The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon!

Chapter 39 Isolde Garrison's Nightmare

The Garrison Family.

Ever since Timothy Garrison went mad that night and smashed nearly millions worth of antiques, he hadn't been himself afterward.

Adding to that, at the banquet, Luca Jennings publicly declared he no longer had any ties with the Garrison Family, and in the past two days, several companies had severed their partnerships with the Garrison Clan.

Timothy Garrison fell ill immediately.

Emma White had fallen ill even earlier, getting sick the night she returned home.

With two members of the Garrison Family down, Josiah Garrison had no choice but to temporarily take over company affairs, keeping himself so busy that he could barely touch the ground. As a result, he barely left the company yesterday when he unexpectedly collided with another car, fracturing his arm.

Compared to the three of them, Isolde Garrison's situation was worse.

She had been having the same nightmare for two consecutive days.

Under the dark sky, the rooftop of an abandoned school building, a young girl's lower body was almost soaking in blood, her eyes desperately pleading as she looked at her.

Lastly, there was the rooftop door she hastily closed.

It seemed she could still hear the girl's sorrowful cries beside her ears,

"Save me... I beg you, save me..."

That voice seemed right next to her ear.

Isolde Garrison suddenly opened her eyes, and was startled to find the blood-stained girl sitting right at her bedside, her eyes filled with bloody tears, glaring at her...

"Aaaaaahhh!!"

Isolde Garrison's scream almost echoed through the entire Garrison Family's villa in the dead of night.

In no time, the door was opened, and Emma White quickly walked in, looking weak due to her illness.

"Isolde... Isolde, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"

Isolde Garrison immediately threw herself into Emma White's arms, starting to cry mournfully.

Emma White comforted her, her voice filled with concern, "Don't be afraid, Isolde. Tell Mommy, did you have a nightmare?"

Isolde Garrison continued to hold Emma White, only able to nod with tears.

Emma White gently pulled her out of her embrace, still speaking softly, "Did you dream of me?"

As Isolde Garrison looked up, Emma White's appearance suddenly transformed into that of the pale-faced girl with bloody tears.

"Aaaaaahhh!"

The scream echoed through the entire villa once more.

Timothy Garrison entered shortly after, and Isolde Garrison cried again. Then Timothy Garrison also transformed into the girl's appearance.

Isolde Garrison was on the verge of losing her mind.

For two consecutive days, she had these dreams within dreams, and Isolde Garrison's spirit broke down all at once, unable to discern whether she was dreaming or awake.

As a result, upon seeing Emma White in her clear mind, her instinct was to pick up something and throw it at her.

Unable to stay in the house any longer, Isolde Garrison changed her clothes and hurried out.

But behind her, the villa seemed shrouded in a dark cloud, as if not a single ray of sunlight from the bright summer day could reach the Garrison Family.

As Isolde Garrison left, the shadows tangled behind her relished a bit of black air that stained wherever she went.

...

Meanwhile, Lydia Patterson had just been snubbed by Scarlett Jennings, and returned home with a dark expression.

Just as he got out of the car, a figure suddenly lunged at him.

Her eyes were bloodshot, her eye bags drooping, her complexion sallow, eerily resembling an Evil Ghost.

For a moment, Lydia Patterson really thought he had seen a ghost in broad daylight and instinctively pushed the person away.

Until he heard a familiar yet aggrieved call,

"Patterson!"

Lydia Patterson then realized that the person was actually Isolde Garrison!

He looked at the disheveled figure before him, in the state of two days and nights without sleep, entirely unrecognizable from the little Princess of the Garrison Family she originally was, and his mouth twitched, "Why do you look like this?"

Isolde Garrison's spirits had been fraught with torment over these two days, and upon hearing his words, she immediately began to cry pitifully again.

While weeping, she flung herself into Lydia Patterson's arms, "Patterson, I've been having nightmares these past two days, I can't take it anymore, boo hoo hoo..."

Lydia Patterson looked somewhat impatiently at the crying Isolde Garrison in his arms.

Before he ran into Scarlett Jennings again, he believed he had made the right choice.

Yet upon seeing Scarlett Jennings, he found that the current Isolde Garrison indeed paled in comparison to her in every aspect.

She wasn't as pretty as her, wasn't as sweet-tempered, and now even her sole redeeming family background couldn't compare.

As Lydia Patterson considered whether he ought to fully abandon Isolde Garrison, he hesitated no longer.

Originally, he thought that, owing to his flattering position in Scarlett Jennings' heart, as long as he gave her a chance, she would eagerly become his girlfriend.

But today's attitude from Scarlett Jennings made him realize that he was overshooting.

Mouthing off likely wouldn't let Scarlett trust him.

He had to give tangible proof of his intentions.

First off, he had to break off with Isolde...

Unaware of Lydia Patterson's plans, Isolde Garrison clung to him while recounting her nightmares from the past two days.

She kept on about her fear, her words tangled in incoherence, leaving Lydia Patterson unable to comprehend a single word.

Only feeling that Isolde Garrison was indeed too delicate.

Though it was just a nightmare, she still required his comforting.

Thinking of this, Lydia Patterson reinforced the idea that a delicate and fragile little Princess like Isolde Garrison wasn't suited for him.

Having formed his decision, he straightforwardly released her.

"Isolde, stop crying, let's get in the car, we'll talk somewhere else."

The front of the villa was hardly a private location, and having made up his mind to break up, Lydia Patterson naturally wouldn't invite her into his house, nor would he want lingering gossip to spread about them.

Isolde Garrison was preoccupied by her nightmares, paying no mind to Lydia Patterson's preference for a distant spot, obediently following him into the car.

Inside, she continued clutching his arm, one of dependency.

Lydia Patterson felt a bit awkward and guilty.

This girl, totally absorbed by him, would be devastated if he broke up with her.

However, there was simply no alternative.

With that thought, Lydia Patterson buried his impatience, resolving that even a breakup should be dignified.

"Isolde, actually, you didn't have to come looking for me; I intended to find you."

Isolde Garrison, with her dark circles, looked up, "Patterson, I knew you were thinking about me."

Lydia Patterson looked at the blue underneath her eyes, finding the current Isolde Garrison utterly unpresentable. He gave a dry cough, still trying to pull his arm away from her grasp.

"There's something I want to tell you."

Neither of them noticed as the strands of black mist on Isolde Garrison entwined themselves around Lydia Patterson's arm while she held onto it, tangling like threads even as he drew back.

Finally, Isolde Garrison sensed that something was off with Lydia Patterson's attitude.

She cautiously asked, "Patterson, what do you want to tell me?"

Lydia Patterson sighed, saying, "Isolde, I think we're not suitable for each other."

His words fell, and before Isolde Garrison could react, the driver in front suddenly let out a startled cry.

The two turned their heads instinctively, only to see a car on the opposite side rushing straight toward them...

"Boom!"

The two cars collided violently.

The resounding noise reverberated through the entire street.
