotions the same way Gyan felt her emotions.

For the first time Gyan's eyes were overflowing with tears. He had always thought that he didn't fear death but today he felt that dying for some reason was not as he thought it would be. His heart was aching. Not that he feared death; infact it was the opposite. Gyan did not expect that at the end of his life he would be held down by love. This was completely unexpected. Gyan stood up from the cliff with Anya in his arms. The duo walked together hand in hand as they left the cliff. Gyan took only a few steps before he soon started disappearing. His essence was now returning to the world and his spirit was long extinguished. He was already grateful that he had managed to live for this long already. He had no regrets. He,Gyan,can afford to make mistakes or even worse decisions but he would never regret his decisions. To him it did not matter what he did as long as he felt that he was right then it was right. To him it did not matter and it never mattered. In this world who is right and who is wrong is just based on the perspective of everyone. The cultivation world was never a good place rather it was a dog eat dog world with the strong preying n the weak. Even he Gyan could not claim that he has not killed the wrong person but to him all those that he killed in his lifetime deserved death so he felt no pity for them nor did he pity himself when faced with his death. He only felt sad that he had to leave behind his loved ones and that was all. As his figure slowly disappeared from view the image of a golden dragon also appeared and it's scales fell from the sky . The dragon roared in agony as it stared at the world in disdain for one more time. It's roar shook even the heavens and the mountains were overturned. The dragon soared to the heavens one more time as it's scales fell off. This was it's final showcase of strength. This was Gyan's primordial spirit that was finally returning to its roots. After soaring to the sky the dragon stared at Anya with a gentle gaze for one more time and decided to leave behind one of its scales to her.

The old man who had rescued Gyan stared at the disappearing figure of the dragon and sighed before closing his eyes as he tried to peek into the heavenly secrets one more time but all he received was a strong backlash that left him severely wounded." The end of an era. Who would've thought that his death would decide the beginning of a new era. How unlucky! It seems after all is said and done he still couldn't fight against his destiny," the old man said as he sat back in a lotus position while regulating his breath.

One year after Gyan's death ,Anya also mysteriously disappeared and his parents also disappeared with his father going to the netherworld to look for the soul of Gyan. Since then no one had of him but a catastrophe took place a hundred years later that led to the fall of the Guardiola family which was Gyan's family and one of the guardian families of the upper heavens. What happened remained a mystery and no one knew of what happened or what caused their downfall. The Guardiola family fell from power and if not for the emperor of the upper heavens they would've been completely annihilated but they survived at a price. All the senior members of the Guardiola family and all the experts at the God realms were 'taken in' by the royal family thereby causing the power of the family to fall to a second grade family .

300years later.....

The death of Gyan marked the end of the ancient era and also the beginning of a new era. The empire underwent a number of changes with the Guardiola family barely being able to keep and protect its legacy. The fight between Gyan and Kyrion remained a legendary that went down in history with Gyan who at that time was an overlord was able to fight against an expert at the peak of the Return to Origin realm which was against the norms. 300 years later no one even remembers the names of these legendary figures and even most of the records concerning them being incomplete so there was no way to trace their history.

After three hundred years Anya who had long disappeared also finally ascended to the creation realm all for the sake of vengeance. Even though Gyan told her and would probably be against her for setting out to get revenge for him she still did it. Just as she was ascending to the creator realm an image of a dragon appeared before her as the scale that was always kept in her pouch flew to where the dragon was.

"Anya, I always knew you were always too stubborn and would barely listen to my words. When you are seeing this it means you have successfully gone past that realm and have finally reached new heights. I am proud of you. Live your life. I will definitely come back. This is my promise so wait for me. Don't get driven by revenge and then let it not consume or else you will disappoint me. My woman can afford to be willful but you can't afford to lose your life in a new place. I am the human dragon. I forgot my origins so how was I supposed to return to my origin? Unfortunately it is too late to regret it now and I never regret my options or that would not be me. Take care if yourself and wait for me.
