Ji Yi's food isn't all that great.

Li Yan doesn't have much interaction with him, maybe just met him once at Yu Xiaodi's house, and then yesterday Yu Xiaodi helped out a bit. She probably mentioned her own troubles. So, after hanging up the phone, he could pretty much guess the real reason for meeting up was Yu Hong.

However, Li Yan wasn't feeling guilty, even knowing it was Yu Hong, he agreed. Yesterday's encounter was just a coincidence, what's there to be guilty about?

After enduring a few hours, he gradually sent off the arriving filmmakers and clients one by one.

"Inefficiency is one thing, but make sure it doesn't turn negative." Wen Qianyi indicated with her chewing gum, speaking with a sense of indication.

"How could it be? Are you worried I'll go to sleep and throw all the project books away?"

"That won't happen, but I bet quite a few people want to invite you for dinner, drinks, or even gifts of women today? Are there any plans for action tonight, should we schedule it?" Wen Qianyi blinked, her tone gentle but exuding a strong aura of someone who sees through everything, though still with a soft demeanor that leaves one helpless to resist.

Chewing his gum, Li Yan laughed, then said seriously, "Since the supervisor sees through it, I won't hide it. Indeed, initially, two invitations for dinner and drinks came. You know how shy I am, even though I secretly like it, how could I admit this openly?"

Wen Qianyi innocently laughed, "Did I say anything? It was you who admitted it yourself."

Seeing it was time to get off work, Li Yan didn't argue anymore, "Alright, I'll admit I'm willing but unable."

Ji Yi mentioned a place, in a restaurant a few streets away from the city government. Li Yan arrived but couldn't find a parking spot, eventually parking his car under a sign that said "No temporary parking."

As soon as he stepped out, a consultant girl approached him, "Excuse me, sir, please look at the sign on the wall, no temporary parking here."

Li Yan responded with a smile, very politely, "No worries, I won't park temporarily, I'll park for a long time."

"..." The girl was speechless.

Since Ji Yi had already reserved the room, Li Yan went straight inside to wait, sending a message to Zhang Yurong, informing her that he was out having dinner with friends and would return later.

Li Yan wasn't expecting them to arrive early. But due to the rush hour traffic getting here, plus finding the place, he spent quite a bit of time. Eventually, after waiting for over half an hour, Ji Yi called saying he'd be there shortly.

A few minutes later, the door to the private room opened, and several people walked in. The one at the front was Ji Yi, who had called Li Yan. As soon as he entered, he warmly and familiarly greeted him, "Li Yan, you came so early, have you been waiting long?"

"Not really." Li Yan looked at the two people who came in behind him, both familiar faces. One was the one he expected, Yu Hong, the other was someone he hadn't guessed but had met, the security captain Zhou Yunfei from Yu Xiaodi's house.

Li Yan could guess Yu Hong's intention of coming; it should be about Yu Xiaodi's issues, coming to discuss with him. Ji Yi was the intermediary contact. But what about Zhou Yunfei? To protect him?

Seeing Yu Hong bringing two henchmen, Li Yan felt a bit like it was a setup, but he didn't care, greeting them with a warm smile.

"A pleasure." Li Yan nodded at Zhou Yunfei and then spoke to Yu Hong, "Yu Hong inviting me for dinner, it's my honor, how could I dare not come?"
