Chapitre 271: Heaven Before Hell / Innocence
Shakti's eyes fluttered open after what felt like the longest and most satisfying nap of her life.
The lethargy and relaxation she felt was so inviting that she thought she was still dreaming. She didn't recognize the ceiling she was staring at, but honestly, she didn't care.
Her body had grown used to the dull aches she'd developed over the course of her training.
But now, all of that was being washed away by the comforts enveloping her. Soft, scented sheets. Fluffy pillows. Warm blankets and… a tail?
Ever so slightly, Shakti turned her head to the side.
There, she found Taira in bed with her and enveloping her with his tails.
His face was so close to hers. His breathing remained even and steady.
He was asleep. Truly. And at this moment, Shakti realized that she had never seen him without his guard up.
He had always seemed so… divine to her. Like an immortal already descended from the lower realm.
But he was just a man.
Admittedly, a very handsome man, but a man nonetheless.
Shakti had often thought him beyond her grasp.
But with him here, like this, she grew to believe that maybe that was not the case at all.
That thought made her happy. In a way that few things could.
Shakti heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom.
She strained her neck to look up without waking the man beside her.
The door creaked open, and Aveena stepped out with a towel around her shoulders.
Shakti was hopelessly stunned by the droplets of water that clung to her bare form.
Or perhaps that was all she would allow herself to focus on, since she clearly couldn't turn her head away.
If she let her mind slip, she would think too much about Aveena's form.
It was different from how she'd imagined when she was alone.
Aveena's body was distinctly powerful and feminine. Neither aspect overtook the other.
Both imbued desire into those who were lucky enough to behold it.
Shakti wasn't much different.
"Despite how it may seem, I can be a bit shy, you know?"
The spell over Shakti was broken, and she immediately averted her gaze.
"Pardon me, my lady… I was just-"
"My lady?"
Aveena crossed the bedroom gracefully and sat beside Shakti on the edge of the bed.
She leaned over her figure and gently brushed aside the hair covering her face.
Shakti's wide red eyes stared back at her. As beautiful as rubies and twice as bright.
"I do hope you're using that term in a possessive sense and not a formal one. It'd hurt my feelings otherwise."
Shakti swallowed. Having a secret affair was nowhere near as easy as she thought it'd be.
"I…"
Aveena smiled and placed her fingers over her lips. "Let's just… start with Aveena for now. We'll figure everything else out as it goes."
It was all Shakti could do to nod.
A thought bubbled into her mind, and she lifted her covers to glance underneath it.
She was still in her sleeping pants.
"I suppose then that we did not..?"
"No." Aveena chuckled. "Perhaps we might've, but you fell asleep as soon as your head hit the bed."
Shakti knew very few words that could properly articulate the level of embarrassment she currently felt.
She wanted to crawl under these blankets and die.
"No need to be embarrassed." Aveena laughed. "It's.. probably for the best. Don't want to rush something that sweet, do we?"
"Odd to hear you say that when you were about to jump her in her sleep."
The girls looked to their side and found Taira staring at them from a reclined position.
"What happened to husband and wife confidentiality??" Aveena punched him.
"It doesn't apply when there's a chance to embarrass you, my darling."
"Oh, you enjoy embarrassing me, do you? Well, maybe I might start to enjoy skinning foxes!"
Aveena leapt on top of Taira and straddled him.
What began as a bit of playful biting and jostling slowly evolved into more.
To Shakti, it was as if she blinked and the two of them were suddenly kissing.
She couldn't take her eyes off the scene.
Her watching must have interfered with the mood a bit, because slowly the duo pulled apart and stared at her with wry looks on their faces.
"...Something on your mind?"
Shakti almost blurted out 'no' and demanded that they keep kissing. If only to fuel her fantasies and wet dreams.
But maybe there was a better option.
"I... maybe."
Shakti sat up in bed and got on her knees.
She placed her hands on her thighs and sat with perfect posture as if she were in the middle of a prospective marriage meeting.
"I would like... that... I-I mean what you two were just... to me.. u-unless I'm... "
Taira and Aveena could literally see Shakti's brain beginning to overheat. They found her hopelessly cute.
Aveena reached for the young woman's neck and pulled her in.
An electrifying sensation ran from Shakti's lips to the base of her spine.
A dull heat arose in her stomach and circulated throughout her lower body.
Her mind went white. The only thing she was aware of was the sensation of her own lips.
A tongue slipped into her mouth and gave her a small shock.
The surprise led her to attempt to pull away, but Aveena cupped her butt and held her firm. She couldn't escape if she wanted to, and she was becoming increasingly unsure that she did.
For a moment, there was a brief respite.
While her mind was in a breathless haze, she was passed from one partner to another.
Taira's lips were familiar to her, but no less intoxicating.
The familiar velvety sensation gave her an intense euphoria that made the heat in her body run rampant. A heat that was only worsened by Aveena's well-placed kisses along her neck.
They were greedy with her lips; they would alternate between who got to take them rather frequently.
Shakti, her mind ajumble and her heart full, was overtaken.
Her body slumped over in Taira's grasp just as he was about to pass her back to Aveena.
Both of them slowly pulled themselves out of their passion-fueled haze to stare at Shakti's slouched form.
"...I think she... overheated."
Aveena slowly blinked before falling into a giggling fit.
"Oh, everyone is going to love her."
-
Taira and Aveena stepped outside of their cabin with a slice of heaven still lingering on their lips.
The thought of what just happened was uplifting. It gave them an extra reason to wrap things up quickly.
And hopefully, without too much fallout.
"I think our first date should be somewhere nice. Like a good tea house."
Aveena was still rolling out date ideas even as Taira and Aveena stood on the bow of the ship.
"I think she might like something with a quiet atmosphere... but a teahouse may be a little much. Something so lavish might not sit well with her."
"An opera house, then? Raymond told me that she loves music."
"Actually... that may not be a very bad idea."
Nodding in confirmation, Taira and Aveena grabbed each other's hands.
They started to jump overboard when they suddenly heard the sound of footsteps.
"Wait!"
Saanvi, Himari, and Sawyer rushed towards their masters frantically.
"Almost thought we'd miss you... We're coming with." Himari said firmly.
In an instant, Aveena lost her lovestruck attitude and regained her domineering and authoritative attitude.
"Are you now...?"
The three humans trembled, but they didn't back down.
"...We are." Saanvi repeated. "If everything that you said is true, then they're going to try and treat you like livestock down there. We can't let them treat you like that."
Aveena cracked a small smile.
"So what then? If we get hassled on the street, you're going to tell them you are our owners?"
Both of the girls paled.
"Hell no." Sawyer denied. "We're going to knock heads and make those motherfuckers behave."
""...."" Taira and Aveena were stunned into silence.
In unison, the pair turned to one another to see if they wore the same amount of shock on their faces.
Seconds later, they burst into a fit of laughter.
Saanvi, Himari, and Sawyer felt like they were seeing a unicorn piss gold.
Taira didn't laugh. Aveena didn't either. They gave hellish training instructions that made you consider killing yourself, but they didn't laugh.
"I suppose we should take it as a bit of a compliment." Aveena wiped a running tear from her eye. "My master's dream has been in some part realized if the three of you are willing to take up for us in such a manner."
For the first time, Aveena showed the trio glimpses of her true personality.
She gave them the same bright, warm smile that made her family fall in love with her.
"You've all made me quite happy today. Thank you."
The trio smiled back in response.
"But maybe it's because I know you're all still so young that I'm reluctant to let you play the role of my defenders. I guess this is what it's like to accept responsibility for someone.... I feel compelled to protect your innocence as long as I can."
Aveena gave her husband's hand a squeeze.
Smiling at his disciples, Taira raised his arm.
Saanvi took a step back.
"Dai-Shi, please-"
"Sleep."
